Chapter 223 Yet Another Crazy Ex-Lover
…Cassidy POV…
As I step out into the doorway to the entrance of the room, there is a rather attractive red head in noting but tight black leather in front of me. The moment she lays her eyes on a naked Lucas, her eyes grow wide with a smile that is too uncomfortable for my liking.
Then as I look back at Lucas, he only but mumbles for me not to move. By the look on his face, I can see that he knows who this woman is. And taking for the lust in her eyes, I have a fairly good idea that this is one of those whores that has come back from his past to haunt us.
And haunting, she does as she does not take her eyes off Lucas for a moment. She studies him so closely that it is driving a dagger into my heart, just knowing what has happened between them behind the closed doors that only he and I are now supposed to share.
To say that I am not feverishly mad shall be an understatement. So I am going to assume that she has been scorned by him and that she has come back for nothing but revenge. And it seems like that I am the one that will be paying the price.
Yet, there is no time to argue about it, for the woman has managed to retrieve the Colt that was lying on the dressing table. Does she honestly think I am intimidated by a gun?
Well, god forbid, but she has just fuelled my anger by her very presence in our room.
But yet she turns to Lucas, that has not moved an inch, “Lucas, please, can we talk?”
He only but bursts out in laughter as he looks from her to me, “My dear, Lenora, you tried to kill me. Do you honestly think I am going to afford you the time and listen to your useless babble?” Then he pauses for a brief moment as he assesses the situation, “Now I do urge you to drop that gun.”
She turns back to face me, “Well, that is just not going to happen, Lucas.”
I watch as Lucas tries to step closer, with his eye firmly on the other weapon that is lying on the side table next to the bed. As he tries to approach Lenora, he only but urges her again, “You are making a fateful mistake; I truly suggest that you drop that gun.”
Her voice rumbles in vibration, “You will never get out of this house alive.”
There is absolute silence, but for our heave breathing over the pitter-patter of the raindrops beating against the window.
And as I stare into the eyes of this woman, I feel once again destroyed by Lucas’s past come to haunt our present.
It does not take me an inch of a second; I have retrieved the other Colt that I place on the side table.
With utmost determination, I find myself pointing the gun towards this woman who has dared to come and interfere and try a foolish attempt in taking the life of the man I love.
Well, should I tell her that revenge is sweet? That I am a lethal dose of chaos waiting to erupt. I will lay waste to her miserable Vampire life. She shall not take the only thing that matters the most to me.
I shall reap justice as I see fit.
Shall I show remorse? Remorse is not a word that shall cross my lips. I shall relish in satisfaction as I stand over a body that I shall rip to shreds.
Yet, she still speaks, “What are you going to do with that gun? You are only but a youngling.”
I do not answer her but only push my way forward towards her.
This woman shall die today; I shall slowly rip her skin from the bone and break every bone after that. There shall be no part of her body I shall leave untouched.
Not even having to hesitate, I leap that one last step forward and grip her by her throat. The Colt drops to the floor, and I start to squeeze my fingers one by one tighter until her voice is only but strangles. With the greatest of ease, I drive her body back into the door. I feel her kick and squirm, and I lift her body higher up in the air. Her terrified eyes are looking down on me; I see as the life starts to drain from them one by one. But her fate will not be this easy. I toss her weak body to the side.
It only takes me one swift movement, and I find myself towering her in all my splendor. With only but one foot, I trample her chest, and with the utmost force, I hear her ribs starting to snap. It is like a sweet symphony to my ears as she begs for his life.
“Please.”
“Do you think I will spare you? What is it that makes you superior to me? You are nothing but a measly Vampire to me.”
As he manages to find the strength to sit up straight, I bend down and grab her by her shirt, tearing it from his body. I completely catch her off guard as I rip her up in the air by her ankle, her hands furiously trying to grab hold of my body.
“I am going to bleed you dry. I shall see how you lose every ounce of that light that keeps your body going.”
“Well,” she stutters uncontrollably as the rush of gravity to her head shakes her mind off balance. “You shall get your wish.”
“Oh, and what shall that be? To see you die? I am fulfilling my wish with the utmost of pleasure.”
Not waiting for any further protest from her, I slowly swing her around; I want her to watch me in the eyes as I rip her to pieces. With my right hand, I yank her head to the side, retracting my arm; I crash my fist into her cheek and feel as her head vibrates from the impact.
“Please stop,” she pleads.
I stop for a brief moment; I turn to look her in the eyes, “Did you stop? Or did you just continue to try and kill my husband?”
The woman goes silent. Silence is always an admission unsaid. I shall not stand for any form of hurt and betrayal.
So, it does not take me a moment of hesitation; I smash my hand with knuckles firm on the bridge of her nose. The blood comes dripping down in but little inches of drops on the floor. She shall slowly bleed to death until I have settled the score.
Then with an eager hand that has been waiting for this moment, I take a firm grip on my Colt tucked in at my back. The cold steel sends adrenaline through my veins; the anticipation sets a tingle of pleasure alight in every corner of my body.
“You did not see this one coming, did you?”
So with a very determined hand, I pierce the tip of the barrel ever so hard into the soft skin of her forehead.NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.
The silence has suffocated the room; you can hear a pin drop. The anticipation that one eager finger will trip over a trigger is a possibility that lies high in the tense air of the room.
So with only but a smirk on my face, I look at this woman in front of me that has just become a coward.
“You have made two fateful mistakes.”
Under a mumble of a breath that has a coward trembling, she stumbles over his words, “Please do tell me?”
“For one.” I start. “You have underestimated a youngling.” As I press the barrel firmer into her skin, “And second, you have failed to notice the determination of a woman in love.”
I take my stance and step but two steps back.
“You will not come and fucking ruin my life.” Much to her horror, “And tonight, I am making sure that I am killing you.”
Then the fool decides to speak, “No matter what you do, he will never be yours.”
Well, my restraint snaps.
With absolute determination to show her of her foolish ways, I step closer, “That is where you are wrong.” I pause for a moment as I position my finger softly against my trigger, “He is mine.” I slide the tip of my finger over the trigger, then I continue, “He was mine the first day I laid these hands on him.” And with that, I gently snap my finger until it makes direct contact with the trigger that sets the motion for the bullet to leave the clip; there is a slight click as it slides into the chamber. The heat travels through my hand as the adrenaline rushes through my body.
Then there is one loud BANG.
