Chapter 375 The Family Gathers
Chapter 375 The Family Gathers
Hearing Joey's words, Allen, who was kept in the dark, felt that Joey could not have done a better job.
Since his grandfather had suffered a stroke and was paralyzed, although there were many servants to
take care of him, none of them were as attentive as Sharon. Allen had ever thought of bringing Sharon
back these years. But he failed to find her. Unexpectedly, Joey found Sharon now.
So, Allen gave Joey a big hug without saying a word, "Silly girl. I can't thank you enough for caring
about Grandpa like this. How can I blame you? Bringing Sharon back is exactly what I am hoping for.
But after so many years, I am not sure if she is still so loyal to Grandpa."
"We can take our time to observe this time. If you don't mind, I'll ask her to come back to the Charles
Family with us, okay?"
Joey was a little guilty and did not dare to look into Allen's bright eyes.
Joey could guess Sharon's intention. She thought that Sharon's biggest wish to return to the Charles
Family this time was not to take care of William, but to take revenge on George and Paige. This was
exactly what Joey would like to see.
With Sharon in the Charles Family, Joey did not need to do many things personally and would not
embarrass Allen at least.
"Okay, if you like."
Allen smiled and opened the car door for Joey.
Joey got out of the car, then raised her hand and waved at Sharon, who was standing at the
intersection. Sharon was overjoyed to see that Joey had really driven to pick her up as promised. She
immediately ran over with her luggage in her hand.
Since Allen and Joey were sitting in the back seat, Sharon naturally sat in the front seat. As soon as
she got into the car, she greeted Allen and Joey respectfully. She was as submissive as she was four
years ago.
Allen greeted her kindly, asked about her life in the past two years, and then didn't say much more. For
the love between William and Sharon, Allen had always neither opposed nor supported it. So, he was
very indifferent about Sharon's status.
Joey quietly lay in Allen's arms and didn't say a word. She couldn't be familiar with Sharon in public.
Half an hour later, they arrived at the Charles Family's villa!
To Joey's surprise, all the Charles family's members were there. George, Paige, Lawrence, Martha,
Lillian, and even Chance were all here. When Joey entered, Chance was gently brushing Lillian's hair
and clipping her hair. His gentle and warm smile made Joey wonder if she was mistaken. How could
such a smile appear on the face of someone like Chance?
Allen was not surprised to see everyone there. This was his deliberate arrangement. To make Joey's
return more grand, he purposely asked Lawrence and Martha to come back. Chance's appearance
was a bit beyond his expectation. Since he knew what Chance had done to Joey, he had already cut off
with Chance. Chance also rarely came to the Charles Family.
But there was one thing that could not be changed. Paige, his mother, was Chance's aunt. So, Chance
would not never come to the Charles Family!
"Joey, you're here. We're waiting for you to have dinner together!"
As soon as Martha saw Joey coming, she immediately greeted her with enthusiasm and took her arm
affectionately.
Since Joey told her the truth that she and Lawrence were not siblings, Martha was particularly grateful
to Joey for this. When she heard that Allen asked her to come back to support Joey, she went home
with Lawrence without hesitation.
However, George and Paige just glanced at Joey coldly. So, Martha became enthusiastic to break the
silence and winked at Lawrence. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
Lawrence, who was still cold, got up and smiled at Joey. He nodded and called out, "Joey!"
It was normal that Martha greeted Joey. But now, even Lawrence also greeted her, which shocked
George and Paige. They could not understand when Joey even bought Lawrence over.
But they didn't know Lawrence was no less grateful to Joey than Martha was.
The truth Joey told them mattered a lot to him and Martha. Otherwise, he would have been still hesitant
about his love for Martha. If it went on like this, the result was obvious. He and Martha would never
come to a good end. But now, everything was fine. Although he was still cold on the surface, which was
his character and could not be changed easily, he had been burning inside and already planning for his
and Martha's future!
