Bella’s POV

“Ah !”, I moaned as Kai suddenly gripped my jaw and literally r*ped my mouth with his, against the hallway’s wall, on our way to Dominic’s office.

“Don’t (kiss) leave (kiss) me (kiss) ever (kiss) again (kiss) like (kiss) that (kiss) !!”, Kai punctuated each word with a panty dropping kiss before forcing his knee between my legs and rubbing our cores frantically.

“Mhmm hmm”, was all I could moan in response.

The kiss turned beyond intense by the time our lungs started showing signs of burning with need of air and when the sexy giant’s tongue swept in to duel with mine, a shudder went down my spine, forcing me to get a grip of myself by resting my hands on his appetizing, exposed chest.

It felt like I could taste him for hours, so I wrapped a leg around the mighty strong man and climbed up his toned torso.

The handsome hunk did not waste time in clutching my ass in a possessive grip, effortlessly lifting me in a hot, fluid motion, and wrapping my legs around his waist.

My heart slammed into my chest as we made out frantically while bursts of pleasure and sparks made me feel heady.

“Alright guys. Cut it out”, Dominic’s voice floated in. “The staff is unable to work because of you two blocking the hallway and you need to come to the meeting room. We are going over our final plans for the war”, he added before leaving us behind, but not before giving us both a loving kiss.

“How much time do we have till we reach the meeting room ?”, Kai called out behind Dominic.

“10 minutes tops”, Dominic shouted without turning back. “Make it quick”, he added and his voice contained a tint of laughter.

“Make what quick ?”, I asked confused, only to find the answer when Kai slammed back his lips on mine, making me widen my eyes in shock.

Oh boy ! We were going to be here for a long time for sure now, I thought before slotting my lips with his in perfect harmony.

Ah ! He tasted so delicious !

However, he managed to turn even the fiery hot kiss into actual fire in 2 seconds flat.

Bella’s POV

“Kai ! Stop parading me around with you like a possessive beast”, I chided my Beta mate when he wrapped an arm around my neck.

But the adamant Lycan kept me by his side all the time in the palace, especially ever since Max and I came back to the palace after completing our training, sans the others ofcourse who were still blissfully unaware of Max’s transformation.

“No !”, he possessively negated and kept me tucked under his arm before going to the Strategy Room to meet Dominic.

” …. the Dark Overlord needs to be kept in the human dimension. With Tyra gone from the picture and Zeke missing, the devil will surely change his plans of attacking us in the university now. I suggest we do not wait for tomorrow and instead launch a surprise attack tonight”, I heard Dominic strategize before we opened the door to find hordes of higher ranked warriors in the room.

However, my hair stood up when I felt an unwanted presence in the huge meeting room. No !

“Hmm. Good strategy, son”, someone in the audience chuckled and clapped out loud in the otherwise radio silent, dim lit room.

How did Dominic miss that ?

This is what the late Seer had warned us about.

The villain of the era stepped out of the shadows while mocking the entire council with deliberate, slow claps and settled himself opposite to Dominic’s chair comfortably.

The warriors were quick to surround him with all kinds of pointed weapons but Dominic raised his hand and silently gestured everyone to leave the room.

However, Kai and I stayed behind while Ryan hurried out to protect his mate, Max and Tyra.

“You don’t look like you have come for a peace offering”, Dominic commented as he calmly leaned back on his swiveling chair and locked his fingers near his chin, his eyes not wavering down from looking at his father directly, even for a fraction of a second.

“No”, the Satanic War Lord smirked. “I am here to watch you all die while my soldiers raid this palace. I must say this is a beautiful place- much better than my burnt castle. I will surely enjoy ruling from here”, he laughed, making Kai fist his hands in anger.

I was quick to calm down my Beta mate by forcing his fist open and intertwining our fingers together. He gave me a small smile before looking back ahead.

On the other hand, Dominic coolly studied his father’s face and looked collected, I could hear him give quick instructions to everyone through the pack link.

This was not the place we had intended to keep as a war zone ! Nor the time !!

Zeke’s cover had been long back blown and Tyra’s departure from the evil camp had been the precipitating factor for this immaturely timed war in such a delicate place.

Thankfully, the good, old Seer had helped us prepare a secret weapon and I intended to use it at the opportune moment.

“Max. Can you hear me ?”, I mindlinked the newly turned Lycan.

“Yes, I can”, pat came his reply.

“Good. We need to finish off this demonic intruder in the next 10 minutes, or else, no one will be able to survive the onslaught of his army”, I quickly said.

“How ?”, Max asked, coming straight to the point. Good boy.

“Challenge him to a duel outside in the arena and let him choose out of me, Dominic, Kai and you. Look as meek as you can and lure him out. I will take care of everything else after that. However, under no circumstance take an oath of fair fight”, I chalked out the quick plan.

Not every war needs to be won on the basis of strength, the good old Seer had said repeatedly.

And then desperate times call for desperate measures.

“Consider it done then”, Max confidently said before barging into the room and taunting the Dark Overlord for a duel.

Max’s POV

When I entered the room with the disgusting Warlord in it, I was not expecting the opportunity to duel with him, present itself so easily on a platter !

“Oh look whom my ungrateful daughter has sent to welcome me !! Now, now. Isn’t it the unwanted human pest ? Look at you ! All fresh and healed up. Guess my previous parting gift did not stay with you for long”, he chuckled a humourless laugh.

“Oh don’t underestimate your abilities, old man. Not everyone can throw a mean punch”, I chuckled while teasing the devil’s strength- ironic but it had to be done. Admittedly, it had hurt like a mother …. ”

And that is when I felt my mate’s presence nearing towards us.

“Haha haha haha. Look who’s disappearing balls came back”, the dark soul laughed at me, just as Tyra barged in to the room at the same time. “Guess I will have to give you a stronger dose to curb your diseased haughtiness”, he gritted out.

Wow !

He took the bait so easily !!

All I had to do was to rile him up by throwing out a childish taunt.

“Some people try to be tall by cutting off the heads of others. Looks like you are not giving up that habit”, Tyra coldly said as she protectively shoved me behind her.

My heart melted at that gesture but now was not the time to play puppy love, especially with my evil father in law in the same room.

“Oh hello Tyra dear ! I thought I smelled failure”, the runt said with his signature mocking chuckle following suit.

I swear I wasn’t born with enough middle fingers to tell how I felt about the black hearted and black tongued nutmeg right now.

What a fucking sick bastard !!

But then this was the Dark Overlord that we were talking about.

However, Tyra looked unfazed and instead, coldly replied, “Sorry father but it seems like it is your natural stench or cheap hair spray. I would strongly suggest that you don’t taunt the alligator until you cross the creek”, she warned. “Stupidity is not a crime so you are free to go. Plus do me a favour of taking those useless nincompoops of yours, with you”, she added. “Otherwise, I will be forced to dirty my hands”, she smirked.

“You can run your hands through your hair then”, Zeke hissed through the mindlink making everyone bite their cheeks from the inside to stop themselves from laughing.

The Beta must be fighting the Dark Overlord’s Army nearby.

“Shut up, Zeke”, Tyra retorted but over the week, she had turned fond of him and even looked at him as a brother as much as she revered Dominic as one.

Suddenly a ball of flaming Dark Arts fire came crashing towards Tyra and before she could react, it was already on the verge of gobbling her into nothingness.

So I did the only sane thing possible and blew a counteracting weapon of the Dark Arts, behind Tyra and let it look like she had thrown it with her hand.

Everyone, including the Dark Overlord and Tyra were shocked but I did not give them much time to analyze the event by challenging the bone dry asshole.

“That was quite a chicken move”, I chuckled. “Why don’t you fight in the arena like a true warrior instead of bursting kiddie firecrackers in this beautiful room ? You can choose anyone out of Bella, Kai, Dominic and- me ofcourse as your dueling opponent !!”, I said before suavely tucking Tyra under my arm. “Personally, I would love to avenge the treatment meted out towards my mate by you”, I added.

I was not going to hide anymore !

I was a Lycan Warrior now.

And I was going to make a statement to the world through my actions today !!

“What are you gonna do, angel face ? Stab me with your eyebrow pencil ?”, the Dark Overlord laughed, clearly choosing me for the fight.

He fell for the trap ! Yes !!

“Whatever helps to kill you”, I side smiled.
