Chapter 1946 Unavoidable
Chapter 1946 Unavoidable
Curious about the boundaries of the area, Rocky took out his God-killing Sword and sent sword forces flying in all directions. Seconds later, one of the sword forces disappeared without a trace.
Rocky and Vivian perked up and walked in the direction. Before they could reach the spot where the sword force had disappeared, they crashed into an invisible wall and bounced backwards.
"No way. This barrier absorbed the God-killing Sword's power. It's definitely not an ordinary cover-up. If I'm right, it's a deity-level enchanted barrier," Rocky concluded.
"What are we going to do? If we can't break the enchanted barrier, then we will have to return empty- handed. This trip can't be in vain," Vivian said, frowning.
"Wait for me here." As soon as Rocky was done talking, he entered the palace using his mind.
"Is there any way to break a deity-level enchanted barrier?" Rocky asked the guardian immediately. There was no time for pleasantries.
"Yes. You must have enough power to break it," the guardian replied in a deep voice.
"Are you saying that I'm simply not strong enough to break the enchanted barrier?" Rocky asked with a frown.
"I am. However, it's not necessary to break it. After all, some enchanted barriers have a specific nature that allows a specific person to enter," the guardian reminded him.
"But how will I know if I am the specific person?" Rocky questioned.
"It's very simple. Place a drop of your blood on the enchanted barrier, and it will tell you if you are the specific person or not," the guardian answered.
"It's that simple?" Rocky asked, raising his eyebrows. He had never heard of such an easy test before.
"Yes, it is." The guardian nodded.
Rocky quickly withdrew from his mind and looked at Vivian excitedly. "Come with me. We have to see if our blood is accepted by the enchanted barrier."
"What? What are you talking about?" Vivian questioned. It was her first time hearing that someone's blood could be recognized by an enchanted barrier.
"There's no time for questions. It's our only option. Ladies first!" Rocky smiled.
Vivian glared at Rocky for a moment before she raised her hand and bit down on her finger. A drop of blood landed on the enchanted barrier, but the enchanted barrier did not have any reaction.
Sighing, Ricky scratched one of his fingers using his other hand, and the finger immediately cracked and oozed out a drop of blood.
Stepping forward, he allowed the blood to drip onto the enchanted barrier.
The moment his blood touched it, the enchanted barrier rippled like water. A huge tear appeared down the center of it.
"My blood worked! Let's go!" Wasting no time, Rocky and Vivian entered the enchanted barrier.
The moment they were inside, their eyes focused on the area ahead of them.
A winding, stone road stretched for miles at their feet, and at the end of it, there was a tomb at the top of the snow mountain. None of it could be seen on the outside of the barrier.
Rocky guessed that the tomb had something to do with the entrance of the Holy-Evil World.
He gestured for Vivian to follow him and they headed straight towards the tomb. However, they had to tread carefully. There was a chance that a legendary guardian beast could be waiting for them outside of the tomb.
But when they arrived at the entrance of the tomb, nothing happened.
Rocky took a cautious step forward and pushed the gate of the tomb. It swung open.
On the inside was a tomb made of crystal. It was the same as the crystal palace they had seen before. The same deity must have created both of them.
The tomb was large and beautiful. At the farthest point, a crystal coffin was leaning against the wall. Inside of it, a gorgeous woman appeared to be sleeping. As they got closer, they could see that she was dead.
"Isn't she the crystal statue we saw in the crystal palace?" Vivian asked, standing before the coffin.
"Yes. I think she's the body of the deity spirit. After she sealed the devil spirit with her own spirit, another deity must have stored her body in this tomb," Rocky guessed.
"But where is the entrance to the Holy-Evil World?" Vivian questioned, looking around. Everything in the tomb could be seen from where they were standing, and nothing looked like it could open the entrance to the Holy-Evil World.
"The body might have some clues." Rocky got closer to the deity's body and peered at it. Clutched in her hands was an unremarkable stone.
"I'm sorry, but I need to take a look at this stone," Rocky said as he pried the stone from the deity's hands.
The moment Rocky touched it, a strong force exited the stone and entered his body. A strange halo glowed around him.
Before he knew what was happening, he was looking at another world. All of its continents were floating like islands, and never-before-seen signs were hovering around them. However, all of the signs were full of ruins, like they had been destroyed by a huge force.
While Rocky was examining the new world, the entire Ethereal Valley started to tremble. In the center of the valley, a huge light column shot towards the sky, penetrating the heaven and earth.
The moment that the light column appeared, a huge rune did too.
Suddenly, Mikayla, who was in the Holy-Evil World, opened her eyes. She left her cultivation place and looked in the direction of the Supreme Ether Land. Squinting her eyes, she could see a light column falling from the sky and landing on an abandoned, floating area of land at the end of the Holy-Evil World. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
"Did he open the entrance to the Holy-Evil World in the Ethereal Valley?" Mikayla murmured to herself.
When the entrance in the Ethereal Valley was opened, the power of the Holy-Evil World could flow into the Supreme Ether Land. As a result, a temporary balance between the power of the Holy-Evil World and the Supreme Ether Land was created. The change was so intense that it had the ability to cause a mutation in the Supreme Ether Land. That could allow the spiritual power to become stronger and more abundant, and the cultivation speed of the spirit warriors to increase.
The last time that Rocky had opened the entrance to the Holy-Evil World in the Holy Heaven Palace, an invisible change had occurred in the Supreme Ether Land. But that time, only the human race had benefited.
In a similar way, when the entrance in the Ethereal Valley had opened, it would affect the spiritual race.
Now that the entrance was open, it would help the spiritual race in their cultivation.
However, the advantage would only be temporary. Once the races in the Supreme Ether Land became stronger, the balance would disappear if there was no corresponding change in the Holy-Evil World.
That meant that the remaining deities in the Holy-Evil World would have to select talents from the Supreme Ether Land that were qualified to reach the God Realm.
Previously, the Shura Race had been the only race that had the talents they needed, so their pool to choose from was very small. But now that the entrances to the Holy-Evil World in the human race and the spiritual race had been opened, a large number of outstanding talents could come forward and participate. Eventually, Godly Geniuses would be selected from the human race and the spiritual race as well.
But none of that could happen straight away.
First, a war would probably occur between the Shura Race and the others first because of the increasing power of the human race and the spiritual race.
