Frey was stunned, looking at Nathaniel in disbelief. He was a major figure in Saeville, where every second of his time was valuable and meticulously planned.

Yet, he had left everything behind, personally driving back just to bring her the pancake he liked from his childhood.

Frey's emotions were mixed. Even though she didn't have much of an appetite, she couldn't reject the pancake. It was a simple gesture but filled with deep affection.

Avoiding his gaze, Frey took another bite and smiled, "It's delicious! Buy me some more next time!"

The tension in Nathaniel's face finally melted away. He held her in his arms, kissed her hair softly, and laughed, "I also lived in Saeville for a while as a child, and then..."

"Okay! But do you have time to come with me?"

Nathaniel hesitated. He had a meeting in the afternoon but then decided, "I have time. I always have time for you."
