The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella)

Chapter 1531

Mirabella raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. She realized she had never truly known how well he did academically, aware only of his reputation for

underachievement throughout his childhood. It was a surprise to her that he could ace the senior year exam questions.

But upon further reflection, she conceded that the young man wasn't as dim- witted as she had once thought, finding a small sense of relief in his unexpected competence.

In the end, Mirabella decided to accompany him to Riverdale Parkside High School.

The interview went smoothly, without any surprises. After deliberation by the faculty, Cassie was directly placed into the junior year honors program.

Despite his ease with the senior year exam materials, considering there were only a little over a hundred days left until the final exams, it was decided that junior year would be more suitable for his current situation.

As they left, the interviewing teacher almost seemed to beam with joy as he personally saw Mirabella and her company out of the school, looking at Cassie as if he had discovered a treasure.

Before parting, he even made a point of getting Mirabella's phone number, as if worried she might change her mind about enrolling Cassie at Parkside High School.

"The school stuff is all sorted then, I'll be heading back," Zane said, checking his watch, before speaking to Mirabella.

Mirabella nodded, offering her thanks. Considering the favor needed to be repaid, she added, "If you ever run into any trouble, you can come to me."

Zane, mistaking her for being privy to some inside information, fell silent for a moment before replying, "Don't worry, if there's any trouble, I'll make sure it's taken care of."

Mirabella cast Zane a glance, noticing the worry in his eyes, and couldn't help but ask, "Is there something wrong at the school?"

Caught off guard, Zane chuckled and shook his head, "No, what I meant was, I can handle it myself. I wouldn't want my students to worry."

Still sensing something off about Zane but before she could inquire further, he waved goodbye and headed to his car, "Alright, I'll be off then."

Mirabella watched his retreating figure thoughtfully before turning to join Cassie in the car.

They hadn't driven far from the school when her phone rang.noveldrama

Glancing sideways, Mirabella picked up the phone and answered the call.

"Are you at home or did you go to school?" came James's cool, clear voice over the line.

"Just left the school," Mirabella replied nonchalantly, her fingers idly tapping on the steering wheel.

"How about we grab dinner together?" James suggested as he ascended the stairs from the basement.

Checking the time, which showed it was just past four in the afternoon, Mirabella agreed, "Sure, pick a place."

James provided an address, "See you in half an hour."

With a hum of acknowledgment,

Mirabella ended the call, glanced at Cassie who was completely

absorbed in his game in the

passenger seat, shook her head, but chose not to interrupt him.

Soon, they arrived at the address given by James.

A swanky club.

After parking the car, the gaming enthusiast beside her finally looked up, glanced outside, then turned to Mirabella, "Sis, what's the plan here?"

"Dinner," Mirabella replied, unbuckling her seatbelt and stepping out of the car.

Cassie hurriedly stowed his phone away and followed her into the club's grand lobby, his eyes roving curiously around.

Ignoring Cassie's country bumpkin demeanor, Mirabella gave the staff a private room name, and they were promptly escorted to a VIP room on the second floor.

Once the staff member had left, Cassie flopped down onto the plush

sofa in the lounge area, rolling around comfortably, "The big city really is something else!"

Indeed, dining here was an experience in itself.
