Chapter 195 A Big Gift
Alexander finally cracked a smile and turned to the manager, Noe Kate, who was hanging out by the door. "Bring out what we've got ready for Mrs. Carter."
Mrs. Carter? Allison blinked, a bit thrown off. She looked up at Alexander, feeling a little old with that title, and frowned slightly.
"What, you don't like it?" Alexander's voice had a dangerous edge, and Allison quickly straightened up.
"No, of course not. It's just..." She trailed off, thinking it made her feel ancient.
Seeing her expression, Alexander tightened his grip around her waist, making Allison feel like her waist might snap.
"Alexander, Mr. Carter, I'm sorry!" Allison blurted out.
Her quick apology made Alexander laugh, and he kissed her forehead.
The staff around them watched with envy.
"Mr. Carter and the future Mrs. Carter are so sweet!"
"Yeah, who would've thought Mr. Carter could be so adorable when he's affectionate?"
"They're such a perfect couple!"
While the staff admired them, a pair of malicious eyes watched from the staircase.
Allison felt a chill run down her spine and turned to look, but saw nothing. She frowned.
"What's wrong?" Alexander asked.
"I felt like someone was watching me," Allison replied.
Alexander's
gaze turned icy as he looked around, then he tightened his hold on her
and led her inside the store.
Inside, the staff brought out the prepared dresses for Allison to choose from. She looked around but didn't find anything she liked.
"What's the matter?" Alexander asked, finding her indecision adorable.
"These are too mature for me. I can't wear them," Allison said, frowning.
Mature? The fabrics and colors were fine, but the styles were indeed too mature for Allison.
Noe, standing nearby, broke into a sweat, fearing that he would be fired if Allison wasn't satisfied.
"Mr. Carter, we have dozens of dresses prepared. Maybe we can take our time looking through them?" Noe suggested nervously.
With a nod from Alexander, Noe quickly ordered the staff to bring out all the dresses.
Allison finally chose a white dress that wasn't too revealing. It was elegant yet playful with its pleated skirt, and Alexander was very pleased.
"From now on, all of Mrs. Carter's clothes should follow this style. Update her wardrobe monthly," Alexander instructed.
Noe quickly nodded, relieved.
With the dress chosen, Alexander brought out several sets of jewelry for Allison to pick from. She was taken aback by the size of the colorful gemstones.

"Did you forget what Liliana does? These are all wedding gifts for you. They're yours, and I'll have them locked in your safe. Wear whatever you like without feeling pressured," Alexander said calmly.
Allison glanced around the ninth-floor store and asked, "Is this place also Liliana's?"
Alexander nodded. "Yep. This whole floor is hers. Only folks with close ties to the Carter family get to shop here."
In the world of high-end custom luxury brands, keeping an air of mystery was key. Allison had seen the items in the store; they were all top-notch, both in craftsmanship and materials.
Allison hugged Alexander's arm. "Can I give Liliana a big gift?"
Alexander raised an eyebrow, sensing some mischief in her eyes. "A big gift?"
Allison nodded, pulling out her phone to show him a folder. "I found these sketches while sorting through my grandmother's stuff. They're inspired by vintage fashion from the last century. Think Liliana would like them?"
Alexander was stunned. "Noe, get the designer here!"
Noe quickly fetched the designer, a guy whose rugged appearance totally clashed with the delicate nature of his work. Allison was puzzled.
Seeing her confusion, Alexander laughed and put an arm around her shoulders. "Don't be fooled by his looks. He's got a soft heart."
The designer, Ramon Smith, was surprised to see Alexander so naturally affectionate with a woman.
"What do you need? Make it quick!" Ramon said impatiently.noveldrama
Alexander handed him Allison's phone.
Ramon's eyes widened as he looked at the sketches. "Who created these masterpieces? Alexander, who's the designer? I want them in my studio immediately!"
Ramon's excitement made him seem almost predatory.
Allison whispered to Alexander, "I hope he's not here to eat me for dinner!"
Alexander sighed and pushed Ramon back. "Keep your distance. Allison designed these. If you want to discuss them, let's go to your office."
Ramon took a moment to process this. "So, this is your girlfriend? She drew these? I can hardly believe it."
But since Alexander said so, Ramon led them to his studio.
As soon as they entered, Allison was amazed. She had expected a simple drawing room, but this place was not only a design studio; it also had a fitting room and a full- scale workshop where everything was handmade on the spot. It was incredible.
"No wonder you need an entire floor. This is amazing!" Allison marveled. Ramon, arms crossed, wasn't surprised by her reaction. "I don't like beating around the bush. As long as someone appreciates my designs, I can start creating clothes for them right away it's much more efficient! However, I have a bit of a temper, so whether someone gets to wear my designs really depends on my mood."
Alexander led Allison through the studio, showing her the range of work from clothing to accessories and jewelry.
"So, Ramon is primarily a jewelry designer? The clothes are just accessories for the jewelry," Allison concluded.
Ramon was impressed by her insight. "Not bad, Allison. You've got a good eye."
Alexander took Allison to Ramon's design office, where she uploaded her sketches to the computer and displayed them on a large screen. "I have some original drawings as well. They're from ten years ago, so I might need to find them. Can I use a computer?"
