Calux’s POV

It is been three days since we all got back to class. Everything went well. They seem to have forgotten what happened at the party.

For three days now, I have been seeing Ashleigh with my twin. It can be seen that they are very happy but it is also noticeable that Ashleigh is keeping her distance from him.

I am currently outside the castle (building) sitting in a fountain not far from the Academy entrance. I prefer to spend time here during break time. I suddenly noticed Ashleigh alone without a companion. She was going to the very outside of the Academy… To Town Square.

I was about to follow her when someone suddenly pulled my arm. I immediately looked around to see who was pulling me.

“Diasspro? What are you doing here?” I asked her in astonishment.

“I should be the one asking you that… WHAT are you doing here?” she asked me emphatically.

I gasped and then stared at her seriously.

“I’m spending time here. Why do you ask?” I asked her again.

“Are you sure you are spending time? But it looks like you’re going somewhere.” she said sarcastically and let go of my arm.

“What are you saying?” as if I did not understand her.

“Calux, Don’t make me a fool. I saw that you wanted to follow that woman.” she says.

“Which woman?” feigns ignorance I asked.

“Calux, What do you think of me? Stupid? Blind? I am not easy to deceive Calux.” she says.

Instead of arguing with her, I decided to just go inside the Academy. But this woman’s pride is very high.

“Don’t even turn your back on me Calux!” she shouted.

So almost all the students outside the Academy were already looking at us.

“What is going on?”

“Why are they fighting?”

“I think they’re having Lover’s Quarrel.”

“Awit!”

Author’s Note:

“Awit” is a Slang word from the Philippines. It’s a combination of 2 words, “awww” and “sakit”, The “sakit” is “pain” in English, thus the word “Awit”. Means aww sakit. Used when you are describing an unfortunate situation.

I hope it helps you to understand hahaha, In the upcoming chapters you will also encounter different Slang Words but do not worry because I will put some explanations for them. That’s all hahaha.

I close my eyes before facing her.

“Okay fine, what do you want us to talk about?” I asked her without emotion.

“Calux… Do you like that woman?” She asked me a serious question.

“What kind of question is that? Diasspro?” I asked her confused.

Is this woman crazy?

“Where did you get that idea?” I asked her again.

“Answer my question! Do you like that dumb girl?! I thought you despise her?” she was obviously jealous of her question.

“I do despise her okay?” I shouted. “Diasspro? You’re the only one who makes yourself jealous.” I added.

“Prove it to me then. Right now! Prove to me that I was just thinking a mistake!” she shouted.

Almost all of the students are already gathering with us. Gossiping…

Just as I was pulling her, she was about to enter the Academy and was approaching us.

I immediately grabbed Diasspro’s waist and kissed her in front of everyone. I noticed that Ashleigh even stopped walking when she saw me kissing Diasspro. I could hear the students shouting and praising.

“This is not what I am referring to Calux.” Diasspro whispered as our faces parted. “Show me you don’t really like her.” she whispered again.

My face got serious and I immediately walked over to Ashleigh,

“Omg! What will Calux do to her?”

“Calux’s eyes seemed to glaze over as he approached her.”

“He’s scary.”

Ashleigh even backed away when she saw that I was going to her. I immediately grabbed her hand and broke the bracelet that her older brother gave her on her arm.

“Let me go!” restraining he says.

“I don’t want to, sorry.” no emotion I say.

I just felt Ashleigh step on my foot cause I let her go. She was about to pick up her bracelet when I got ahead of her to pick it up.

“What the–? Give me back my bracelet!” she shouts and tries to take her bracelet from me.

“I don’t want to.” I answered and raised my hand so that she could not reach it. “Didn’t you say it’s the bracelet your brother gave you on your birthday?” smirking I asked her.

“What do you care? And why do you want to take my bracelet from me? Give it back to me!” she shouted.

I turned to Diasspro with a very serious face as she watched Ashleigh and me.

I gasped and turned to Ashleigh when I suddenly pushed her because of her insistence I pushed her to the ground unintentionally. There I did not realize that there was a sudden blow to my face with excessive force causing me to fall to the ground. I touched my lip and felt it bleeding. I looked at who had punched me.

“You’re shameless!” He shouted.

“D-Demian!” said Ashleigh who was now hugging my twin.

“Aren’t you really ashamed Calux? You’re going to hit a woman too?” the anger was obvious in the tone of his speech.

I would have stood up when I felt his blow again.

“I don’t know what went into your mind to embarrass a woman! But I hope you think that you are embarrassing a woman and not a man!” he said and punched me.

“T-That’s enough Demian!” said Ashleigh to him but he didn’t stop punching my face.

But before he could punch me again I preceded him and punched him hard.

“This is nothing to do with you, So go away and don’t interfere!” I shout at him.

I was so annoyed that I broke her bracelet and with all my strength I threw the bracelet through the fountain. Ashleigh suddenly approached me. I thought she was going to slap me but instead, she pulled me upright before she ran to the fountain to pick up her bracelet.

Suddenly I felt my heartbreak when my older brother approached her and there I could see the sadness in Ashleigh’s eyes. My older brother immediately hugged her and there I saw that little by little she hugged my twin while she was crying.

I don’t know but maybe because of anger I just walked into the Academy. Regardless of what the students whispered about me. But even before I could enter completely, I heard my name… Being called by the principal.

I just felt someone hold my hand.

“C-Calux.” said Diasspro.

I ignored her and went straight to Principal Alastor’s office.

When I entered I saw Principal Alastor and Ms. Aislinn both standing and looking at me.

I just bit my lip while Principal Alastor scolded me. I don’t care what he says because for me… it’s just nothing, but the one I saw earlier. When my twin and Ashleigh hugged, it was even more painful than what Principal Alastor said to me today.

I no longer understood what he was going to say.

“You have been suspended for a week. You will not enter the Academy until your suspension ends. I have also given a letter to your parents today in Fleland to inform them of the mistakes you did today at the Academy. Get ready; later, the portal will open to bring you into your respective kingdom. You can go now. ”

Without hesitation, I immediately got up and left Principal Alastor’s office. I immediately went to my room to arrange my belongings. Then I exited when I reached the lobby Diasspro greeted me with her friend Madison.

“I-I’m sorry… I’m the reason you were suspended.” said Diasspro.

But I ignored her. I was about to walk when he pulled the back of my uniform.

“Please talk to me. Hon…” he said.

“Let’s just talk when I get back.” I said and continued on the walk out of the Academy.

When I got out I saw that Stheno and Ashleigh were together. I stared at Ashleigh.

We both stared at each other. She had no emotion staring at me and neither did I… but I was the first one to avert my eyes and continued walking and when I saw that the portal was open I immediately entered.

Seeing her hugging my twin was the most painful punishment I have ever felt.

‘I wish it was me if I still had my decisions in life. I wish it was me… I wish I am the one she was hugging me… if only I could get rid of this thread… I’m sorry Ashleigh… I’m really really sorry… ‘
