The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 520

Sebastian and Matthew quickly came down the stairs.

While passing by, they came across a psychiatric patient. The latter saw the blood on Sebastian and came over, saying, "You're going to get in trouble when you get home with those dirty clothes. Look at how clean my clothes are."

As the psychiatric patient spoke, she tugged at her hospital gown and showed it to Sebastian.

"Cassidy Garrett?" The moment Sebastian saw her, he immediately called out her

name.

Matthew furrowed his brows. "Do you know her?"

Sebastian sported a conflicted expression. "She got married to Abel Ballard, my neighbor. The latter worked in the mines for Craig and died inside.

"Craig paid her tens of thousands of dollars, but she wasn't happy with it. In the end, Craig sent her to this psychiatric hospital."

It was actually her. Matthew recalled that Craig had mentioned this before, but now it looked like she had really gone mad.

Matthew couldn't help but thought to himself, "What a tragedy."

After looking at Matthew for a while, Cassidy pointed at Sebastian and remarked, "See? His clothes are dirty. You shouldn't play with him. Stay away from filthy kids."

Matthew recalled that the hospital was locked down. The best way to get out was through the hospital director. So, he said to Cassidy, "Can you show me to the director's office?"

Suddenly, a look of fear appeared on Cassidy's face. "The director is terrifying, and you shouldn't go to him. He's tough and hits harder than anyone. You'll end up crying from the beating."

Matthew had no doubt that Cassidy was telling the truth. If even a regular doctor here stabbed Sebastian with scissors, the hospital director must have been even more brutal.

Matthew tried to coax Cassidy with a gentle tone. "If you take me to the director, I'll buy you any treat you want. How does that sound?"

With a shrewd look, Cassidy sized up Matthew and curiously asked, "Did your parents give you some pocket money?"

Matthew nodded. "My mom gave me 100 dollars as an allowance, so feel free to ask for anything you want to eat."

Cassidy twitched her mouth. "You're just talking big. Show me the money. I need to see it to believe you."

Matthew was at a loss for words. Was she really mentally ill? She was too clever to count her chickens before they hatched.

Thankfully, Matthew had 200 dollars on him. He pulled out the money and waved it at Cassidy. "Look at it. If you take me there, I'll buy you some snacks."

Cassidy's eyes were glued on the 100-dollar bill. "I want some chips. Can you buy me some?"

Matthew chuckled and replied, "Sure thing. You can have all the chips you want."

Cassidy eagerly responded, "Great! Follow me, and I'll show you where the director is. You need to be light on your feet like a cat. Don't make any sound."

Cassidy led the way, sticking along the edges of the path. She gingerly moved forward.noveldrama

Rayman Brock frowned when he saw the direction Cassidy was heading. Clearwater Psychiatric Hospital had four buildings. The outpatient facility was at the front, followed by two office buildings and a ward.

Under normal circumstances, the director's office would be in the office building,

but Cassidy walked toward the hospital ward.

On top of that, she wasn't heading for the lobby on the first floor. For some

reason, she made her way to the entrance of the basement.

Matthew suddenly felt like he might have made a mistake. Why did he ask a psychiatric patient to lead the way?

"Are you sure you're not lost?"

Matthew had barely finished his sentence when Cassidy held a finger up to her mouth and hushed him. She then whispered, "Don't talk."

After saying that, Cassidy waved her hand and stayed close to the wall. She tiptoed as she made her way inside.

As Matthew moved onward, he glanced around and realized it was an entrance to an underground parking lot.

After walking down the ramp to the first basement level, he realized that there wasn't a car in sight.

It looked like the basement parking lot had been renovated, with partitions creating separate spaces. There were probably a dozen of them. The corridor was dimly lit.

Matthew turned to Sebastian beside him. As their eyes met, they both realized they wanted to get out of here.

Right then, Cassidy reached the door of a room and turned back to wave at the two of them. Matthew was done with following Cassidy inside, so he turned to walk away.

Out of nowhere, a sharp snapping noise rang out, like the sound of a whip thrashing at a skin surface. An agonizing scream erupted next. The voice was raspy and frail, like it was coming from someone old.

"Just kill me already!"

Matthew turned to wave at Sebastian, signaling Sebastian to investigate it. Then, he saw Sebastian getting really worked up, saying, "I think it's Dad's voice."

Was that Theo? Matthew was taken aback. Theo had indeed been taken away by the Red Wolves.

If the voice in the room was Theo's, then Clearwater Psychiatric Hospital had to

be the Red Wolves' hideout. The longer Matthew thought about it, the more convinced he was.

Just this morning, Matthew and

Caleb had speculated about where the Red Wolves' hideout could be. They quickly ruled out the

psychiatric hospital first, but the Red Wolves had actually flipped the script.

Thinking about this, Matthew hurried over to the room where the noise was

coming from. Upon reaching the door, Matthew kicked it open.
