The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet

Chapter 2073

She knew she had to let go of Lysander to truly start living her own life.

Snapping back to reality, Rosalind glanced at the sweet and sour fish that had mysteriously appeared in her bowl, feeling a wave of emotions threatening to break through her resolve. She bit her lip hard, fighting back tears, refusing to let them fall in front of Lysander and Thalassa. Showing weakness now would mean losing her last shred of dignity.

With a forced smile, she turned to Joshua, picking up another dish closest to her and placing it in Joshua's bowl. Her eyes shimmered with unshed tears as she pretended to be strong, "Here you go, Dad. Make sure you eat too."

After serving Joshua, she picked up a piece of the sweet and sour fish, chewing it with difficulty but pretending it was effortless.

Joshua saw the tears pooling in Rosalind's eyes, watching as she swallowed all her sorrow and bitterness, acting as if nothing was wrong.

His heart ached for her, but like Rosalind, he pretended everything was normal.

He smiled across at Lysander and Thalassa, saying, "As the elder here, I want to congratulate you two on tying the knot. I know the journey here wasn't easy. Now that you've made it, it's truly an accomplishment. Here's to a lifetime of holding hands and growing old together."

As he spoke, Joshua poured wine into Lysander and Thalassa's glasses and raised his own in a toast.

Thalassa and Lysander exchanged glances before lifting their glasses towards Joshua, acknowledging his toast.

Lysander followed suit, his actions heavily influenced by Thalassa's acceptance of Joshua's gesture. If Thalassa had shown any reluctance to forgive Joshua's partiality, Lysander wouldn't have bothered to hide his disdain.

Seeing both Lysander and Thalassa raising their glasses, a genuine smile spread across Joshua's face.

As he was about to drink, Rosalind stood up, raising her glass towards Lysander and Thalassa, "Here's to a hundred years of happiness and love, just like the very beginning."

Without waiting for a response, she emptied her glass in one gulp.

She had poured the wine for herself while Joshua was making his toast, intending to offer her own blessing to Lysander and Thalassa.

After witnessing Lysander's coldness towards her and his warmth towards Thalassa, Rosalind's heart had finally given up.

Seeing how Lysander loved

Thalassa made it clear to her that he

had no love left for Rosalind.

Continuing to cling to him was futile, even ridiculous.

Stepping back was clearly the best choice.

Thalassa and Lysander hadn't expected Rosalind to suddenly make a toast They were still holding their glasses from Joshua's toast, not yet having taken a sip, when Rosalind added her own blessings.

Now, a single drink carried the weight of two blessings.

Having accepted the first, they felt compelled to honor the second.

Thalassa, noticing Rosalind's swift action and how she downed her drink in one go, felt pressured to drink so as not to appear petty.

After Rosalind finished her drink, Thalassa brought the glass to her lips and took a sip.

Lysander followed, finishing his drink as well.

Joshua, who had been watching

both of them drink the toastet

them closely, was relieved to

blessing. He followed Rosalind's

lead and finished his drink in one go. ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

A full glass of wine symbolized his full-hearted blessing for Lysander and Thalassa.

With Lysander and Thalassa's union officially recognized, and Rosalind finding her peace, things were finally looking up.
