The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 48

Chapter 48

Meredith shouted for a long time, and only sat back when her voice was a little hoarse.

Because of the cold, she was now speaking with a trembling voice, and she did not eat breakfast in the

morning, which made her feel more and more uncomfortable for she already suffered from

hypoglycemia.

Waves of dizziness assaulted her, and Meredith clutched her thighs to keep herself awake.

Would she just die here?

Meredith couldn't help but think about that possibility, and there were still resentment and anger in her

heart. However, who could help her?

Suddenly, Derek appeared in her mind, but she shook her head.

How could this man come to save her? Meredith thought of his orders today and felt a dull pain in her

chest.

Just as she was thinking about it, suddenly, there seemed to be some strange sounds coming from

outside the door.

...

Derek looked at the Masons villa with a dark face.

He thought that Meredith had run away or gone to fool around with Parker, but he had just found out

where she was. It was here.

It was really the Masons she had come to.

The man's look did not soften. Instead, it became gloomier.

...

After a while, the door opened, and when they saw him, the Masons people felt flattered. They

hurriedly invited him in, fearing that they might accidentally slight their distinguished guest.

"No need for this, I'm looking for Meredith." Derek didn't care about the rest of the Masons, and he

didn't want to waste time with them.

"Meredith... She's not here." Clara thought about it and lied without changing her face.

"That's right, Mr. Xavier. She is gone. There must be some mistake." Ava added.

Meredith had just said that she was going to beg Derek to destroy the Masons. Originally, they were

able to comfort herself that this was just a bluff. But now that Derek had come, they would not dare to

take it lightly.

What if, what if Derek was persuaded by Meredith and wanted to do something against the Masons?

Therefore, they must find a way to deal with Meredith quietly.

Derek took a look at the mother and daughter, expressionless.

In J City, Clara was known as a noble lady with a good temper and a gentle personality, and Ava was

also the goddess of gentleness and kindness in the eyes of everyone. But now, in his eyes, the way

they were lying was just pathetic.

"I have located her here, or are you saying I'm a liar?"

Derek ruthlessly exposed the lies of the two people. Ava and her daughter's expressions froze, and

then Wesley came over with a fawning smile on his face.

"The thing is, Meredith didn't know her place and made a scene here. So, I wanted to teach her a

lesson. I believe Mr. Xavier wouldn't want to get involved in our family affairs?"

Family affairs?

Derek had a disdainful look on his face. Meredith was married to him, and now she was one of the

Xaviers.

It was one thing for him to deny it to the outsiders, but there was no way that he would allow someone

else to teach a lesson to his family members.

"Really? In that case, you hand her over to me. I'll teach her a lesson for you and I promise to satisfy

Mr. Xavier."

For a moment, either side was willing to give in. The Masons and Derek were in a stalemate.

At this moment, Meredith's voice suddenly came from above. "Derek, is that you? I'm here. Take me

back. Please!"

There was a small window in the storage room where Meredith was. Just now, she noticed the sound

of parking and saw Derek's car parked outside the door. At the same time, she heard the voices of

several servants.

They said they had to find a way to get rid of her silently and once and for all, to avoid future trouble.

After hearing these words, Meredith could no longer remain calm.

She still wanted her revenge, and her mother was still waiting for her. She could not die here, so she

could only open the window, stretch out half of her body, and shout with all her strength.

Derek looked up and saw a thin figure hanging from a sadly small window. Meredith waved her arms

and shouted loudly. Her voice was hoarse, but she seemed not to feel uncomfortable at all for she tried

hard to get his attention.

"Is this how the Masons educate people?" Derek looked at Meredith's tottering body through the

window and even had the illusion that the woman would be blown down by a gust of wind.

Derek pushed the people in front of him away and walked straight to Meredith's room.

Meredith was locked up in the storage room in the corner. When Derek found her by the voice, he saw

several servants hiding by the side and even tried to stop him. Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org

"Piss off!" The rage in Derek's eyes was murderous. He looked at the locked door and said, "Open the

door."

"No, it can't be opened without the master's order."

Derek gave them an indifferent look, and the coldness in his eyes made people hard to look straight at

them.

"Meredith, get away from the window. I'll kick the door open and let you out."

After that, he raised his foot and kicked it hard at the locked door.

With a creak, the door was kicked open and a cloud of dust flew up. Meredith watched as the door

opened and Derek appeared in front of her. The string that had been tense in her heart seemed to

break at this moment.

This was the first time she felt that she was protected by someone since she left prison.

Even though the person may not be whom she expected, she still felt a warmth that had not been felt

for a long time.

Derek glanced at Meredith, who was sitting on the floor in a mess. He realized that her clothes were

soaked. He reached out and touched her body. It was too cold for the temperature of a normal person.

"Mr. Xavier, this..."

After being pushed away, the Masons were stunned for a while before they found out that Derek had

found Meredith, and their faces changed violently.

It was one thing to do what you wanted in your own house, but getting it known by outsiders is not a

good thing. People might whisper that they abused their own daughter.

"This is actually a misunderstanding. It's because she contradicted her parents the moment she came

back. That's why we..."

Clara was interrupted for she was frightened by Derek's eyes and did not dare to finish what she

started. There was no emotion in the man's eyes, but it gave her an invisible sense of oppression.

Derek took off his suit jacket and wrapped it around Meredith's body. "the Masons that everyone in J

City praises actually locked their daughter in a storage room with wet clothes in the middle of winter. If I

hadn't come, did you plan to freeze her to death?"

Looking at Meredith's purple lips, Derek couldn't help but think that the Masons was whether as perfect

as they appeared.

Meredith, was she really the evil woman who deserved it?

This was the first time he could not help but doubt what he had once believed.

Disdaining to pay any more attention to these hypocrites, Derek picked up Meredith, who was sitting on

the ground trembling, and the lightness made him frown.

The woman in her arms was as thin as if a piece of paper, and he wondered if she had been eating well

lately.

"Mr. Xavier, this is all a misunderstanding. We can take care of her." Seeing that Derek was going to

take Meredith away, and in such a protective posture, Wesley was extremely anxious.

He had an ominous feeling that Meredith's words would come true.
