The Billionaire’s Pretend Fiancée

His absurd proposal

Sofie’s POV

I woke up with a throbbing headache that made the blood vessels at either side of my head bang like they were about to tear out of my skin.

The sun rays seeping through the window blinds also didn’t help matters at all, and it combined to give me an even worse headache.

Groaning, I squeezed my eyes shut and gently massaged my temples to placate my tensed nerves.

When I fluttered my eyes open again, I realized I wasn’t in my bedroom, and I jumped up with a start.

The sight that met my eyes made me scream and I almost tumbled down from the bed.

A dangerously handsome man dressed in an expensive grey three-piece suit was sitting cross-legged on a chair next to the window with his arms folded crossed around his chest.

Frightened, I glanced down at myself, and realized I was naked beneath the blanket covering me.

I screamed again,”What happened?”

He didn’t seem fazed by my scream. Instead, he looked bored.

“You’ve finally woken up. I was starting to think something else might have happened to you.” The man’s husky voice drifted into my ears as he observed me.

“Who are you?” I asked, caressing my forehead to alleviate the ache.

He threw me a puzzled glance, “What do you mean by that? You don’t know who I am? Don’t tell me the alcohol messed up your head that much.”

I glared at him, and made to utter a nasty retort to him when the memories from last night floated into my mind.

He had saved me from a pervert, and I had kissed him!

Fuck. What the hell?

The vulgar images of me screaming the man’s name as he fucked me, and me giving him a sloppy blow job before he fucked me again flashed through my mind’s eye, and my jaw slacked in shock.

I gasped, horrified as I lifted the blanket again to assess my nakedness.

“It seems you’ve finally remembered who I am, haven’t you?” The man-Roman scoffed.

I had finally remembered his name.

Meekly, I nodded, and dropped my gaze to my hands.

A great wave of shame washed through me as the memories continued pouring into my mind.

I frowned when I noticed something.

Roman was dressed in a suit.

Wait, was he not casually dressed yesterday?

I wasn’t hallucinating because I could remember that I had unbuttoned his slacks yesterday.

Right?

Something felt odd and unsettling.

How did he manage to look well rested, and collected while I probably looked like someone who had just gotten run over by a tide.

Well, figuratively, I had gotten my back blown out by Roman, so I might as well say I was run over by him.

“Are you listening to me?” Roman gruffed, and I snapped back to reality.

My cheeks flushed as my gaze dropped to his strong hands.

Those hands had caressed my waist as he slowly fucked me into the bed.

“You are spacing out again,” He huffed, and I quickly got a grip on myself and shrugged the wanton memories off my mind and gazed up at the man.

I took that opportunity to fully observe Roman.

I had only gotten a drunken view of him yesterday.

The man was hot as hell and he knew it, because he carried himself with a charismatic aura that made you weak in the knees and yearn to please him.

I suddenly had the urge to do that but I controlled myself.

His onyx hair was neatly slicked back to accentuate the sexy undercut underneath. His jawline was perfectly chiseled and it looked like it could cut into anything, his pointed nose seemed like it was majestically carved to fit perfectly onto his face.

To sum it all up, he looked like he was made by Adonis and Aphrodite.

He was that perfect.

His grey eyes looked like they lacked warmth but that only made him hotter to me.

It seemed as if I had met a different Roman yesterday because the Roman I was currently gazing at looked different in an inexplicable manner.

I pulled myself out of my daydream, and fixed my gaze on his face, ignoring the temptation that was his sinful pink lips which were now drawn into a firm line.

“W-Were you talking to me?” I asked, to which he scoffed and poked his inner cheek with his tongue.

It was the hottest thing I had ever seen.

I never knew a day would come that I would shamelessly simp over a man but I didn’t mind it because Roman was hot, and he made me think and dream of things.

Obscene and lascivious things that I couldn’t say out loud.

“Who else could I be talking to? Is there anyone else in the room with us?” He deadpanned and I nodded sheepishly.

“Right. I’m sorry.”

“That’s settled. Anyway, I have something for you. It’s a job and no, it’s not a formal job or anything. But, I can assure you that you will get paid massively if you agree to do it.” Roman started, and I frowned, perplexed.

“What sort of a job is that?”

Roman nodded toward the nightstand and my gaze followed his to a brown envelope which was sealed, “It’s in there. You can read it to get a clearer description and understanding of the job.”

I nodded and tentatively picked it. I looked up from the envelope to Roman whose face remained devoid of any emotion before I cleared my throat, and retrieved the paperwork inside the envelope.

My heart pounded as I felt the weight of the paperwork in my hold.

“Go on. Read through it.” Roman said.

I gulped before obliging his command, and my eyes doubled in a mixture of confusion and surprise.Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

Roman wanted me to pretend to be his fiancée for a hundred days.

That was random.

“So, what do you think? Are you willing to accept my proposal? I can give you some days to think about it if you like, but it’s an urgent matter that needs to be resolved by next week.” Roman explained and I averted my concentration from the paperwork to him.

“I don’t understand. What do you need a fiancée for? Can you enlighten me further?”

He heaved a deep sigh, “My grandma wants me to get married soon and I’m not interested in relationships like that.”

“You could have just told her that. Wouldn’t she be pissed off when she finds out about this?” I motioned to the paperwork.

“She won’t listen to me. She is desperate for a great grandchild which I’m not willing to give her either now or in the future.” Roman said, darting a blank stare at me.

When I didn’t say anything, he continued, “We will break up in three months if you accept the offer. I will make up some sort of story about how we tried everything to make it work but we couldn’t last with each other and she will forget all about it. So, are you willing to take the offer?”

I nibbled on my lower lip as various thoughts assailed my mind ranging from my forced engagement to Alexander Guilon and my greedy parents.

If I accepted Roman’s absurd proposal, he would surely pay me nicely, and I could even use the money to get the apartment I’ve always wanted, and also go back to college.

I dropped out of college two years ago in my third year after my parents squandered my tuition fees on gambling.

This was my way out of the wretched life my parents wanted to immerse me into.

Inhaling deeply, I nodded as I gazed into his sexy grey eyes, “Yes. I will be your fake fiancée, Roman.”

He smirked, “Perfect. I knew you wouldn’t disappoint me, doll.”
