The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella)

Chapter 1542

Mirabella felt a twinge of envy upon hearing the news.

It wasn't just a small profit they were talking about but a significant one.

James cleared his throat, "We're out of groceries; let's swing by the supermarket later."

Mirabella's voice lacked emotion: "Oh."

Soon, the car was parked in the supermarket lot.

As they got out, James handed Mirabella a mask.

"Quite prepared, aren't we?" Mirabella raised an eyebrow at him.

The black mask covered most of his face, leaving only his deep, frost-tinged eyes visible. Even without seeing his full face, he exuded a charming and noble aura.

With a soft click of her tongue, Mirabella efficiently put on her mask.

James took her hand, and like any ordinary couple, they walked into the supermarket.

After shopping, they returned to their apartment complex.

Once inside, James didn't ask for Mirabella's help but went straight to the kitchen.

Mirabella stood at the doorway with her arms crossed, watching someone move around the kitchen with the ease of a professional chef. It was quite the sight.

After a while, her phone buzzed in her pocket. She took it out, glanced at it, then turned and walked into the living room.

Sitting on the couch, she first checked an email from "J" with an attachment, paused for a second, then slowly started to type a reply: "Whose brilliant mind came up with this idea? It's absolutely genius!"noveldrama

J, on receiving the message, couldn't help but smirk and replied: "Not sure about the genius part, but the content is indeed valuable."

Mirabella leaned back lazily on the couch, her expression a mix of confidence and boldness, "See? What are you waiting for then? Hurry up and collaborate with this genius."

Given Zane's somewhat anxious look today, she, as a student, felt compelled to give them a push.

"Actually, that's what I wanted to discuss. I'll be in Riverdale for a trip in a couple of days; how about we meet?"

J had been eager to meet the person who only seemed to want to act as a mentor.

Mirabella changed her sitting

position, pondering that negotiations

with acquaintances might

complicate matters, and typed: "Dad's not in the country right now."

J: "Didn't dad say he was still studying? How come he's abroad now?"

Mirabella, unfazed, replied: "Ah, I see the son never went to college. Ever heard of academic exchanges?"

J laughed, not bothering to challenge her excuse: "Alright, we'll talk some other time."

Mirabella: "Sounds good, I wish you a successful collaboration!"

J, looking at the messages, couldn't shake the feeling that she seemed

particularly interested in the partnership.

Contemplating this, he didn't reply but instead called the local office manager to arrange a meeting as soon as possible.

When Hank received the call, he was

still at the tech institute and hadn't left. Listening to the details of the meeting time suggested by the person from DO Group, he was in high spirits.

"...Alright, see you at the tech institute at 10 a.m. the day after tomorrow. We'll be waiting for you."

Hank waited for the person on the other end to hang up first before he ended the call, his gaze returning to his computer, a slight smile on his lips.

He had thought it would take longer to get a firm response, but it seemed they

had made a quick decision after reviewing the documentation Calvin had sent him.

Hank clicked his tongue lightly, impressed. It appeared the students from Prestige College were quite capable indeed.
