Arya raised a brow at Vanessa’s outburst, she rolled up her sleeves and walked around the table to Ray..

She helped him wipe off the smudges from the corner of his lips..

“Is anything the problem miss Vanessa?”

“Why are you putting on Kyle’s shirt?!” Vanessa questioned irritably..

Kyle dropped his cutlery, he suddenly lost his appetite..

Vanessa’s lips parted in disbelief, she snapped her gaze back to Kyle..

“What is this Kyle? you know how much that shirt costs and how far I went to get it for you”

“No one asked you to get it” Ray imputed and stuck out his tongue to Vanessa..

Arya stroked his hair gently “Ray the grownups are talking don’t interrupt anymore” She whispered gently which he nodded to..

“Daddy I’m ready to go”

Kyle nodded and stood up to his feet, he didn’t spare Vanessa a look..

Vanessa’s lips curved upward, Kyle made her look like a fool in front of Arya by not saying a word..

“You’ve changed a lot Kyle, this wasn’t what you promised Charlotte, didn’t you promise her that you won’t make any advances towards another woman?!”

Kyle’s body stiffened, his knuckles cracked as it turned into a tight fist..

Everyone in the room could feel the deadly aura he was emitting at the moment..

Meanwhile Arya fell into a deep thought, who was Charlotte?

Kyle snapped his head sharply at Vanessa, if looks could kill Vanessa would have been long dead..

“What did you just say?!”

Arya chuckled, “And who told you that I’m sad? Go on your dad is waiting outside for you.. and oh there’s a surprise inside your lunchbox”

Ray smiled and waved at her before he sprinted out of the room..

The moment he left, the smile on her face vanished completely..

“Cole must be waiting for me”

Arya walked into her restaurant, she looked around for Cole until she spotted him sitting beside the window..

He waved at her, Arya smiled at him and hurried to where he was.. they engulfed in a deep embrace for a minute before they pulled apart..

Cole guided her to sit on the chair opposite him, he took his own seat and held her hands resting on the table..

“Are you okay?”

Arya nodded holding the tears that was threatening to burst out..

Cole tried to read her expression if she was pretending or not..

“I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you from him Arya.. I’m such an unfortunate and useless fiance”

Arya squeezed his hands a bit “No you’re not, some things are just above our power and reach”

Cole sighed and closed his eyes for a brief second..

“Because of him, my company is at the verge of falling apart.. It’s almost bankrupt.. I just don’t know who to run up to for help”

Arya’s nostrils flared up in anger, she agreed to marry him, why did he mess with Cole’s company?!

The corner of his lips pulled up into a sly smirk, he knew how soft hearted she was, she couldn’t bear to see him worried at all..

“If only I could get ten million dollars, I’ll be able to take things up from there.. but no one wants to take the risk of lending me such a huge amount”

Arya sighed, her fiance’s company was about to go bankrupt and there was nothing she could do about it..

“I’m so sorry Cole”

Cole stared at her with the corner of his eyes, what does she mean by sorry? doesn’t she have more than that?

Arya’s eyes darted around the restaurant, she could see her other employees moving about but Chloe was nowhere to be seen..

“I’ll be back Cole.. I haven’t seen or heard from Chloe for a day or two”

He nodded to her and watched her leave, that explains why Arya hasn’t figured out about him and Vivian yet.

In a hospital ward, a frail lady was asleep while a young man was reading a magazine..

Her eyes fluttered open before she gasped out loudly and sat up..

The young man arched a brow “Okay that was creepy..” He said and dropped the magazine on the table before him..

“Hello miss” he waved his hand over her face but got no reaction from her..

He retracted his hand and pushed the small button beside her bed..

In less than a minute the door pushed open and a man cladded in a white neat lab coat came in..

“Check on her, she has been sitting that way for a minute or two without blinking” He commented nonchalantly and continued reading his magazine..

The doctor slapped the magazine off the young man’s hands..

“You fool! she is in total shock because of you and you are still acting like an as*h*le Brian!”

Brian shrugged his shoulders “I didn’t ask her to run in front of a moving car”

The doctor sighed while he examined her, he touched her forehead and was startled when she bit his hand..

He cried out and retracted his hand, Brian rose to his feet suddenly and backed away a bit from both Chad his friend, and the insane lady..

“I think I picked up an insane lady” Brian murmured..

The lady panted slightly, her eyes darted around the ward till it settled on Brian..

“Who are you?” She questioned..
