Taming The CEO The Escaping Wife

Chapter 91

Chapter 91

Shela laughed even louder, “Oh come on, Mr. Ramirez, don’t be like that…”

She was deliberately squandering all those supplements to keep Letitia from getting any nourishment.

She hated that child she’s carrying, doing everything in her power to make Letitia lose the baby!

“Aren’t you supposed to be in the hospital resting up for the baby?” Letitia took a deep breath to keep her cool, “What brings you to Ivory Towers?”

“The doc said I’m stable enough to be discharged, just need to be careful from now on.”

“Your home is at Breezy Bay Condos

Shela lifted her chin smugly. “Mr. Ramirez said, starting today. I’m living at Ivory Towers. Because I’m pregnant, he wants to spend more time with me, to be there for the baby!”

What? Shela moving in?

Then what about her? How’s she supposed to live from now on? Does she even want to?

Shela’s always stirring up trouble, scheming and targeting her and her baby!

Plus, Shela’s pregnant too, and if something were to happen… if Shela played the pregnancy card, she’d be framed and wouldn’t have a leg to stand on!

“Impossible,” Letitia blurted out without thinking. “In Ivory Towers, it’s her or me, not both!”

Shela might not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but she’s definitely not a pushover.

If it were just Letitia, she’d take her on, make sure Shela couldn’t stay a day longer in Ivory Towers. But with a baby on board, she

couldn’t take any risks

And if anything happened to Shela, she’d be sure to get the blame! This was a lose-lose situation!

“Mr. Ramirez, listen to her, she can’t stand me,” Shela pouted, “Fine, I guess I should just leave…”

Elgin raised his hand to stop her, “Sit down.”

“But she doesnt welcome me

“Letitia, Elgin asked, “You really think you’re the lady of the house?”

“I know my place,” Letitia answered, “I’m just stating my position-I can’t and won’t live under the same roof as Shela.”

“Then get lost.”

“Fine by me.” She agreed instantly, “I’ll move out right now!”

This was a stroke of luck! Letitia couldn’t wait to get out of there, the farther from Elgin the better! And now the chance had dropped right into her lap!

Elgin’s face darkened. Stop right there!”

“You told me to get lost,” Letitia retorted confidently, “I’m just following orders.”

Elgin was speechless. She nearly had him there!

“Still want me to go?” Letitia asked, “I’d love to move out, not to intrude on your cozy little world with Shela.”

“Don’t even think about using this as an excuse to leave.”

Letitia pointed at Shela, retorting, “Fine, then she can leave!”

“Cut the crap, Elgin glared at her coldly. “Both of you, stay in Ivory Towers!”

Her tone was mocking, “Two women at each other’s throats every day, aren’t you afraid the mess?”

“You can’t harm her, and you wouldn’t dare.”

Shela had his backing. And Letitia? She had no one behind her, just herself, and she couldn’t fall.

Shela said on purpose, “Letitia, as long as you don’t mess with me, I won’t do anything to you… Besides, I’m not one to cause trouble. I’m moving in to nurture my pregnancy, to give the baby more interaction with Mr. Ramirez, to build that father-son bond, you know”

“When have I ever bullied you?”

“So many times, I just don’t hold it against you.” Letitia rolled her eyes big time.

“By the way,” Shela added. “The date on your divorce agreement with Mr. Ramirez is coming up, you won’t be Mrs. Ramirez for much

inger”

The smug look on her face was nauseating.

Vine,” Letitia chose to back down a step. “You guys take the master bedroom, I’ll stay on the first floor, and we won’t cross paths.”

After all, the further away from these two, the better!

Shela giggled, “The guest room on the first floor? Oh my, you’ve become a guest now, haven’t you? Should I play the gracious host?”

“I couldn’t bear it.”

“Mr. Ramirez, let’s do what she wishes then.”

“No,” Elgin looked up at her. “Letitia, you’ll stay in the back, in the maid’s quarters.”

With that, the living room fell silent.

The butler’s eyes widened in shock, “Mr. Ramirez…”

“What’s your status? Not the host, not a guest, the maid’s quarters suit you best, gives you a place to land.”

Shela’s face was about to burst with joy.

Oh, how satisfying it was to see Letitia brought low like this, it was music to her ears!

“…Okay.” Letitia accepted.

The maid’s quarters it is, still better than sleeping on the floor of the master bedroom.

At least, she’d have her own space now!

She didn’t have to worry about sleepwalking into Elgin’s bed, or seeing Elgin’s face every night.

A bit of freedom at last!

But the butler was frantic, “Mrs. Ramirez, how can you…”

“Elgin is the master here, whatever he says goes.” With that, Letitia smiled, “Butler, please show me the way, thank you for your trouble”

“But..

Elgin’s piercing gaze swiftly swept over.

Left with no choice, the butler complied, “Mrs. Ramirez, please follow me.”

Letitia walked away without looking back.

With complaints and pleas, she just left calmly! It really irked Elgin! He got up and strode upstairs.

Seeing this, Shela hurriedly followed. She had dreamed of living in Ivory Towers, and now it was all coming true.

“Dad was right, having a kid is better than any other means!” Shela pondered. Even if Mr. Ramirez’s affections shift or his interest in her wanes, with her child, her status is secure!

Entering the master bedroom, Shela admired everything around her, quite pleased, “So spacious, and such a big bed, I love this walk-in closet, it can pretty much fit all my clothes…” Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

She was completely oblivious to Elgin’s brooding expression.

He stood by the window, the evening breeze gently blowing in.

“Do you like this room?” he asked.

“Yeah, Mr. Ramirez, Shela replied cheerfully, “just thinking about getting to live with you every single day, opening and closing my eyes to you, I feel so incredibly lucky!”

“Well, you can stay here, and I’ll move next door.”

Shela was taken aback, “What?”

“Or, you know, there are plenty of guest rooms upstairs. Pick whichever one you like.”

“Mr. Ramirez, aren’t we… aren’t we going to live together?”

“Until we make things official, it’s better to keep a bit of space, Elgin replied. “It’s not great for your reputation.”

Shela shook her head frantically. “I don’t care about that, Mr. Ramirez, as long as…”

I do care, and I have to think about you.”

‘But.

Elgin cut her off. Its settled then.”

take a guest room,” Shela said, obviously not thrilled. “Mr. Ramirez, I’ll stay in the one next to you, I don’t want to be too far
