The Alpha’s Little Luna

Trapped

“Clarita, you really need to stop messing with mated wolves.”NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.

In front of me sits my girlfriend and next to me is Alpha Glary. The Alpha and I have a deal that he will witness when I confront my girlfriend about her behavior. He wants to make sure she’s ready to change her ways, before agreeing to drop any punishment. He cannot ignore what he has seen with his own eyes. But he’s willing to forget the whole affair if she shows any sign of regret.

But Clarita doesn’t want to hear any of that.

“What do you mean, Mercedes? Don’t feel too good having met your mate at an early age!” she bit at me. “Wait until I meet mine! He’s definitely an Alpha too and richer than yours,” she added viciously. “By the way, what are you doing with Alpha Glary here? Are you cheating on Zane?”

And that’s how she shows her true self. Even Alpha Glary is startled by her bitterness. Clarita’s burning eyes move accusingly from him to me.

“Wait for Zane to hear this. Then he takes back everything he gave you and you have nothing left. No expensive jewelry, no great car, nothing, bitch”, she raged on.

“Goodness, I’ve never seen so much jealousy in a minute,” Alpha Glary frowned. “You wish the worst for your girlfriend without first hearing what she has to say to you. Besides, I agree with Mercedes. Stop getting sexually involved with mated wolves,” he repeated disapprovingly. His attitude further fuelled Clarita’s anger.

“Why are you repeating what this bitch is explaining, Alpha? She thinks she’s more than us because she hooked up a rich Alpha. And you’re not her destined mate, but you two are still sitting here, enjoying yourselves privately.”

Alpha Glary seemed to have had enough of her attitude now. He gripped her wrist like a vice.

“Mercedes tried to spare your neck while I’m ready to lead you to the noose, you fool!” he yelled in her face. “You’re too stupid to listen first when you’re actually a walking dead. Mercedes has saved your ass so far, the same girlfriend you are now filthy jealous of.” He lets go of her arm and points an imperious finger at her face.

“My patience with you is at an end. One more mean word and I’m up here. And believe me, what happens next, neither you nor Mercedes will be able to prevent. Please, tempt me further, woman, and then see what comes next,” he challenged Clarita in Alpha tone, his eyes burning red as if he could shift any moment. I fear it’s over for my friend here.

“Listen Clarita. This isn’t about me,” I pointed out to her. “I do have a great mate, the Moon Goddess really has been good to me. Zane loves me incredibly, and I adore him. And I don’t have any romantic relationship with Alpha Glary here,” I emphasized. I wait some seconds before continuing, looking her straight in the eye.

“But you take stupid risks. Messing with Alpha Ahri is risky. The Luna almost got you guys in that bedroom. She was already at the door. How do you think it would all have turned out if she had caught you with her mate, the Alpha of our pack?” Alpha Glary let out a low growl as Clarita’s eyes almost popped out of its sockets.

But then unexpectedly, something changed in her, she took on an indifferent attitude.

“And if she had been there, then what? The party was open to everyone. The Luna was more than welcome to engage with young people while she could spend her time better”.

Alpha Glary’s sharp claws shoot forward, I’m barely able to push Clarita away, making him miss her face. She falls to the floor with a thud, her eyes wide with fear now.

“Alpha, I’m sorry. Please forgive me….”, she stuttered on the floor. The Alpha slowly walked around the table toward her, half-shifted into his black wolf. This was certainly not going to end well.

I jump off my seat and walk towards him as Clarita crawls across the ground to hide.

“Alpha, please, let’s keep our cool”, I tried to soothe him. “We are still young and sometimes say crazy things. Excuse her, Alpha, for once,” I pleaded until I was standing right before him, pushing gently against his chest. His eyes were fixed on the miserable Clarita, who leaned against the wall, her hand pressed to her neck. Slowly he turned to me and watched me closely.

“Why are you protecting this devil when she called you all kinds of names? She is jealous of you and even threatened to tell your mate lies. And yet you keep me from breaking her neck. Why, Mercedes, tell me?” he demanded to know.

I sighed.

“What’s the use, Alpha? Moreover, she is still young, she can change once she meets her mate. Next year we’ll both be eighteen and move out of the pack,” I answered. At these last words, I saw something in his eyes changed in a split second.

His hand took mine on his chest tightly before I could pull back.

“Is that right? And if her pathetic self doesn’t find her mate or if he rejects her? Then I’m stuck here with her, not to mention that my mother will eventually find out what’s going on,” he analyzed. “I think it’s better to kill her right now so she doesn’t become a problem in the future,” he added menacingly, taking two steps toward her again.

Clarita screams of terror, her fearless attitude is completely gone. I quickly look up at the Alpha.

“Please, spare her. Just youthful indiscretion. She will apologize for her inappropriate statements,” I pleaded for my friend again.

He leaned closer to my face, my guts instantly warned me of his closeness. I saw a calculated look in his eyes. My hand was still in his.

“Do you want me to spare her, nullify her words, Mercedes? You want me to be more gentle with her, but she deserves nothing better than her head off,” he said in a low voice. I feel the danger in his aura before I hear it.

“Dinner with me tonight. Like friends. Then I forgive her the comments about my mother and her affair with my father so far.”

I’m trapped! …
