Were they seriously about to push the Tanqueria straight into the abyss?

Jane and Anthony instantly braced themselves for a battle to the death.

“To take them on, use these–way more brutal!” Robin tapped Jane’s head lightly and gestured toward a stash of weapons and ammo left behind by the armor–piercing sniper unit.

“Bringing down choppers with this gear? Now that would be badass.”

Jane grabbed a launcher and, following Robin’s lead, was just about to fire at the lead helicopter.

Zayden and Trix rushed over and saluted with crisp precision. “Master Ramsey!”

Behind them stood Neal Ford, and next to him, Thomas Morrison–the ambassador assigned to handle the Drakebane incident.

Thomas‘ expression was dark, his disapproval of Zayden and Trix’s behavior written plainly across his face.

Robin gave a casual wave of his hand, his tone flat. “I’m no longer Master Ramsey–just a drifter from the martial world. The two of you should. stick to protocol and mind your titles.”

Zayden and Trix noticed the look on Thomas‘ face and instantly realized they’d overstepped–excitement had clouded their sense of diplomatic decorum.

Even so, they leaned in and whispered urgently, “Mr. Ramsey, the one leading this group is Gustov Binnion–the top grandmaster of the Tanqueria Special Forces. Please be careful, Sir!”

Gustov was the original architect behind the creation of the special super soldiers.

These super soldiers developed by the Security Bureau were all created based on his designs and combat philosophies.

“Robin, the former Palace Ruler, the descendant of the Dragon Manor!” Draconia’s ambassador to Tanqueria, Thomas, said coldly.

Before Thomas could finish, Robin let out a cold laugh “Apologize? That word has never existed in my vocabulary.”

“You–Robin, why must you be so obstinate?” Thomas snapped, barely restraining his fury. “Everything we’re doing is for your own good!”

“Who the hell do you think you are?” Robin wiped his hands clean and casually tossed the used wet wipe over his shoulder. “For my own good? Save that crap for gullible idiots it won’t fly with me. Now get lost.”

“You’re a disgrace!” Thomas snapped, pointing a trembling finger at Robin, his teeth clenched in fury. ·

“Say that again if you’ve got the guts.” Robin took a step forward, his voice low and dangerous. “If your skin wasn’t so thick, you’d already be flying through the air from one slap.”

The pressure from Robin’s presence hit Thomas like a wall. His bravado crumbled in an instant as he instinctively stumbled backward.
