Ken smiled. "It seems that we haven't been generous enough. Gentlemen?"

At his words, two bodyguards appeared at his side, and they had a brief exchange before leaving.

On the other hand, Ken gestured for someone to bring Frank and Jada chairs and snacks.

Frank and Jada sat down although they were unsure about his intentions, and in ten minutes, the two bodyguards returned with Uran... whom they beat up right in front of Jada and Frank!

Everyone was left dumbstruck, as Ken had always been a fence-sitter and never provoked anyone. What had suddenly gotten into him?

Moreover, that was Uran Wal! Never mess with a lion in its den, as they say—even if Ken was well-connected, he probably would not escape unscathed.

What was worse, Ken was doing this for Frank!

Still, it begged the question why-Frank was just a little famous around this town at best, so did Ken really have to go against the bigwigs of the city for him?

Either way, it was clear that Frank was more than what he seemed. The town's bigwigs were certainly rejoicing that they did not upset him before this, or they would really pay for it.

On the other hand, Ken did not care what any of them thought as he walked up to Uran and pinched one of his ears.

Then, he pulled, tearing it off entirely and leaving Uran screaming.

"Remember," Ken then growled at Uran, "Mr. Frankton here is an important guest to me. Mess with him again, and I'll kill you, or even your future father-in-law if he comes too!"

There was no helping it he had no bodyguards and was therefore at Ken's mercy.

However, there was no way he would always stay invincible, and Uran swore that the day would come when he got his payback and then some! Meanwhile, Ken returned to Frank and asked, "Is this to your satisfaction, Mr. Frankton?"

Jada answered on behalf of Frank. "Only if he's dead!"

"So be it." Ken smiled. "He's more valuable dead than alive. Take him away."

Seeing the bodyguards take Uran away, Jada chuckled coolly, "That's really insincere of you, Mr. Zacek!"

But that was fine. Soon, he would make her pay the price for misjudging him!

However, the more she underestimated him, the easier it would be for him to achieve his goal. This suited his cover just fine!

The auction began half an hour later, with Frank and Jada seated in the front row.

The rest of the bigwigs did not dare to sit on the same row, and the ones sitting right behind them were even trembling.

There was no helping it—Frank was rich and powerful, so they could not afford to challenge him and had to cater to his whims. They could bid for the stuff he has no interest in, but if he was interested, they would not even think of competing.

And amusingly, the painting Frank had his eyes on was the very first auctioned item.

Ken even took the emcee's mic and announced, "The bid starts at

hundred grand, and all subsive

bids must be fifty grand minimum. Any takers?"

"Fifty-five!" A bigwig promptly bid.

He had no idea why Frank was here, and that painting did not look all

impressive among the other

auctioned items. As such, the bigwig

was keen to try his luck.

"One million!" Jada did not hold back at all, promptly raising the bid to a price most would not be able to afford!
