Mirabella chose to remain silent, opting to quietly sit and read her book instead.

She was afraid that speaking up might only make things worse for herself.

Not long after, Dr. Elliot returned from his meeting and invited Mirabella to his office for a chat.

"Dr... Elliot, did you need to see me for something?" Mirabella asked, her gaze fixed on Elliot. His mournful puppy eyes instantly made her switch from calling him 'Professor' to 'Teacher', noticing a swift change to a more relaxed expression on his face after the adjustment.

Mirabella was speechless.

She began to doubt whether this Dr. Elliot was the same stern and aloof person others had described to her.

Clearing his throat, Elliot got straight to the point, "I've been struggling with a variable conversion method and can't seem to get it accurate. I'm not sure where the problem lies. You're really good with mathematical calculations; could you possibly take some time to analyze it for me?"

When Mirabella saw the worry shadowing Elliot's face as he mentioned this issue, she paused for a moment before responding, "I can certainly analyze it, but I'm not sure how much help I'll be able to provide."

Elliot raised an eyebrow at her response, "Robert mentioned that you didn't find the physics problem set he gave you last year too challenging. So, this variable conversion method should ideally not be a problem for you."noveldrama

Mirabella's lips twitched in a grimace.

She realized she really needed to stop boasting about her abilities.

Karma was indeed swift.

Seeing that Elliot was eager to get started, he glanced at his watch and suggested, "Why put off till tomorrow what we can do today? How about we go check it out now?"

Mirabella silently gave Dr. Elliot a look before inwardly sighing. Considering she had no classes that day, she nodded in agreement.

Soon after, Elliot led Mirabella to the science building.

On their way, they encountered other students from their department, most of whom were curious about who Mirabella was, given she was seen walking beside Dr. Elliot.

Upon reaching the fourth floor, Elliot briefly introduced Mirabella to the layout of the laboratories,

expressing a tinge of regret that he hadn't recruited this bright young lady into the physics department from the start.

When they entered the lab, two other people were already there.

One of them was Blaze, and the other had the look of a typical nerd.

Upon seeing his teacher enter, Blaze quickly stood up from his computer, "Dr.

Elliot, you're here... Oh, and you too, little junior sister."

He had just noticed Mirabella following behind Elliot.

Mirabella nodded at Blaze, "Hello, senior brother."

Blaze smiled and then pointed to the nerdy-looking guy beside him, introducing, "This is Patrick."

Dr. Elliot's three students were Blaze, Patrick, and another named Yasaki.

Upon hearing Patrick's name, Mirabella politely nodded at him, her expression sweet, "Hello, senior brother Patrick."

It was Patrick's first time meeting Mirabella, and he was slightly taken aback, seemingly not expecting the new junior sister to be so attractive. Regaining his composure, he nodded back at her.

Seemingly unsure of what to say and feeling a bit awkward, he stood there quietly.

Turning on the computer, he launched the algorithm simulator, "Take a look." Mirabella hummed in acknowledgment and approached the computer.
