Chapter 34

Chapter 34

Manyata's POV

Vikram Bhai sa was helping Sandhya bhabhi in the packing when I went to their room. I knocked and

he smiled and asked me to come I side.

" Bhai sa, Can I go back to Delhi with you?? "

" Of course Manu, why are you even asking you are my sister just like Vidhi. And I just love the way

you call me Bhai sa "

" Thanks, Bhai sa... "

" Thanks ?? Now I am going to scold you. " he glared at me.

" Bhai sa... can we....leave now? Please?"

" Right now?? " He looked surprised and I nodded.

" Let Sagar come dear... It will look very rude If we leave without saying goodbye to him. Afterall we

came to his wedding and we are guest in his home. " He said and I took a deep breath.

" Yeah... I guess... But... " I could not say more than that.

" Manu?? "

" Hmmm "

" What is the problem?? "

" N..no problem bhai sa ... "

" Manyata Singh Rathore !!! Look at me. Do you think I am blind?? I can see that you are tensed. Did

Sahil misbehave with you? Is the reason for your leaving like this? "

" No bhai... " I said but I chocked While saying that. He hugged me immediately.

" What happened?? Hmm ?? Tell me... I will break his jaw. "

" Nothing bhai... he didn't say or do anything...

" You are lying Manu... Otherwise, why do you want to go so suddenly, when both Sagar and Sahil are

not at home? "

" Nothing bhai sa, I just want to get away from here and my work has piled up too. Sagar bhai would

again persuade me not to go just now. " Vikram Bhai was looking at me and I know that he didn't buy

that. But I could not find another excuse.

" Ok... If you say so, let's go... I am letting this topic go now but you will have to tell me everything. I

need to know what is bothering my sister. And if Sahil has done anything, he would not even recognise

himself in the mirror. " He said and looked at bhabhi she also closed her bag and we took permission of

uncle and aunty and met everyone and left.

I came back to Delhi with Vikram bhai. He kept asking me what happened but I didn't say anything.

I was still at their home as they insisted me to stay with them for a few days. I agreed as anyways l

would have to clean my apartment because it was closed for over a month.

I had already signed the papers and now I had set him free as he wanted. He could go on dates and

have as many one-night stands he wanted.

I felt a sharp pang of jealousy but I pushed that feeling aside. He doesn't belong to me now... He never

did...

I still remember everything very clearly.

I was standing there meekly as my dad and mom were getting very emotional about me. Dad wanted to

see me married before he went for his treatment. He just wanted to be rest assured that I will be fine

even if something bad happened to him.

I was so shocked. My dad did not approve of me being a fashion photographer. But he never stopped

me from following my dreams.

He was a bit disappointed with me when I refused to do an MBA and take up his business. I was least

interested in it.

He just said, " I never imposed my decisions on you and would have never done that if I was alright but

I can't even die peacefully thinking that you are not settled. What would everyone say?? That I couldn't

even settle down my only child. "

I did not want to give him any stress as it is I failed as a daughter. My parents did not like my work

much. According to them, I was a photographer, who clicked pictures.

They did not like me wearing short dresses or revealing clothes so I usually wore dresses which

covered the full body.

So that day, I was in a hospital room with my parents. I was totally broken because my of dad's health

condition and his decision about my life. My dad told me that I have to get married to the son of

Malhotra uncle.

His name was Sagar and he was supposed to come today. I was trying to persuade dad but he said

that I could do at least that for his peace of mind.

I could not say a word and kept sobbing standing in the corner.

When Malhotra uncle came with his son, he introduced him as Sahil. I was a bit surprised as dad talked

about Sagar.

Dad asked him and he told me that Sagar was in love with someone for very long so he would like

Sahil to get married to me.

It didn't matter to me as both were same for me. He was standing there in the hospital room with his

dad when we were manipulated to get married. I don't know how his father got him ready.

I expected that he would deny but he didn't even bother to look at me. He just kept standing there and

then they made us got married in the presence of a magistrate.

We both signed some papers and with just a signature we were married. I was Manyata Sahil Malhotra

now. We were married with just 4 people present there to witness our wedding.

It felt very weird that we were married to each other and didn't know a single thing about each other. He

also looked upset about the wedding.

My dad also gave him the responsibility of our business with some conditions. He was a partner in Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

dad's business now.

Mom made us exchange garlands and he put vermilion in my hair parting and tied mangal sutra around

my neck. My mom had covered my head with traditional auspicious chunri which was translucent. I

looked at him for the first time properly but he was not even looking at me.

He did not even look at me or bothered to talk to me

Not even a single sentence.

Was he also emotionally blackmailed to get married to me. He looked upset and angry.

Mom took us home and tried to make us comfortable around each other.

She asked me to stay in the same room but I refused. I slept in my room and he in the guest room.

Next day my mom sent me to his room to give him morning tea. But I saw him getting ready.

I kept the tea on the table. He again did not even bother to look at me. I

Was about to say something, when he put his hand up to stop me from saying anything.

" Listen Ms Manyata, my dad wanted me to get married to me. I could not deny it because of my own

reasons. But that's it. I am going back to my life and there is no place for you there. Just don't expect

anything from me. You are also free to do whatever you want to do in life. Just don't bother me. " He

said in a stern voice and left the room and our home without a single glance at me.

I took a deep breath and came back with a cup of tea.

" Is he still sleeping? " Mom asked me.

' No, he had some urgent work so he went away. He would come back in a few days to get me. " I said

to assure her.

After two days, my parents were supposed to the US for the treatment. Uncle said that he would also

go there within a week.

I wanted to go with them, but my dad was adamant and said, " Manu beta, now you are married to

Sahil. Your new life started just now. You are supposed to be with him. You can't come with us. Go

back and start your married life with Sahil. "

I looked at uncle and he nodded and said, " Yes beta, your dad is right, you will go back to Delhi with

Sahil. "

I just didn't know how to make them understand that we were just married on paper. But my dad looked

relieved now, so I did not say anything.

Dad asked me about Sahil and I said, " Dad, he is coming tomorrow in the morning. Don't worry I will

be absolutely fine. I will be happy and you please go and take the treatment. I want you to be

absolutely fine. Please take care. "

My parents were happy and satisfied from my side. That was enough for me.
