The Almighty Dragon General

Chapter 7177

James took the Marauder Token and narrowed his eyes. Then, he bellowed, 'The Marauder Army's commander, Dorvus Hosentia, disobeyed his superior's orders! He will receive a punishment of thirty thousand whips right away!"

James lightly waved the Marauder Token in his hand.

Several Marauder Warriors came forward and caught Dorvus by the arms. They started dragging him away.

Dorvus cried frantically, "Commander! I was wrong, Commander!

"You can't do this! We've just conquered the Terythor Universe, and you need all the help you can get. You can't..."

James simply signaled to the Marauder Warriors to take Dorvus away.

"Harper." James turned his gaze toward her. "You'll monitor the execution of Dorvus' punishment."

Harper paused briefly before she pouted and grumbled, "Are you punishing him for what he did to me earlier?"

James shrugged. "So, are you going or not?"

"Of course I am!" Harper's chin rose in a proud gesture. "What's more, I'm going to do the whipping myself! That annoying old man is going to get a good beating this time."

Then, she darted off to catch up with the men taking Dorvus away.

On the other hand, Yianni, Morgott, and Lesia who had blended in with the rest of the Marauder Warriors were looking at each other.

"What is he doing?" Morgott seethed. 'That old man clearly made up those excuses, yet James fell for it! Isn't it unfair for Harper? This won't do. I need to talk to James and expose Dorvus' evil intentions!"

Yianni and Lesia managed to hold Morgott back by clutching his arms.

"What are you doing?" Morgott growled.

Yianni took a glance at the Marauder Warriors around them and said softly, "You need to calm down, Mr. Morgott. Otherwise, we'll be exposed."

"Like I care about that," Morgott scoffed, "James must have been tricked by Xanthakos' lies and persuasion to be doing this."

"Can you think a little for once?" Lesia pinched his arm. "Master still has use for Dorvus. That's why he let him off so easily."

"She's right." Yianni sighed. "James must have his own considerations. We shouldn't get in his way."

Morgott looked at Yianni and Lesia. "So, you're saying we need to bear with those people? The things Harper went through..."

"Can't you see the bigger picture?" Lesia pinched Morgott's ear this time.

"Would Dorvus have the time to make up all those excuses if my master wanted him dead?"

"Exactly." Yianni agreed, "If James has decided to do it, all of the divine beings here, including the Alcide beings, won't be able to leave this place alive.

"He must have some reason for doing this now. James is probably trying to find out what Xanthakos is really up to."

Morgott's anger gradually subsided. "I don't care what his or whoever's plans are. Anyhow, I will avenge the wrongs inflicted on Harper just now.

"Especially Dorvus and the other two bastards... I'm going to tear them to bits and make them regret what they've done today! I won't let any of you stop me then."

Yianni and Lesia exchanged a meaningful glance. They could see how worked up Morgott was, which was completely different from how they had reacted to the incident.

It was obvious Harper had become someone special to him.

James made an announcement just then. "Everyone, please carry on with your respective duties.© 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

"I will have the Divine Marius handle all affairs relating to the Terythor Universe's management. All of the decisions he makes are with my consent."

James lifted his hand and sent two balls of energy toward Maria and Salim.

As the energies wrapped themselves around their targets, those two people and James disappeared from their spots the next instant.
