The Killer Queen (Noella Briony)

Chapter 434

The moment the Celestial Ocean Diamond made its appearance, everyone held their breath in anticipation.

But what followed was a shocking video!

The screen captured Luna's face in clear view.

"Steal the Celestial Ocean Diamond and slip it into Noella's purse!"

"Ms. Patel, this... this is illegal..."

Luna slapped her assistant across the face!

"My word is law! How dare this wretched woman try to embarrass me here! Well, let's see what she has to say when the Celestial Ocean Diamond turns up on her person!"

The video then cut to Luna's assistant sneaking backstage and taking the Celestial Ocean Diamond. It even captured the moment she tucked it into Noella's purse amidst the chaos!

The Schnabel family's jewelry exhibition was under tight surveillance everywhere but the restrooms. Especially the room where the jewelry was displayed. The cameras were so clear that they could capture every pore on the assistant's face!

Luna realized too late that Noella had set a trap for her!

Damn it!

Noella calmly stated, "Such actions are not tolerated at a Schnabel Group venue. Theft, especially from within, will never occur in any of the Schnabel family's enterprises."

"As for Ms. Luna and her assistant, the police will handle them."

As Luna was dragged away, her mouth covered by Alioth, the crowd was stunned! Just moments ago, some were considering purchasing Luna's exorbitantly priced designs. Now, they were sweating bullets in relief for not making a purchase.

That would've been like dancing on the Schnabel family's head! What was the Patel family even thinking...Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

On stage, the Celestial Ocean Diamond slowly rose. Under a galaxy of lights, the diamond sparkled like a star, with the designer donning a matching gown appearing before everyone! With the jewelry as a backdrop, Darcy, in her light tulle dress, looked as if she was wearing a wedding gown woven from the Milky Way!

Beckett, seeing the person on stage, stood up, disbelief written all over his face. Darcy looked at him, nodding slightly towards Noella.

Suddenly, the entire venue dimmed! All the lights focused on the stage, and a multitude of stars appeared on the ceiling. Darcy's voice resonated from all directions, her tone both gentle and firm.

"Once, I was told my name sounded lovely."

"But I always thought, a boat is just a boat, and mountains are simply mountains. Even if a boat can cross over, the mountain paths are still long and winding."

"This person took me across mountains and seas, to see the stars!"

"I thought that was it for my life. But it was the stars that told me, even in the presence of mountains, stars cannot be obscured!"

Beckett remembered their first trip together to see the starry sky. He had thought Darcy didn't enjoy it. Little did he know, she had cherished every moment!

"The Celestial Ocean Diamond was, embarrassingly, designed as my own bridal jewelry."

On stage, a pair of rings never before seen were revealed, drawing gasps from the audience. Everyone thought the necklace and earrings were the treasures, but it was the rings that truly captured the essence of the Celestial Ocean Diamond.

"Being wedding rings, they come in pairs."

"And because they were designed for a wedding, they're also my gift to my star, hence not for public sale."

Darcy's gaze fell on the rings, and behind her, the galaxy converged into a sea of flowers, her eyes brimming with tears as she looked towards Beckett.

"I've always lived in the past, always thinking about what once was."

After reuniting with Beckett, Darcy always unwittingly thought of the past. The past, always the past, because she was certain they had no future together!

But the seeds of inferiority, sown by a broken family, would eventually wither in her persistence. She wanted Beckett to see her shine, to be worthy of him!

"I'm sorry I ran away back then, but now, I want to ask you, will you marry me?"

"I've traveled a long way to find you again, so... do you still want me?"

Behind her a sea of white roses bloomed. She was already in her wedding dress, the one she had chosen long ago. And she wore the rings, designed from the moment they started dating!

to

She had found her beloved star, always cherished in her heart. But she wasn't sure if her star still wished to marry her!

The audience gasped! They never

expected the designer of the Celestial Ocean Diamond to propose to her beloved on this day! And that person was none other than Mr.

Schnabel of the Rising Glory Group!

Beckett realized the meaning of the white roses, affirming she was indeed worthy of him! His girl, thinking she wasn't good enough for him!

Beckett chuckled softly, momentarily stunned, before Noella nudged him.

"Beckett, Ms. Darcy is waiting for your answer!"

"Yes, Beckett knows."

The stage was a bit high, but Beckett effortlessly leapt onto it, appearing before Darcy.

"Is this what you meant by 'status'?"

All planned in advance with Noella!

Darcy nodded.

"Yes, so you have every right to reject me. I've laid everything out in front of you, you can choose not to accept."

Beckett slowly shook his head.

"I can't accept."

As he saw the light fade from Darcy's eyes, Beckett picked up the ring behind him, his voice exceptionally tender.

"I can't, because this is something I should have done."

"The past is behind us."

"So now, will you marry me, Darcy?"

yet

Holding the rings Darcy had designed, Beckett walked through a sea of stars to stand before Darcy, dressed her wedding gown, and knelt on one knee. Tears streamed down Darcy's face, but she was resolute. Proposing isn't just a man's job, after all.

Even facing rejection, she had done everything she had wanted to do!

"I do!" she exclaimed.

The matching Celestial Ocean Diamond rings fit perfectly on Beckett and Darcy's fingers, symbolizing their shared stars worn close to their hearts.

Meanwhile, on a Pacific island, Sienna, lounging on the beach and scrolling through videos on her phone, suddenly sat upright with a gasp! "Oh my, how heartwarming! This designer just proposed in public... Wait, why does the proposee look so familiar?"

Poking Tristan, who was leisurely fishing nearby, Sienna asked uncertainly, "Honey, isn't that our son?"

"How could that be? All three of our sons are bachelors; who would propose to them?"

Upon a closer look, Sienna covered her mouth in shock.

"But why do I also see our Noella there?"

Tristan leaned over for a look, and the couple exchanged bewildered glances. It really was their son!

After watching the video several times, Sienna was convinced it was indeed her eldest son, Beckett, who had somehow remained single into his thirties.

Just as she was about to call him for details, Sienna received a private message on her social media.

"Mrs. Schnabel, your future daughter-in-law is no good and doesn't deserve to marry into the Schnabel family!"
