The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 782

It was windy up on the rooftop. Nathan stood on the edge with his leg muscles tensed up and his figure leaning back. He was afraid that the wind might knock him down.

He just stood there and looked at the man without saying anything.

He had seen way too many people like this. The assassins taken in by The Misfortune's Veil were all people looking for an end.

Nathan used to joke about calling The Misfortune's Veil the Suicide Shelter. He had met enough of these people to know exactly how to handle them. He understood they just needed someone to listen to them, so he kept his mouth shut and let them talk.

The man added, "Can you even imagine? That bitch said neither of those kids is mine. Damn it! She actually said that. I didn't believe it at first, so I went for a DNA test. Fuck! It turns out that the kids aren't mine.

"That's two kids, and neither one is biologically mine. Everything I worked for was for those kids. I put them above myself, and they're not even mine."

When he started talking about it, he didn't look defeated anymore. Instead, he was furious and started yelling.

Nathan finally saw his chance to jump in. "You're a great guy and a dad who loves his kids. Too bad your wife isn't worth it."

He got all worked up and continued, "She's just a heartless slut. I'm out there busting my ass, and she's home messing around with other guys. She even made you raise kids that aren't yours. She's pure evil!"

Upon hearing that, the man got even angrier and yelled at the top of his lungs, "She's just a lowlife! An utter scumbag. She's..."

The man seemed consumed by anger. With bloodshot eyes, he kept cursing the same thing.

Beside the man, Nathan added, "Your wife doesn't even respect you as a man, and the man cheating with your wife is even more despicable. If I were you, I'd end myself as well. But first, I'd make sure to take care of her and her cheating partner. I have to get my revenge. Even if I die, I'd at least die with dignity."

The man paused for a moment, then his eyes lit up. He started mumbling to himself, "You're right. I need to kill them. Even if I die after, I'll die with no regrets. I'm going to deal with them now."

With that, the man turned around and started walking off.

Nathan was taken aback. Out of all the people he had met who were suicidal, the man's attitude changed the fastest.

Maybe he didn't want to die. It was just the humiliation that made him think about it.

Seeing the man walk a few yards away, Nathan hurried after him. "You need

some skill to pull off a kill. Without it, they might turn the tables on you."

The man kept walking as he remarked, "I'll just swing a kitchen knife at them. Who needs skills for that?"

Nathan swiftly caught up to the man. "After you kill them and end up dead, what about your parents? Are they going to end up paying for your crime? I've got ways to keep you out of trouble while you get the job done. Here's my number. If you're interested, contact me."

The man looked at Nathan in surprise, as it it was the first time he had heard this idea. "You've got a point. I can't drag my parents into this, but getting away with it isn'tnoveldrama

going to be easy. The cops won't just sit around."

Nathan confidently said, "If you trust me, just give me a call. I promise you can get rid of them without any consequences."

With that, he ignored the man and walked briskly down the stairs to a floor with an elevator. Then, he took the elevator down.

Nathan took off in a hurry because he was concerned that the firefighters would show up and start asking him questions.

He wasn't keen on showing his face and didn't want to get involved with the man too much either. Since he wore a mask, there was no way the man knew what he looked like.

Upon arriving at the first floor, Nathan sat on a bench by the street and waited for his new subordinate to reach out to him.

Half an hour later, Nathan's phone rang, and he picked up the call. "Hello. Who are you looking for?"

Oswin Walden softly asked, "I'm the guy from the rooftop. My name's Oswin. You said something earlier about a way to kill someone without facing charges. Can you tell me how?"

Nathan knew who it was right away, but he pretended to be surprised "It's you. There are many ways to go about it. What line of work are you in? Lean tailor a method that suits you."

Personalized approach?

Oswin was bewildered. "What do you mean by tailored? W-Who are you?"

Nathan figured it was time to reel Oswin in. "I'm an assassin, and I make my living by killing people. My rates are high. It'll be one million dollars for each target."
