Taming The CEO The Escaping Wife

Chapter 141

Chapter 141

The nurse led Letitia to the doctor’s office to get the lowdown on Malinda’s condition and the treatment plan.

They prescribed the special medicine, she got an entire box of them!

But what Letitia didn’t know was that while she was at the doc’s, Shela sneaked into the ward!

Malinda was weak and asleep, and Shela didn’t hold back one bit, shaking her awake, “Hey, time to wake up! No more beauty sleep for you!”

With Malinda not stirring. Shela pinched her hard, “Still in the mood for Zs, huh? Your grandson’s dead, that kid who was supposed to be the apple of everyone’s eye!”

Malinda gasped for air and woke up from the pinch.

“It’s you?” Seeing Shela, Malinda freaked out. “What do you want now? Nurse, nurse!”

Malinda tried to call someone over to kick her out. That woman was bad news!

“Hehe, I’m not gonna do anything to you, Shela said, “Just came to shoot the breeze. Last time… we had quite the chit-chat, didn’t we?”

Malinda glared at her, “You’re full of it. I won’t fall for your lies! I only trust my daughter!”

“I swear may my whole family drop dead if I lie to you. I’m telling you the truth because it’s just too pathetic to see you kept in the dark.”

“What are you here to spill this time?”

Shela’s smile was full of malice as she said, “Letitia’s pregnant, did you know?”

“Last time you said, she she married Elgin, so the baby is… Malinda’s eyes bulged!

“That’s right,” Shela said. “The kid Letitia’s carrying is Elgin’s!”

“This ”

“I told you, she’s just Elgin’s plaything Getting knocked up is par for the course, Shela said with a grin. “But you don’t need to worry too much

“Why shouldn’t I worry? Getting pregnant is a big deal for a woman!”

“Because she got pregnant and then had a miscarriage.”

Malinda’s heart was on a rollercoaster ride. Every piece of news was like a bombshell!

Shela’s smile grew wider, “And guess what, Elgin personally took her to the operating room to get rid of the baby. Tells you how much he despises Letitia, to the point where he could get rid of his own flesh and blood…”

“No, that can’t be true,” Malinda’s face turned ashen, “I don’t believe it, you’re talking nonsense. Get out, I don’t want to hear this, get out!”

“I’ve still got to finish. With Letitia’s body going through pregnancy and miscarriage, and warming Elgin’s bed, it’s just filthy. To think she didn’t even have the right to keep the baby, tsk tsk tsk, she’s living worse than a streetwalker”

Malinda, fuming, flopped back onto the bed, clutching her heart

Shela kept on yapping. “Every penny you use is earned by Letitia selling herself, selling out to the very enemy that tore the Sanders family apart.”

“Letitia’s life is ruined, what man would want her now?”

“Did you really thought by marrying Elgin, shed be the high and mighty Mrs Ramirez?”

“Every time Letitia wants to visit you, she has to beg Elgin, make sure he’s well taken care of before she gets a chance. Think about it, doesn’t she rarely come, and isn’t each visit super short?”

Malinda, with eyes shut, her chest heaved violently, “Shut up, shut up…”

She pointed a shaky finger at Shela, “You’re just here to rile me up, I’m not listening. Nurse, someone come, get her out… Letitia, Letitia where are you!”

Shela grabbed Malinda’s hand and shoved it back under the covers, “Just lie down, don’t you go and kick the bucket”

“You. you…

“Oh yeah, Shela showed off a ring on her finger, “Like it? Sparkly, huh? It’s worth millions, Elgin gave it to me.”

The diamond was dazzling Malinda felt another surge of anger, “He gave that to you?”

‘Yes, you really think Elgin only has eyes for Letitia?

Melinda’s eyes rolled back, her body twitched a few times, then she slammed back onto the bed, fainted.

you didn’t just die on me, did you? Hello?”

Shela smited. “I just said a few things, you

Shela pinched her several times but Malinda didn’t respond.

Starting to panic, Shela checked for Malinda’s breath… Seems like, seems like there’s no breath!

Shela’s heart skipped a beat, scared out of her wits, she turned tail and bolted.

She hadn’t expected Malinda to be so fragile…

If Malinda really kicked the bucket, Letitia would go ballistic!

Shela ran out of the ward, in a tizzy, and just as she was about to hit the elevator, she bumped into Letitia coming out of the doctor’s office.

“Shela!” Seeing her, Letitia’s heart sank.

Shela panicked even more, never thinking she’d run into Letitia at the eleventh hour!

“What are you doing here?” Letitia stepped up quickly, grabbing her, “What rubbish have you been spewing to my mother!”

“I, I didn’t talk nonsense! It’s all true!”

Letitia’s grip on Shela’s wrist tightened. “It’s not your place to gossip about my business!”

“You’re hurting me Shela struggled. “I’m leaving now, I’m not in your way, let go!”

“Think you can just leave? Not so fast! Nurse, check on my mom!” Letitia had her guard up.

Hearing the nurse was heading to the ward, Shela squirmed even harder, “Let go, I need to leave, what right do you have to hold me…” Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.

Letitia simply dragged her towards the ward.

“Ah!” Suddenly, the nurse screamed, “Doctor, get a doctor! The patient… her eyes, they’re not moving!”

What? Letitia rushed to the bedside, “Mom, Mom!”

She screamed her lungs out, but Malinda never responded

A bunch of doctors with serious looks on their faces marched in, pushing the hospital bed towards the OR, “Get ready for a lifesaving operation, schedule the surgery… family member, sign here! Issue the critical condition notice!”

The scene got super chaotic for a moment. With a decisive click, the doors to the surgery room slammed shut. Inside and outside, it was like two different worlds.

The critical condition notice was quickly handed to Letitia, “Please sign here.”

Letitia’s hands were shaking like crazy, she couldn’t even hold the pen.

She gotted her teeth so hard, she could taste blood in her mouth.

“Shela!” she suddenly spun around, stormed over, and grabbed Shela, who was cowering in the corner, “If anything happens to my mom, I swear I’ll make you pay with your life!”

“I didn’t. I didn’t touch her! She got critically ill on her own!”

“It was something you said!” Letitia yelled, “You agitated her!”
