Chapter 2115
Frank quickly helped the girl to his bed, but before he could ask why, he heard a rush of footsteps.
He turned and saw that several burly thugs had entered.
They were led by a blond guy, who pointed at the girl as she shuddered on the bed. "Hand her over, brat!"
Frank turned toward the girl named Irene, who quickly shook her head. "I-I don't know them! Please, you have to help me..."
She trailed off, clearly convinced that Frank did not stand a chance, what with his scrawny form.
She was kind—she did not want to be taken, but she did not want Frank to get hurt because of her either. Getting up on her own accord, she tearfully started to leave with the burly thugs...
"Wait!" Frank pulled Irene back toward himself and snapped coolly at the thugs, "Get out right now, and I just might spare you."
The blond guy and his thugs were surprised at first, but they soon laughed themselves silly. "Are you joking, kid? You're putting it as if we won't stand a chance against you!"
"That's a fact, isn't it?" Frank replied and did not waste his breath further.
Suddenly, he was in front of the blond guy, punching him to the floor.
The other thugs attacked Frank when they saw what happened, but he quickly dodged them and knocked them down too!
"Just you wait!" the blond guy snarled, but he was terrified even as he fled the scene.
On the other hand, Irene was left standing there, spacing out, shocked that the man before her was that strong despite his delicate appearance. "Thank you!" she exclaimed, bowing her head in gratitude.
"It's fine. Who are they anyway?"
"I don't know....." the girl sobbed. "I was just staying out late and bumped into them, and they insisted I get into their car. I ran here because I refused..."
Frank nodded and assured her, "Don't worry. They can't do anything to you while I'm around!"
"What's going on here?"
Sylvie rushed into the room when she heard the ruckus and was grinning ear-to-ear when she saw another girl inside Frank's room. "What are we up to now, handsome?"
Frank rolled his eyes at her in exasperation. "Stop it. It's not what you think."
"What? I never said anything," Sylvie retorted and took Irene's hands while asking her what happened.
After hearing frene's story, Sylvie
flashed a thumbs-up at Frank.
"Self-sacrifice? Well done! But I think
they're definitely doubling back.

Thugs despise being humiliated, and they'd definitely try to salvage some dignity.
"So, you can sleep in my room instead, while this handsome guy and I will stay here and wait for them to come!" "I-Isn't that dangerous?" Irene asked hesitantly.
"What's dangerous about it? I can't escort you out this late at night. This is the option that keeps everyone happy!"
Irene thought about it and eventually agreed to sleep in Sylvie's room.
Sylvie made sure that she was
settled in before heading to Frank's room, punching the air while

Frank smiled in wry amusement, nodding. "That depends entirely on you!"
"Stick with me," Sylvie said, clapping him on the shoulder like she was the boss, "and you'll have a good life!"
They chatted while waiting for the thugs to show up, but they never did.
Feeling a growing disappointment, Sylvie got up and asked, "Why don't you spar with me for now?"
Frank thought about it—he was idling anyway and so stood up, beckoning.
"Now you look more like a mentor!" Sylvie said and attacked without holding back.
