The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2461

Frank could tell that the priestess and her fraternity were no villains, and so, he told them everything about the spiritron vein.noveldrama

And as expected, after hearing his story, the priestess did not think that he was lying-in fact, she felt sympathy for him. "Not treating humans as humans, even its host? It truly is evil! What a pity that my paltry skills can't destroy it!"

Still, Frank remained curious. "I've told you everything I know. Shouldn't you tell me the source of your power too?"

The priestess smiled. "I'm no angel, but I know a little courtesy. Come with me." With that, she stood up and started leading Frank up the mountain.

The geezers behind them scrambled to their feet and followed, reasoning, "Let's think about this please, Your Excellency. He's an outsider-we can't reveal our secret to him!"

The priestess simply laughed coolly. "Sure, then why don't you stop him? Let's see if you can."

The geezers were left speechless right then, not because they were afraid to die, but because it was pointless.

If anything, Frank's character was already proven as he could have easily wiped them out with his power.

There were dozens of people at the peak of Mount Statera. They were dressed in casual clothes, holding torches and encircling a small crater as they chanted some sort of mantra.

Seeing the priestess, they bowed their heads in salutation before leaving.

"I have a question, and please don't get offended if it's rude... but where do you stay?" Frank asked, puzzled.

The priestess pointed below are the people who were leaving. "They are all homestay owners, including myself! We just don't usually show ourselves."

Frank smiled and nodded and here he thought they all abstained and fasted. "Take a look!"

The priestess then led Frank toward the edge of the crater and pointed inside.

Frank looked into it and found a weak glimmer, radiating an energy that Frank did not recognize at all.

"We call it providence," the priestess explained. "This is the font of the power granted to us by the divine.t embodies endless power, and as long as one's mind is strong and is acknowledged by it, one would gain unexpected strength

"As the priestess, I'm slightly stronger than the others and can see things differently... specifically, I see a separate dimension composed of pure spiritrons!"

Frank nodded-with this, it was not surprising that the priestess could see that he carried the power of the spiritron vein.

At the same time, the priestess continued, "No offense to the ancients, but they didn't get it. It's how people used to think that the earth is flat after hearing hearsay after hearsay, before science studied how it worked.

"This energy is no exception. It's fortunate that I received an education, and through some friend's assistance, I gained a fraction of understanding regarding energy... And guess what, it doesn't even belong to earth!"

"It's not from earth?" Frank frowned.

The priestess nodded. "It's most likely a meteorite that altered our ancestors genetically. They then passed it down to us, making us different from the rest!

"There may be some extent of survival bias involved too. If the meteor was actually exposed to the air, every living organism would be dead within a mile— but by sheer coincidence, it crashed into Mount Statera instead.

"The surface of the mountain is completely dirt, and there are thick boulders underneath, effectively e blocking most of the radiation. The residual radiation may extend to a certain distance, but it's controllable, only altering genes without hurting the person."

"A meteorite, you say?"

Frank felt even more interested now, and he remembered what he saw on that cave mural about monsters appearing, after which the hero used the power of the spiritron vein to fight them.

Were they affected by the meteor, just like the priestess?
