Chapter 94 - Reach for the Stars
Chapter 94 - Reach for the Stars
"There's no way he'd have that kind of money,"
Patrick exclaimed, his voice full of anger. He shook his head in disbelief as Arthur accepted yet another
business proposal that even Patrick knew was unreasonably expensive.
"Are you sure you haven't done too much, Mr. Gardner?" Patrick asked skeptically. "Thirty billion dollars
is not a small amount of money, are you certain you have that much worth?"
Arthur remained standing, simply offering a smile in response. Not long after, Max ascended the stage
and clapped his hands lightly, prompting a standing ovation from the entire audience.
Max exclaimed in awe, standing over Sylvia. "Isn't this just incredible?! Mr. Gardner has agreed to
Sylvia's business proposal at an exceptionally favorable rate."
"Are you sure he's not cheating by pouring that much money into this senseless business?!" Patrick
asked skeptically, still trying to fight back. He had a feeling that something strange was happening with
what Arthur was doing, and he was determined to uncover it that night.
"I think it's essential that we verify the funds promised by Mr. Gardner are in fact accessible," Patrick
proposed. "We don't want this prestigious event to be ruined due to someone's careless actions."
"Absolutely," Cash concurred. "We need to ensure that the funds are available before we move
forward. We don't want our reputation to be damaged by any thoughtless decisions."
"Let's give a big round of applause for everyone's enthusiasm!" Max exclaimed. He then continued,
"The Business Takeover Team has made sure that the funds for investment are securely locked away
to protect against any fraudulent activity. Additionally..."
Max then looked outside the stage where the show's producers had already given the signal. Upon
seeing the big screen behind them illuminate with a different view of the video, he realized that all the
funds promised by Arthur had successfully been transferred.
The audience erupted into applause and praise for Arthur, who had delivered on all his promises. "He
really had all the funds he had promised to invest," someone shouted.
"Ch!" Patrick's face was filled with annoyance as he left the stage and returned to his seat. "I'll get him
for this! He dared humiliate me in front of so many," he muttered his determination to teach Arthur a ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
lesson and show him who he was palpable. Looking over at Cash Todd, Patrick could tell they were
both of the same minds regarding dealing with Arthur.
Cash Todd muttered to himself, sitting next to Arthur, his eyes filled with curiosity, "I think he's
purposely hiding his true identity? He's even willing to spend a lot of money for such a ridiculous
business. Or could it be that someone really rich is standing behind it? I've never heard of someone
with the last name Gardner having that much wealth."
Audience comments grew louder and louder, expressing their admiration and curiosity about Arthur's
identity.
"Does Arthur really outshine Patrick?" asked one of the spectators.
"30 billion is an outrageous sum of money – will the business really be able to run smoothly?"
"I'm so curious, who is Arthur Gardner really?" another added.
"I think, if he can get away with that kind of money so easily, is it possible that he has an even greater
fortune? I think he could even buy the whole town," someone else suggested.
"You're really going too far," laughed another, "but if I were Arthur Gardner, I definitely wouldn't let go of
the opportunity to acquire the business of someone as gorgeous and perfect as Sylvia."
Sylvia, the young girl, stood in disbelief on the stage, her expression calm yet exuberant. Her mind was
a swirling mix of joy, sadness, satisfaction, and disbelief.
“He actually approved my business proposal,” Sylvia muttered, her head spinning as she struggled to
take in the reality of what was happening before her eyes. "Yes...he really granted my business
proposal," she murmured, her eyes still glassy with shock.
"Congratulations again, Sylvia!" Max exclaimed, his voice full of enthusiasm. "This is the first time in all
my years of hosting this event that I've seen a business proposal as impressive as yours. Plus, you
managed to get the funding you were aiming for."
Sylvia nodded slowly in acknowledgment. "Thanks," she replied briefly.
"You're so young and yet you've come up with such an amazing idea! How did you get such a brilliant
idea? I'm sure you put in a lot of hard work to make it happen!" Max applauded and walked to the
center of the stage, and the audience followed suit, cheering for Sylvia.
"Once again, congratulations on your accomplishment, Sylvia—your dream is becoming a reality! I'm
looking forward to hearing more good news about the work you're going to do in the future." Max
extended his right hand and smiled.
Sylvia greeted Max's handshake with a warm, friendly smile. "Thank you, Max," she said, emphasizing
her words with a quick nod. "I will work harder and harder after this, dedicating my life to this big
dream."
Turning to Arthur, Sylvia fell silent, taken aback by his calm and relaxed demeanor despite having just
agreed to a business proposal with such a large investment value. "Mr. Gardner," she finally said, her
voice full of gratitude, "thank you for the opportunity you have given me."
Arthur nodded and returned a warm smile. Their gaze connected, and Sylvia beamed.
Once Sylvia stepped away from the podium, the event resumed with the following participants. Each
gave a remarkable performance, yet despite the expectations that Arthur would quickly fund their
projects, he ultimately only selected five.
"I think Arthur Gardner is just a person with an abundance of wealth who is squandering his money, but
he really chooses all his decisions with thorough consideration," someone said.
"I agree," his friend replied. "He only selects business ideas that have a great concept and promise for
the future. The remarkable part is, he doesn't seem to worry about the cost of the investment he
makes, as long as the business concept is remarkable, then he's ready to go."
"I wish I could also come up with such an innovative business idea,"
"I want to pursue my aspirations and join this program in the upcoming season,"
"This is amazing," Arthur exclaimed, beaming with satisfaction at the result of the business proposal
event he attended that night. He had carefully chosen five people he felt would best fulfill his vision
based on his set criteria.
Arthur had carefully chosen a team of highly talented individuals that he knew he could trust to help him
realize his vision. These people were passionate and dedicated to their cause; Arthur believed that with
their support, they could create a brighter future for all.
After a few minutes, the remarkable event had come to an end, and the audience applauded in
appreciation for the numerous accomplishments of the night. This was the most successful season
thus far, allowing many talented individuals to find their way and inspiring many to dare to dream again.
"Thank you for this incredible evening, Mr. Winter and Mr. Todd," Arthur said, rising to his feet and
beginning to leave.
"I know we're thinking the same thing, Mr. Winter," Cash muttered under his breath as Arthur walked
away.
"Yeah, I think I'm going to completely destroy that guy," Patrick answered in an even tone.
"Is it possible he is the same person as he who had caused chaos in this city?" Cash continued.
"Glitzy? I'm not sure," Patrick said with a glare, "but I have a suspicion that Glitzy is part of this Arthur
Gardner. I haven't felt this much enthusiasm in a long time," he added, clenching his fists.
