The Rejected Luna: Daddy, Where is Mommy?

104

Ethlyn thought about the situation again and again. Yes, it was true that she was hurt by the news that her mother had hidden the truth from her, but at the same time, she tried to find the reason behind it. She was just trying to protect her other daughter, the daughter whom she left, the daughter who hated her.

Who knows, she was trying to prioritize her first daughter for the first time. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.

There was a lot of maybe or maybe not. A lot of questions were running in her time, but at that time, she wasn’t ready to hear the answer to her questions. She needed time to prepare herself for those answers.

‘Mom hid this from Nathan. Maybe to save Elena from his anger.’ She tried to put two and two together. ‘Or maybe Nathan would have done nothing to her. After all, he had loved her once. She did this to protect the anger of dad?’

‘Yes, that might be the case because dad would definitely have killed that person who did all this to me.’ She tried to conclude things.

‘Dad can’t kill anyone, even for the person he loves a lot.’ Cinder corrected her. ‘At least, not a woman. I know only one person who doesn’t give a damn whether the person is a woman or man before hitting.’ She added, and all of a sudden, her head turned toward Calvin.

‘Please don’t tell me that he is planning to kick Elena’s ass?’ Ethlyn thought when she observed Calvin thinking something deeply with a frown.

“Alphhhaaaa…” Ethlyn opened her mouth to speak but ended up crying loud when Calvin pulled her toward him without warning and wrapped his hand around her waist.

“Hmm. This was our previous position.” He muttered, on which Ethlyn glared at him as if she wanted to accuse him that he could have done this after giving her a warning, but nope, he dragged her holding her arms. “So, what were you saying?”

“I was about to ask that; what were you thinking so hard?” Ethlyn asked.

“Nothing much.” Calvin shrugged his shoulder. “I was thinking of asking you out tonight, and then we can date each other for a couple of weeks, hardly a month for our wolves, and then a lavish wedding in the morning and a proper luna ceremony at night.”

Ethlyn’s jaw dropped upon hearing it and her cheeks turned red automatically. She scolded herself for thinking so wrong about Calvin that he was thinking of kicking Elena’s ass. He was thinking about her, about them.

“I have enjoyed my whole life to its fullest. So, I’m thinking of enjoying this phase of my life as well. I mean, how hard it would be to fall in love with a useless woman.” Calvin said in a teasing tone.

“Hawww,” Ethlyn hit his arms angrily. “But it’s very hard to fall in love with a shameless man.” She complained and then smiled, watching Calvin smiling face.

“Let’s give it a try. An honest try.”

“For my… I mean our daughter.”

“In case it didn’t work out, then we will tell the truth to Rose,” Calvin suggested.

“And I’m sure she will understand,” Ethlyn added.

“Yes!!” Calvin nodded his head. “Finally, all good between us?”

“Yes. All good.” Ethlyn said before continuing, “By the way, I forgot to ask how did you manage to make mom speak the truth? Because I don’t think that she will do this on her own.” She asked in confusion, and immediately the smile on Calvin’s lips disappeared. The woman sitting in front of him got mad at him for speaking rubbish about his mother when she was the culprit. He couldn’t imagine how she would react after learning that her innocent father was in the hospital because of him.

‘Fuck!!’

“Dadddd,” Ethlyn quickly rushed toward Christian when her eyes landed on him. She held his hand and looked at him in worry.

“I’m fine, princess,” Christian said, caressing her face when he saw tears in the corner of her eyes. He looked at Calvin, who walked into the room a moment later. “I wasn’t badly injured,” he added, bowing his head toward Calvin to greet him.

“I’m sorry, Christian. I had to use you as bait.” Calvin apologized.

“Thank you for not doing anything to my mate.” Christian Smith showed his gratitude. “I thought the worst… but I mind-linked her I came to know that you had just locked her in a room. We will leave for our pack today.” He said it because he had to deal with Abigail there rather than create any drama in the pack, where his daughters were.

Why didn’t she ever tell him that she had a daughter before she met him?

“Dad, how can you travel tonight? Why don’t you stay till tomorrow?” Ethlyn suggested. “After all, this is also your daughter’s pack.” She added to create some pressure on her father and waited for Calvin to speak anything about that, but he didn’t. Neither was he surprised to hear that from her mouth because he just couldn’t show Ethlyn’s place as per his mood. He was the one who made her the Luna of the pack.

“Some other day, princess!! There are some things that I need to fix first.” Christian said, politely denying her request.

“Dad, please don’t be mad at mo….”

“I don’t want your opinion between us, at least not in this case. I have had enough of Abby.” Christian said in determination. “I don’t think I can live my further days of life with your mother, Ethlyn. And there is nothing that you can do about it. I expect you to understand.”

Ethlyn didn’t say anything about that, while Calvin was happy that by this way or that way, Abigail was going to reap what she sowed. Maybe that was what anyone calls as KARMA.
