“So once a week you would pig out. Coach i don’t think this works for my diet. This is a weird tradition ” Scott said after his first plate.

I decided to introduce the team to a small tradition that I used to do with my team back in the day. We would finish training an hour early and go to some kind of Asian buffet to pig out. We only did it once a month and it was something everyone looked forward to.

“Just shut up and eat, you fool,” Bryony says not having a problem with eating all the juicy goodness.

” Don’t come at me when I’m over the desired weight, this is all on you,” Scott says before grabbing a fresh bowl of rice and digging in.

I knew he wouldn’t have a problem.

” Don’t bryony” I reluctantly put down my phone after checking it for the 10th time in the last 10 minutes. I was not only waiting for my said boyfriend to reply to my message but also I was supposed to be getting an email that was very important.

“don’t what, what’s going on” I asked staring at the girls.

“Theo’s on a date” excuse me.

Jen rolls her eyes “He’s not, he’s meeting an old friend”

“Are you delusional look at this then” Bryony shoves her phone into Jen’s face.

“I know about it she’s some journalist so she wanted an interview” I said shrugging my shoulders. I know its slightly weird talking about my relationship with m students but I kind of trust them.

“Must be best friends if he’s got a whole post on her Instagram” Mel said as she slid her phone over to me. I glanced down and rightly so there was a picture of Theo sitting casually across the table.

He wasn’t really looking at the camera it was more like she just took a candid of him and posted it.

” can I be there when you yell at Theo pleaaaaase” Scott sang out as I paid the bill.

” I’m not going to yell at Theo Scott” I said rolling my eyes. In my books Theo hasn’t done anything wrong.

I cant just go assuming things when I have no context and plus it doesn’t really look good if im being overly jealous it makes it seem like I have trust issues and that what we have isn’t as confident.

“why the fuck not” Scott groans hiking his bag over his shoulder. I thought that he was groaning from his annoyance with me but I saw him wince as he pushed the other strap to his shoulder.

That bag looks heavy, what is he even carrying in it.

“turn around” I commanded him with my fingers. He stared at me but reluctantly turned around so that he was facing the wall.

” wearing your bag like this is bad for your back you need it higher” I yanked at his straps and forced his back further up on his back.

He spun around with a scowl. ” not a chance, now I look like a virgin ” he was already moving the straps back to their normal position.

“you’ll stay a virgin if you constantly have back pains from your bag and not from swimming, girls don’t like guys if they’re complaining about bac pains all the time”

He was busy concentrating at the task at hand he missed what I said.

” hey, did you just call me a virgin!” He shouted. He said it loud enough that you could hear the other guys howling in the changing rooms.

” I am the last person you should be calling a virgin coach, I’ll have you” Scott was rudely erupted when Theo barged into my office. I spotted a few keen guys peeking in.

Theo grabbed Scotts neck and practically threw him out ” I really don’t appreciate you talking about your sex life with my girlfriend” I heard Theo say as scott was shoved out of the room.

I had to bite back a smile.

” I am fully aware of hw lucky I am scott, now run along before I force you to do 10 laps in the pool” Theo ground out his voice loud and clear even inside my office.

” hey, only coach can order me to do laps, you see we have a very unique relationship Theo it’s like a tradition with us ” oh blimey. Does scott have a filter.

A chorus of laughter had me itching to run out and see what was happening.

Finally after about 10 minutes Theo walked into my office. ” that boy is hard work” Theo said closing the door behind him.

I was just cleaning up the papers on my desk when I spotted him walking in and sitting down in one of the chairs.

” youre telling me” I said grinning at him. I was fully aware of scott’s childish behaviour but I think I prefer him this way. Last week he walked in all quiet and closed off I instantly knew I had to speak with him.

Turns out his mom left for another business trip, some boys just love their mom and I think scott struggles to this day to deal with not having his mom around like he used to. Scott’s mom is a lovely woman but shes been through a lot.

” there’s rumurs going around that you were on a hot date” I said not even sparing him a glance.

I felt his eyes on me.

” why, jealous” he replied.

I simply stared at him. Well that was an idiotic thing to say.

Theo sighed and walked over. He stood infront of me blocking me from returning to my desk.

” I’m sorry, it wasn’t a date I just met with her. If I would have known she wasn’t going to ask me questions and just steal pictures of me I wouldn’t have agreed” he lifted my chin forcing my eyes to his.

I can’t blame her for trying her shot, but she had her chance before did she have to go after a man whos not single.

” Cmon trainings over the boys are playing a match lets go watch” Theo said grabbing my hand.

I glanced at the unfinished work I had to complete before the next competition.

” I promised they boys we’d be there” he continued to say. He really wasn’t giving me a choice.

” fine but I have to come back early I have so much to do” I said reluctantly. I haven’t actually seen the football team play really so I guess it wouldn’t hurt to see.

Theo walked us to the stadium. The boys were out on the field getting ready to play against another team.

Jenny sat up straight her eyes never moving from Jackson who was talking to his team.

” nervous?” I asked her as I slid into the seat next to her, theo was facing the other direction talking to some guys.

” not really, he’s pretty confident about this one” she said trying to convince me but I could still see the fear behind her eyes.

I placed my hand on her shoulder. ” you can never really know until youre down there but the boys are in good shape I’d say were in a good shot.” You could say that I’m quite a soul sucker but I really do prefer to be honest.

” It doesn’t hurt to have a ittle bit of guilt” Theo said finally sitting down in his seat. He placed his arm around my waist and placed his jacket on our laps.

Jenny smiled, I aways thought she’d find it weird that me and her brother are dating but she actually has been really for it. It makes it easier for me that’s for sure.

The game had started, it wasn’t even 5 minutes when someone from our team was being helped by medics.

We all watched anxiously as the team played their game. It was obvious to me that our team had more of a strategy rather than just trying to score.

” hold back boys” I heard Theo mutter his legs shaking up and down.

” Id love to see that Jenny, if you want to compete im not going to stop you” I said to jenny as she spoke to me about our next meet. Theo was pretty much glued to the game but I still felt his presence, he would slowly trce the skin underneath my top.

” I don’t know if il ever compete with he other girls times though” I really ahted to see this. Theo finally was brought back to reality when he heard his sister speak.

” how will you know if you never try” he said.

It was true.

“I don’t normally say this, but I think it would be good for you to compete. Some people excel when under those circumstances. We will train hard this week and know if youre ready” I said smiling at her.

When we turned back to the game Theo pinched my side. I turned to him ready to hit him back but I quickly leaned in and kissed me on the lips. Before I could move back he whispered thank you.

” Get a room” I heard the annoyed sound of a person behind us.

We just laughed as we continued to watch the game.

It was a tense 90 minutes but we came out on top with a 2-1 win thanks to Jackson who managed to pull out a goal in the last 1o minutes.

Theo left to go speak with the boys as I made my way to the car. Theo wanted to watch the latest task master that was on telly so he had invited himself over to my house.

I drove home silently, I managed to grab my paperwork from the office, I would probably have to work through the evening.

By the time I had finished using the shower and got comfy in my living room theo was knocking on my door. I pulled it open and I definitely didn’t expect him to waltz in with a bag of food.

” How does a Japanese curry sound” he said over his shoulder when I was just standing there, staring. Did he have to wear such fitting tops when he cooks.

I could only nod.

I tried to concentrate on the wrk I had to do but at the same time I kept sneaking glances over to the kitchen, Theo stood tall in my kitchen busy with cooking our dinner.

His tattoo was very visible today. My hand instantly flew to mine.

I hadn’t noticed but Theo had left the kitchen and walked over to me. I didn’t have time to rest my arm when I felt his lips come down and press against my neck.

” Theo slowly pushed down the straps of my tshirt and kissed all over my shoulders.

He would occasionally lick my tattoo before going back to my neck and sucking on the skin there.

” what about the curry” I said when I felt his hands sliding underneath my top. I was really glad I moisterised before this.
