The Killer Queen (Noella Briony)

Chapter 470

Even without the North Star, she would thrive just fine!

Tavian knew arguing with Noella was futile, so he hung up the phone on the spot.

Turning to face the Quail Quartet.Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

"Go, and don't disappoint me."

"Yes, boss!"

Thorpe was on the verge of tears.

"The boss has been a mountain of support for us. Without him, we would've been gone long ago!"

"Enough with the sap, roll out already."

The quartet quickly left.

Half an hour later, Tavian, startled by the noise outside, frowned and said, "What's going on?"

His bodyguard was panicked!

"Boss, you gotta leave, we've been made!"

"There are over twenty hitmen on their way here!"

How did these hitmen discover this well-hidden yard?

Tavian scoffed.

"Noella, that girl, she's ruthless!"

The bodyguard said, "Boss, even Wise Fool shouldn't know our location, how did she manage to deliver that package?"

And to drop it precisely where Tavian was playing chess? Had it been a bit earlier, Tavian himself would have been crushed!

Tavian muttered to himself.

"North Star has an unactivated Sk system; could it be... it's been activated?"

With that in mind, seizing control of North Star became even more urgent!

...

Meanwhile, at North Star Lab.

Noella moved her neck around and cracked her fingers, the sound echoing in the room. She had been in this posture for too long, dealing with her subordinates' tasks.

Mizar said, "Boss, we've blown up all of 7-Slayer's factories, but not many. The explosives from the Baker Group were somewhat insufficient." She didn't even want to mention what 7-Slayer had been up to these years!

Their lab's explosives were more abundant than those from the Baker Group, an international scam syndicate!

The difference was their explosives were supplied directly to the military, while Baker Group's useless junk could only blow up a ditch.

Palmer handed Noella a cup of hot water, his large, strong hands gently massaging her shoulders, fingers pressing accurately on the acupoints, with just the right amount of pressure.

"the Pollack Group has gathered all the criminal evidence against 7-Slayer and sent it to your mailbox."

Mizar was surprised, "Boss, we're not going head-to-head with 7-Slayer?"

Noella calmly replied, "Isn't it more convenient to trust in the law?"

7-Slayer had been too influential for too many years, rarely anyone could shake his position!

Mizar also worried about this.

"But he surely has ways to protect himself..."

"It doesn't matter. He's old. Even if he's locked up for a few years, who knows what condition he'll be in when he gets out."

What Noella wanted was exactly to have 7-Slayer locked up for a few years!

After all, at his age, instead of enjoying his twilight years, his brain was always in overdrive. It was uncertain if he could leave prison in one piece! "What if he runs?"

Noella pointed at the screen, where a bunch of red dots was quickly converging on 7-Slayer's courtyard.

The address of the courtyard was sent by Thorpe and his team at the earliest.

They were all wearing trackers developed by Noella!

Noella's tone was as calm as if she was discussing something unrelated to her.

"So, I also tipped off the police. Having so many hitmen coming here is too frightening." Mizar: "..."

Do you look frightened at all!

And weren't those hitmen called by you?

Noella shrugged, "My family is in Imperial City, so many hitmen would affect public safety. Since 7-Slayer has a special status, it's only right to protect him."

Cruel, utterly cruel!

At the lab's entrance, the winded Quail Quartet stumbled in, Hollis reaching into his mouth to pull out his big tooth, revealing a tracker!

"Also copied some stuff from the boss's computer, but we only have twenty minutes! Hurry!"

The North Star team looked at the tooth with some disdain.

"How long has it been since you brushed your teeth?"

"Is that the point?"

After washing the tooth in a

sterilizing pool and using tweez

to carefully pick it up, Noella's fingers danced over the keyboard, copying everything within!

Palmer watched Noella's fluid movements, full of admiration.

Frowning, he asked, "How did you get close to 7-Slayer's computer?" Tandy grinned.

"It was something Noella gave me before, capable of directly copying data from phones and computers that had been connected to this phone. 7-Slayer is old and dislikes fiddling with electronic devices."

Meaning, 7-Slayer's setup was incredibly simple!

Just a phone and a computer!

Perhaps 7-Slayer himself didn't know that the key evidence incriminating him was copied from his phone...

Dog-Head's phone rang.

7-Slayer's cold voice emanated from it.

"Betraying me? You don't care about your son anymore?"

Dog-Head was sweating bullets!

He had forgotten that Shiba was still in school!

In an instant, Dog-Head's muscles tensed up, the intense fear causing his calves to tremble!

Noella, with lightning speed, copied the tracker's data before everything was formatted, sending it all to the police!

Without looking back, Noella said, "Shiba went to the set to find Stirling. Stirling's TV show needed a child with autism, so they took him."

Shiba was extremely wary of strangers, trusting only Dog-Head and Stirling!

Handing the still-panicked Dog-Head his phone, Stirling was seen on screen, hugging Shiba, both engrossed in the filming equipment, looking utterly serious!

Dog-Head instantly breathed a sigh of relief.

Slayer burst out in anger, “You had all this figured out in advance? You think you're some kind of mastermind?”

Noella replied with a smirk, "I'm no accountant, never been one for crunching numbers. These are just the gifts you've given me, enjoy them!"

A dial tone followed, cutting the call short.

Thorpe just plopped down on the floor, exhausted.

"Thank goodness our boy's safe, Noella, how did you know the boss would go after Shiba?"

"It's his style, isn't it? Burn bridges

after

g them. If he could

discard Connor afteret

he w

these years, hesitate with us either."

A heavy silence fell upon the group.

They were all too aware that they were nothing but guard dogs kept by Slayer!

Now that their master was in danger, it was their duty to take a bullet for him!

Loyalty, it turned out, was the biggest joke of all.

Noella chuckled, "Fortunately, I'm the complete opposite of Slayer. What he disregards, I value."

Dog-Head wiped away a tear.

"From now on, my life is yours!"

Noella shook her head.

"You still have your own lives to live, and... I don't want any subordinates who are balding."

The four of them together couldn't muster a full head of hair, it was a sight for sore eyes.

The group burst into tears.

On the set.

Hugging Shiba while reviewing the day's footage, Stirling pointed at the screen, patiently explaining, "Shiba, this is you, this is me." Shiba's gaze was unfocused, symptomatic of his condition, refusing any form of communication, devoid of any real connection. Stirling remained patient, never showing any sign of frustration at Shiba's inability to understand him.

Yasbel couldn't stand it anymore!

"Stop troubling the kid."

"It's not troubling him, it's about getting him back to normal society sooner. Stars are beautiful, but after all, we live on Earth!"

A smile played on Yasbel's lips as he watched Stirling earnestly engaging with the child.

Someone from the props department called out, "Stirling, you're up for a solo scene next, come get changed!"

As Stirling was about to set Shiba down, Yasbel suddenly shouted, "Watch out!”

A rack nearby teetered and toppled towards Stirling and Shiba!
