Chapter 2102 Call Melissa Mom
Chapter 2102 Call Melissa Mom
Sheryl was so caught up in her memories that it completely slipped her mind, not to mention Charles.
"One day, I fell beside the river. My pants were so soaked. I was so ashamed that I started crying, then
Charles took his coat off and covered my pants. That day, I went home with his coat. You don't know
how..."
As Sheryl spoke, she glanced at Damian. She didn't realize that she was telling him a story about
Charles.
Her voice then trailed off. She finally realized her mistake. Did she really mention Charles?
Really?
She wasn't even sure, so she just stopped.
Damian felt a little upset. He had heard Sheryl's story, and she was suddenly looking so upset. He'd
thought Sheryl had already moved on and that mentioning Charles wouldn't affect her anymore.
However, that didn't seem to be the case. She obviously still had feelings for Charles.
This was how he realized that Sheryl wasn't ever going to forget about Charles. She wasn't going to
give up on him. She loved Charles and only Charles.
"You must have been made fun of!" Damian continued, hoping to break the awkward silence.
When Sheryl spoke, her voice wasn't as cheerful anymore. "Yeah, they made fun of me then."
"What happened then?" Damian urged.
"What happened then? Well, nothing."
"Oh, okay, they just laughed at you. I thought something else was going to happen," Damian said with
a playful smile.
Sheryl finally raised her head. It seemed that her story wasn't as interesting as she had thought it was.
"I have a story that's more interesting than yours. I bet you're going to laugh when you hear it," Damian
added.
Sheryl didn't say anything. She just looked at Damian quietly.
"When I was five years old, I was playing in an amusement park, and I needed to go to the bathroom.
But I didn't want to, so I just peed in a bottle," Damian said.
Sheryl then asked from curiosity, "What happened then?"
"My parents didn't notice, so I was very proud. I went back to play when I suddenly felt thirsty. I saw my
mom holding a bottle, so I drank from it. I didn't realize that it was the same bottle I had peed in!" By
now, Damian couldn't stop laughing.
Sheryl was so surprised that her mouth dropped open. "Are you saying...?"
Damian nodded with a smile. "Yeah, that's right. I drank my own pee."
"Oh, my God!" Sheryl couldn't stop laughing, so she had to cover her mouth. There were some parts of
her that thought she shouldn't be laughing, but she just couldn't help it.
"Don't worry. Just laugh! Everyone always laughs after I tell them!" Damian lowered his head, feigning
sadness.
Sheryl felt a little guilty. She said lightheartedly, "Fine! You were so young then! It isn't a big deal!"
"Do you really think so?" Damian asked.
Sheryl nodded and asked, "Well, why didn't you tell your parents that you wanted to go to the
bathroom?"
'If you had told them, you wouldn't have peed in a bottle, and you wouldn't have drunk it!' The more
Sheryl thought about it, the more she felt like laughing.
Damian sighed. "That's because I wanted to play more. It would have taken time to find a toilet. The
amusement park was very busy and very big. I didn't want to miss anything."
"You really..." Sheryl stopped. She wanted to say that he deserved it then but stopped herself, afraid
that Damian would take it the wrong way. Either way, Sheryl was feeling much better now.
She glanced at Damian, thinking how good a friend he was to her. They were such good friends that
they could take walks together and exchange stories. They enjoyed themselves as they got along well.
Sheryl sighed in her mind. All of a sudden, her phone rang.
She took out her phone at once. It was Melissa calling.
"Hello, Mrs. Lu. Have you had dinner yet?" Sheryl asked politely.
However, when Melissa spoke, she sounded very worried. "Sher, I have bad news. You have to come
here."
"What's the matter?" Sheryl pressed anxiously. Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
"Shirley... Shirley's sick. You need to come here." Melissa was still so shaken up that she found herself
unable to tell Sheryl what had happened.
Sheryl immediately hung up the phone and started running as fast as she could.
Damian didn't know what had happened, so he just followed behind Sheryl.
"What's the matter? What's wrong? What happened to the kids?" Damian asked as he jogged to catch
up with Sheryl.
"Shirley's grandmother called me just now. She said that Shirley's sick. I couldn't hear clearly, but I
need to go there right now," Sheryl said, her tone urgent.
"I can drive you," Damian immediately offered.
"Thank you very much." Sheryl didn't refuse Damian this time because she was too worried about
Shirley. She just wanted to get there as soon as possible.
After they got into the car, Damian drove her to the Dream Garden cautiously. Sheryl wanted to urge
him to drive as fast as he could. But she also knew that they couldn't drive too fast. It would break the
traffic rules, and they could even cause an accident if they did that.
"Sher, what did Shirley's grandmother say on the phone?" Damian knew that Sheryl was very anxious,
so he wanted to make her feel better.
However, Sheryl was too busy worrying about Shirley, and she didn't hear Damian.
Damian understood how worried Sheryl must be, so he didn't press further. He thought he could help
Sheryl once they arrived at the Dream Garden.
He drove as fast as he could without breaking any rules. As soon as they arrived at the Dream Garden,
Sheryl immediately got out of the car.
Damian then hurriedly got out of the car too while Sheryl was already rushing to the door.
As soon as Sheryl entered the house, she heard her son talking.
"Grandmother, what happened to Shirley? Is she okay?"
"She just had a stomachache. Don't worry. Your father's taking her to the hospital. We can just wait
here." Melissa tried her best to comfort Clark.
Sheryl felt upset. Shirley had a stomachache?
What had happened this evening?
"Mom, what happened to Shirley?" Sheryl cried as she rushed into the living room.
Melissa was so surprised because Sheryl had called her 'mom.'
Did Sheryl just refer to her as 'mom?'
Really?
Sheryl didn't notice the look on Melissa's face. All she cared about was Shirley. She tried to look
around the room, looking for her daughter, but she couldn't find her anywhere. She hurriedly asked,
"Mom, what happened to Shirley?"
"Mom, Shirley had a stomachache, so Dad took her to the hospital," Clark said.
Sheryl grew even more worried. She pressed, "Which hospital? Why didn't you just tell me on the
phone?"
Melissa finally gathered herself and said apologetically, "I'm so sorry. I was so worried. Sher, what did
you call me just now?"
Sheryl then realized that she had referred to Melissa as 'mom, ' so she apologized, "Oh, I'm so sorry,
Mrs. Lu. I was so worried about Shirley, so I..."
