The Last Ceo’s Deal

Chapter 52: Free from all charges

DEAL WITH THE CEO

CHAPTER 52.

In the court.

Fanuel slammed his fist on the table causing a loud vibrating sound to jiggle in the silent court.

He acted as if he was the lawyer in charge and stared daggers at the CEO of Oakbay mining company.

The old man was having his fun with his lawyer spewing gibberish from his mouth about closing the company for fraudulent activities.

“Order in the court Mr Fanuel.”The judge said and Fanuel glared at him.

He wasn’t in the mood for all this bullshit, he was actually here to see things for himself and look into the stuff Mirabel said to him.

The lawyer of Oak bay continued and a little order was restored.

“Hudson chemical technologies is not only known for terminating contracts without without a valid reason and an acknowledged agreement between both partners, they are also known for looting, fraud and and fake personalities all in the name of experts in the field.”

“Objection my Lord!”

Fanuel’s lawyer stood up to disagree but he was cut short.

“Objection overruled! Mr Card please continue.” The judge said.

“Before I proceed, I would like to ask my client what this ruthless company did to his own that almost led to the downfall of his company.”

He said referring to the CEO of Oakbay who smiled at him and went over to the dock of the court.

He glanced at the Jury to see his team members and they gave him a thumbs up to give his best.

The judge at the bench seems so interested in the case of the Oakbay mining industry than that of Hudson’s technology.

He kept declining any opposition and defense made by Fanuel’s lawyer but took keen Interest in that of Oak Bay.

Fanuel was boiling.

He glanced at his driver and guard, Kol and gave him a go ahead signal with a language the both of them could only understand.

Kol left the courtroom and went to carry out his mission.

“The Hudsdon chemical technologies dealt with our company tremendously with an illegal act.

We trusted their service and went over to sign a multi million dollar project with them to carry out a particular filtration of oil in our company.

This project was to last for three months but for the next five months, nothing was done about it.

We confronted the head of department about it but she kept giving flimsy excuses to cover up their dirty acts.

The CEO of Hudson chemical technologies, Fanuel Hudson had connived with his manager to squander the million dollar project to close down our company!!” He yelled.

“Earlier before his wedding, he had come over to the office to threaten me about crumbling my company to dust. I have a voice note of exactly what he said that day.”

Gasp filled the air and Jayden hissed in frustration.

This was getting out of hand!

Edward stared at the man in shock but Fanuel was impassive and devoid of any emotions or expression.

Jayden didn’t see this coming at all, it’s as if this man was hell bent on destroying the company!

The man continued ranting and the evidence was played, the part where he promised to bring the company to ashes.

It was ruined!

Nothing could be done to save the company.

“That’s a blatant lie! He tried all his possible best to make a refund but you refused! You were the one who promised the downfall of his company!”

Fanuel’s lawyer couldn’t take it again as he butted in.

Damn the protocols!!

This was already beyond it as he could clearly see that the judge was being partial.

His boss wouldn’t stoop so low to do something outrageous as that, Fanuel reacts when you tickle him in the wrong place and direction.

“This should be your last warning Mr Flynn.” The judge halted at him but he glared back.

“This should be a court of argument and defense, but it’s clearly seen that you’re taking the culprit’s side.”

“You won’t teach me my job as a mere Lawyer or a district attorney, I need to follow due procedures and detect every fault in your client. Mr Card, please continue.”

“My client here stated how disrespectful and unprofessional the team members of Hudson chemical technologies were despite him trusting their efforts and signing a huge contract with them. The voice note here represents a lot of harmful threats to my clients and his members.”

“That was a meaningless and a harmful conversation that took place right in your office with all the members there!” Fanuel’s lawyers yelled but he was overruled.

“This imposes a threat to life, a threat to personal properties and belongings and an attempted murder.”

Gasps filled the whole courtroom and murmurings enveloped the serenity of the place.

Fanuel’s lawyer twitched his lips in anger and Jay stood up and left the room. He couldn’t stand this at all, he had to do something.

He discovered that the lawyer wasn’t on their side at all and he wasn’t doing the required procedures of everything.

It could only mean one thing.

The idiot was bribed to favor them in court!!

“My Lord we need no further suggestions and argument as this is seen as a huge offense to my client and against the rule of law.”

Mr Card bowed his head and returned to his seat.

“Objection my Lord, The opposing client hasn’t stated the pure intentions of my boss visiting him to clear the air between them, none of this Act was done by….”

“Objection overruled!”

He was cut short again!

“According to the 1978 Acts of law, section 23, page 19, it fully states that…..”

“That’s enough Flynn, rest ”Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.

Fanuel cuts him off and he gasps.

“These people are having their way, boss! They want to close down the company with their offensive accusations!”

“I know.”

You know?!!

And he’s all calm without saying a word, watching all the scenes as if it’s a Hollywood action movie?

The ranting continued and the Judge hit the hammer on the gravel.

“There will be no further arguments, here’s my judgment.”

He said and the god of silence took over the whole court.

“Judging from the arguments and declarations from the opposing and proposing defendants, I hereby declare that….”

He stopped when a text message popped up on his phone screen.

The whole world became blank to him as his lips quivered, eyes became red, his knuckles turned white and he balled his fingers into a tight fist.

Everyone became confused as they stared at the judge with an amused expression.

He kept staring at his phone and he swallowed hard, tears burned the back of his eyes and his throat became dry. He gathered the frail courage that was left of his strength and continued in dry whisper, stuttering.

“I…. I.. I h.. I hereby declare Fanuel Hudson not guilty of the accusations and he’s free from all charges without grant or bail”
