Bella’s POV

Turns out Dominic was thinking something different and dirty afterall. His way of “taking care of us” included making an ice cream out of me and handsomely squeezing out chocolate syrup on my sensitive buds before licking and sucking on the mentioned sensitive regions.

“You dirty, dirty vampire”, I cussed the mastermind of this entire craziness, to which I was an unwilling party and victim to, as Dominic mercilessly sucked on one cream covered n*pple while the other traitorous lover of mine- Kai assaulted the other.

“Gosh ! I never knew ice cream could taste tastier than it already is”, Kai moaned as if he were in ice cream paradise.

“Hmm me tooooo”, Dominic shamelessly groaned, completely ignoring my angry rant and proceeding to notch things higher up and dirtier.This content belongs to Nô/velDra/ma.Org .

While Kai made a meal out of my lips, Dominic decided to give me a lip smacking oral and by the end of it, I could just say that I was ‘Ice Kyream’, completely drenched with my own cream and that of the ice cream.

“You two are the worst !”, I breathlessly adjudged after screaming their names, though Dominic had to hold back Kai from marking me then and there prematurely. “I can’t believe it that you guys pulled off such a public stunt”, I huffed as Dominic scooped me in his arms and headed straight towards the bathroom which had the same Great Bath area like the one we saw at the tribal forest, except that this was more elegant with a variety of rose petals floating in it and unique dragon statues bordering majestically around it, from whose mouths water came gushing out into the huge, square shaped bath tub.

It was basically a royal mini pool for bathing !

“It is for all the times that you troubled me in class and confused my heart in the dorm when you first came”, Kai replied with an amused chuckle while Dominic placed me gently in the warm, relaxing scented water.

“Anybody could have walked in, in the kitchen !”, I exclaimed as the boys joined in too. “The nerve of you blasted boys”, I chided.

“I doubt it that anybody would have gone against the King’s orders and risk the option of losing their goddamn head”, Dominic smirked.

I rolled my eyes at the c*cky King and splashed water at him making him retaliate with greater gusto and soon enough we had involved Kai in our mini war too, causing the water to be everywhere except the giant bath. Haha.

Bella’s POV

“I thought you had got us here to introduce us to the coven members and royal staff”, I remarked as Dominic piled my plate with unimaginable varieties of exotic food over zealously after dismissing the entire staff.

Dominic and Ryan’s mom had retired to her private quarters as she had to get up early and prepare for our departure preparations- what did she even mean by that ? What was there to prepare ? And then whispered something in Kai’s ear when we hugged and kissed the kindred soul goodnight.

Since then Kai had been delving in deep thought and would get lost in his thoughts even if we stopped giving him 2 minutes of attention !!

“No, I will introduce you to everyone only when we three are mated and marked completely. I don’t want any unpleasant shocks before that, especially by risking your lives when that wretched father of mine is on the lookout for us all. Information can be leaked and I am determined to come out to the entire world about us three only when he is dead. I will go mad with sorrow if something happens to any of you. So no revelation of identities for now”, he firmly declared and I nodded my head in agreement.

What he said made sense.

“So Kai, when are you- …. Kai ? Kai ? Kai Grayson !!”, I shouted and the Beta lycan shook out of his thoughts for the nth time during dinner making me sigh.

“What is up with you, Kai ? Why are you so quiet and tense ? You have been like that ever since Ryan’s mom whispered something in your ears”, I pointed out my observations.

“I was just thinking about giving us three a break till our birthdays”, he finally voiced out his thoughts and, Dominic and I immediately stilled and tensed up.

“You mean like a temporary break up in our relationship ?”, I whispered, shaken by the very thought and half afraid of his answer.

“Yes”, Kai said with lowered eyes making Dominic to stand on his feet immediately.

“What did she say, Kai ?”, he angrily asked.

“She did not say anything !”, Kai answered, defending Domz’s foster mother immediately. “It is just that the thought hit me when I realized something. We should really give each other some space and it is just a matter of five days anyways. Bella’s birthday and mine is this Saturday. It will not be that hard to live away from each other”, he reasoned out.

Gross understatement, it turned out to be, let me tell you.

“What brought this on, Kai ?”, Dominic asked as he bend down on his knees by Kai’s chair and gave a pleading look to our lover. “I know she foresaw something and told you about it. She is a seer and I will go crazy without you, even if it is for five days or without any explanation about why you are doing this”, he brokenheartedly said.

“It was nothing. Just believe me, Domz. Just this one time”, Kai implored with his eyes starting to water. “Please Domz”, he implored.

“Can’t you tell us the reason, Kai ?”, I softy asked him, holding his hand in mine to draw as much comfort as I could by his touch. I did not want him to leave us.

It already felt like he was a major part of my soul along with Dominic, and that I could not live without them near me for more than even a day, let alone 5 days !

“I am not so sure about it. I would rather just stay low for a while and not say anything. We will be meeting in class in any case”, he countered. “It is not that bad or that big of a deal”, he meekly said, making me grip his hand even tighter.

“No”, I muttered.

“No ?”, he asked confused.

“No. You are not leaving us Kai. This is very suspicious behaviour and I swear to all Gods, I will torture the truth out of you, if need be, if you don’t tell us the complete truth”, I spoke through clenched teeth.

I was beginning to lose my cool.

It was not my fault.

Nothing about this felt right.

What the hell was he up to ?

“I can’t tell you two anything and that is final”, Kai growled with finality in his tone. “Now excuse me but I am going back to my pad to pack up. I will drive away from here on my own. No need to bother anyone. I shall not be staying at our dorm and please respect me and my space, if you really love me”, he said and stood up to get the car keys from the royal valet.

I snatched the car keys before he could and when Kai tried to get them from me, I climbed up his torso and cried on his shoulder, hugging him airtight.

“Something is wrong, Kai. I know it. I can feel it, believe it or not and I can’t let you go away just like that”, I sobbed. “Please don’t do anything stupid. Stay with us”, I begged him.

Kai forced my head out of the crook of his neck to reveal a constellation of tears pooling in his eyes before his voice cracked, “If you guys are late for my class tomorrow, even by a millisecond, I will be rooming away from you two for the next five days. If not, then I will come back to stay in our dorm. Is that a deal ?”, he asked.

“You damn well know it is a deal”, I smiled through my tears and kissed him hard.

However, when I leaned in for a second one, Kai turned away his head and stated mechanically, “I need to go. I can’t stay here any longer”, he declared and put me down before grabbing back the car keys from me.

It would be a lie if I said that it didn’t hurt.

This was not natural !!

Nothing about these turn of events was ordinary.

Instead, my heart was already shattering in a thousand pieces as if I was losing someone I loved.

Was this break really temporary ?

Dominic watched the retreating figure of Kai with cold eyes, frown lines running deep on his forehead with his jaw tightening in fury and worry.

And before I knew it, he was already dashing towards our professor at an insanely fast vampire speed.

Sigh !

This better not make things worse between us.

Oh Moon Goddess, please fast forward our days to our birthday already.

Please.

Third Person POV

“Where do you think, you are going without saying so much so as a goodbye to me ?”, Dominic gruffed as he snagged back his lover in his arms and smashed his lips in a dead angry kiss.

He poured his feelings of longing, love, betrayal, anger and above all sadness into that one departing kiss before Kai pushed him away teary eyed and barked, “Leave me the fuck alone, Dominic. Just stay away from me and respect my wishes. I said we are on a break”, he lashed out.

“You do not get to decide that on your own without consulting us !”, Dominic growled back as he pinned Kai against the car’s hood.

“Dominic ? W-What a-are y-you d-doing ?”, Kai stuttered when the Vampire King suddenly sucked on his neck harshly and did not waste a second in sinking his fangs in Kai’s throat.

Kai screamed Dominic’s name and forced himself away from him in time before the deadly possessive vampire mated and marked him prematurely then and there !

Thankfully, the vampire had only fed on him like vampires normally did with their preys and not actually marked him by dropping his mating ‘Vampiric Essence’ in Kai’s bloodstream.

“I will miss you”, Dominic whimpered, feeling sad for the first time since he found his mates.

“Me too”, Kai replied woefully before getting behind the wheel. “Just be there to my class on time. I mean it, Domz. If you are late, then I shall move out for the rest of the week from our dorm”, he said before firing up the super engine of the vampire’s car and leaving behind a hopeful vampire boy who did not go back inside his castle till Bella had to force him in.
