The moment I saw her…I knew, I knew that was my child. My wolf Dante was going wild, whimpering and howling, the scent of her so familiar..it hadn’t changed one bit. Sweet honey and fresh rain…I knew my little girl..my Amelia, I knew it was her. Harry knew too..werewolves have a distinct memory, scent is one of those they can remember all of their lives. How was this possible..it couldn’t be…we found the remains. Obviously, we didn’t test the DNA because who would have thought to do that?

Harry linked me immediately as he locked eyes on her, those emerald eyes that still glowed so brightly. Gabe was confused, but I could tell he felt something, some type of connection to her. And Cole thought Natalia had walked into the door as soon as he saw her. She looks just like her mother..even more beautiful. Her chocolate brown hair, her fair skin, and her natural beauty. I prayed the goddess would save my baby somehow. I knew deep in my heart she couldn’t be gone. Something always nagged at me…Something deep inside.

“What do you mean she is your daughter?” Rowan stood up, his eyes wide as he looked between us.

“My wife and daughter, they were killed by an Alpha almost eighteen years ago. The man, Marcus was obsessed with my Luna. He wanted her and my child and killed them in a fire while killing himself in the process. She was only six months old at the time but they found the remains..at least we thought they did..but Amelia…I mean Mila..she..she has to be.” I began to choke up, my son came beside me, his hand on my shoulder as he gripped me tightly. I felt Rose trying to reach me but I couldn’t tell her yet. I had to know for sure.

Alpha Rowan and his pack looked between one another, their eyes clouding as they were obviously communicating about this.

“Your daughter..when was her birthday?” The gamma asked quickly.novelbin

“January 4th.” I said without hesitation and suddenly Alpha Rowan sat down, his hand going to his head.

Another Alpha, Alpha Finn, from Blue Moon pack stood up and walked over to Alpha Rowan, sitting next to him.

“Mila, we found her because she ran from a rogue attack, her supposed father and she lived in a cabin a few hours from here. He kept her isolated, he told her that an Alpha killed her mother and wanted them dead so he took her and hid her away.” Alpha Rowan said and a low growl of anger not only left me but Harry and my son as well. My Gamma Cole just sat next to me, tears welling in his eyes as this all seemed so unbelievable.

“This man, what did he look like?” I asked quickly, there was no way he was still alive..no way in hell.

“He had black and silver hair, taller and fair skin, his wolf was large, black and silver, the wolf’s name was Lucius.” The gamma said and I stood abruptly, my hands clenching into fists.

“Alpha Marcus..” I roared, rage filling me as the urge to lash out began to take over.

“My friend, it’s okay, calm down.” Nicolas was by my side, my world completely flipped on its head..my baby was alive..my sweet girl. Our sweet girl was alive Natalia…

“It seems to be true.” Alpha Finn said to Alpha Rowan swiftly.

“We are searching for him as we speak, we have notified multiple packs and the elders even have his description..now that we know his true identity we will be able to have a clear picture of him.” Nicolas said, pushing me to sit down.

“We need to be sure, we need to do a DNA test.” Alpha Rowan said hastily, his expression deep in thought.

“F**k..and I thought things were finally settling down.” The beta laughed, causing the mood to lighten.

Vincent stood up, walking over to me, his hand on my shoulder as he smiled.

“Well my friend, things can’t get much better than that..it seems to be true but we can’t quite celebrate yet. To get your daughter back though..what a gift from the goddess that would be.” Vincent smiled broadly and I couldn’t help the tears streaming down my face..my daughter..my sweet daughter. Dante knew that was his pup, he knew without a doubt.

‘Our Amelia Alpha..it is her..it has to be.’

Harry linked to me and I reached over squeezing his hand. I knew without a doubt too..

The moment I locked eyes on her I knew..she was the one I was supposed to mate and mark..she was the one who I was supposed to love. Why wasn’t I her mate? Why wasn’t my sweet Amelia given to me? Her eyes pierced my soul, her touch lit my skin on fire..if I feel this way then why wasn’t she mine? It has to be her..it has to be the girl who has haunted my dreams since a small child. The girl who I was supposed to pick as my chosen mate..the girl who would be my Luna and me her Alpha..but why..why was she given to someone else..
