Brenna continued to play dumb. "I don't know what you are talking about. Could you be more specific? What's going on with you?" she said.

Rosie was seething with anger while Sylvie and Vivian shook their heads in frustration, pacing restlessly around

the room.

Brenna wasn't the least bit surprised. She had already seen the news online last night about the horrific collision at Elm Street and instantly recognized Rosie's white car in the photos.

Rosie was beside herself with rage. Since the accident, only Ernst had bothered to call and comfort her, but he was swamped with meetings across his various businesses and couldn't spare the time to visit her.
