TAMING THE BEAST IN HIM ( His Red Phoenix )

Gianna can be seen pacing to and fro, her fingers pressed on her temple while she groans now and then. Melinoe was standing before her, a smirk on her lips. Gianna paused and turned to look at her.

” Mom, what the fuck has gotten into you?! ” She yelled in frustration.

” This wasn’t part of the deal! Our people are fucking waiting for us, our kingdom is in our hands and all you care about is Axion? Our bait?! ” She scoffed in disbelief.

” Come on, mom ” She threw her hands up. What she said didn’t seem to bother Melinoe who just rolled her eyes.

” I will save our kingdom, Cruella( Gianna ). I am your goddess and I know my responsibility…

” I don’t think you know anymore. This isn’t you, mom. You don’t hesitate no matter what. Before, all you wanted was to capture Axion and hand him over so we can go back to our people as soon as possible but now…

” Things have changed, Cruella! ” Melanie cut her off.

” I will do anything for our kingdom. But I will also do the same to be with Axion ”

” Why?! ”

” Because he’s my mate, he’s fucking mine! “She growled in rage. Gianna was more than bewildered.

” You’ve fallen for him, mom. How… how could you? ” She muttered in shock.

” I couldn’t help it, my dear. After our passionate night together, all that has been in my mind is him. I want him, I want him inside me. I crave for him every fucking minute and it’s driving me nuts ” Melinoe moaned, her eyes closed as she fantasize about Axion.

Gianna scowled at her, her eyes burning with fury. She landed a slap across Melinoe’s face prompting her to snap her eyes open.

” You’ve lost your mind, mom! ” Gianna snapped.

Melinoe sent her a bloodshot, knee-wobbling glare as her eyes grew dark. She was burning inside in rage. Gianna regretted what she did immediately and gulped down nothing, stepping away from her.

” Did… you… just… slap… me? ” Melinoe breathed out angrily.

” I… I’m… sorry…”

Melinoe’s fingers grew into claws and she immediately dug them into Gianna’s neck. Gianna yelled out in pain as dark blood can be seen oozing down her neck.

” You don’t ever… dare… raise your hands against your goddess… regardless! ” She roared and Gianna shut her eyes, tears rolling down.

“M… o… m ” She managed to stutter, her face turning red.

Just then, Melinoe quickly pulled her claws out of her neck when she felt something pierce into her heart and Gianna plunged to the floor, whimpering.

Melinoe held her chest as she felt another thrust into her heart, making her gasp. She glanced at her hand and black, inked veins can be seen running through her body and that made her eyes widen.

She lumped to the floor, kneeling as she started coughing out dark blood. Blood rolled down her face from her eyes and breathing became difficult for her. Gianna’s eyes enlarged in horror.

” Mom! ” She yelled, rushing to her. She held just in time before she slumped fully to the floor.

” Mom, what’s happening? Mom! ” She shook Melinoe vigorously, tapping her cheeks as her eyes started closing up.

” A… x… i… on ” Melinoe coughed out another blood before her eyes finally closed up. Shock ran through Gianna.

” Mom! ” She yelled at the prime of her voice.

It turned out Melinoe made a grave mistake bonding Axion to herself using her blood. She wasn’t aware of the consequences.

As Phoenix and Axion were getting intimate, the moment Axion penetrated Phoenix, the blood bond holding him and Melinoe broke. Because of that, Melinoe’s heart started bleeding and it was lethal enough to kill her.

” No, this can’t be. I won’t let anything happen to you, mom ” Gianna mumbled in tears and quickly carried Melinoe whose face and body has already gone pale.

She vanished and reappeared in a cave.

” Master ” She called in a shaky voice.

” What are you doing here, Cruella? ” A horse, deep and terrifying voice, enough to make anyone quiver and succumbed to the floor, boomed the entire cave. Gianna held Melinoe tighter, her legs shaking frantically.

” M… aster… my… mom…” She stammered.

” What happened to Melinoe? ” The voice demanded and Gianna started crying immediately. She was petrified as fuck.

” Mom… she… she…

” She betrayed me, didn’t she? ” The voice scoffed and Gianna looked down in shame.

” I’m sorry ” She mumbled.

” Nonsense! ” The voice flared up and the whole cave trembled at the momentum of the voice. Gianna whimpered, her body too shivering in tremor.

” How dare she?! ” The voice roared in rage and Gianna couldn’t grip herself anymore. Her knees weakened and she sagged to the ground, laying Melinoe.

” I’m so sorry Master, please don’t kill me, please ” She begged for her life, her tears flowing freely.

” That fool forgot her life was in my hands. I gave her a second chance, something I never do and she still had the guts to betray me?! ”

” Nonsense! ” Gianna let out another whimper.

” Step away from her ” The voice commanded and she jerked, crawling away from Melinoe.

” Melinoe! ” The voice thundered and Melinoe’s eyes snapped open immediately.

” Get up! ” The voice commanded and she sprang up.

” Master ” She bowed.

” You had the guts to go against me Melinoe… after all I did and all because of your mate?! ” Melinoe shuddered in fear.

” I’m sorry, Master. I… didn’t… mean to ” She stuttered.

” Too late, Melinoe. I… don’t… forgive and you know that! ”

” Please, Master, give me…”

Melinoe didn’t finish her words when a sharp, long spear appeared out of God knows where and pierced through her back into her heart before coming out from her chest. The spear had black smoke orbiting around it.

Melinoe’s eyes widened and so did Gianna’s. She gasped, coughing out some blood before dropping to the ground. Another spear appeared and stabbed her straight in the forehead.

” Mom, no!! ” Gianna yelled out in tears and made to rush to her.

” Don’t… take… a step… forward, Cruella ” The voice halted her and she knelt to the floor, breaking down in tears, her head bowed in defeat. The spear on Melinoe’s chest started fading and so did Melinoe, who turned into dust and was whipped by the air. Gianna was crying loudly.

” Tears, Cruella, I hate tears ” The voice breathed out in rage and she stopped crying instantly, sniffing and swallowing back the tears.

” Two days. Two days is all you have to present Axion before me or your death will be way more painful than hers ” Gianna pressed her lips and closed her eyes to hold back the tears threatening to escape, her fist clenched.

” Two days, Cruella, two days! ”

THE NEXT MORNING

Axion was the first to wake up as the rays of the sun glimmered on his face. Slowly, he opened his eyes, yawning lightly. Swears, he had never slept so well and peaceful as he did last night.

Feeling someone’s body pressed on his and his hands wrapped around the person’s body, his eyes widened on seeing it was Phoenix and she was naked, the duvet covering her.

” Holy shit! ” He exclaimed and withdrew his hands.

What the fuck just happened? How did he and Phoenix end up together in bed, naked? When and how?

These questions kept ringing in his head as he tried recalling what might have happened. But sadly, all he could remember was Phoenix in his office, requesting the necklace. Just then,

” Axion ” Phoenix murmured with a smile and slowly opened her eyes. Her smile vanished and her heart skipped on seeing he was awake. She sat up immediately.

Axion looked away snappily as her bare chest came into view. He hurriedly grabbed the towel on the bed and wrapped it around his waist, getting off the bed. Phoenix too covered herself with the duvet, her heart thumping fast.

” What the fuck is this Phoenix? ” Hearing him call his name made Phoenix beam and she let out a happy scoff.

So it worked. He remembers. Last night wasn’t a waste of time.

” Axion ” She called out softly only to receive a glare from Axion whose head was swirling in confusion.

” What happened between us, Phoenix? ” He demanded and the smile on Phoenix’s once again disappeared replaced with a slight frown.

Wait, he doesn’t remember?

” Don’t you remember what happened last night? ”

” I don’t remember anything! ” Axion flared up and she flinched. Seeing the disappointment in her eyes, one thing became obvious to Axion.

” No ” He nodded in incredulity.

” Don’t… tell me we did it last night. We didn’t, right? ” He asked, hoping and praying she will say no. Phoenix looked down to avoid his gaze.

” We did ” She mumbled as her cheeks flushed. Axion could feel a shock in his brain.

” How? ” Was the one question in his head.

” How did it happen, Phoenix? Was I drunk? Did I force myself on you? ” He demanded and Phoenix looked up immediately.

” No, Axion, you weren’t drunk. I did it… willingly ” She chewed on her lower lip in nervousness. Axion ran his hand through his hair in frustration before shooting Phoenix a hard glare, his eyes burning in rage.

” You drugged me, didn’t you? ” He muttered and Phoenix’s eyes broadened immediately.

” Oh, what the heck was Melinoe thinking about going against him? Was she nuts?! ” A feminine voice groaned. Gianna was standing before a lady whose face can’t be seen, tapping her feet nervously on the ground.

” I don’t know what exactly she was thinking and now look what she has done. Damn you, mom! ” She cursed under her breath.

” I don’t know what to do anymore. After 15 fucking years we had finally gotten Axion under our control but she let her lust ruin it all and now, how on earth am I going to present Axion before him in just two freaking days?! ” She yelled, frustrated to the core.Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

” Calm down, Cruella, ” The woman said and Gianna scowled at her.

” I should calm down? ” She scoffed.

” Did you see how he fucking killed Melinoe without even looking back and you’re telling me… to calm down?! ” She half yelled.

” You need to calm down, Cruella, relax ” The woman gingered.

” There is still a way ” She added and Gianna eyed her.

” What way are you talking about? ”

A smirk can be seen forming on the woman’s lips.

” Since you can’t capture Axion on your own, how about we relax and let him come to us himself? ” The woman presented and Gianna frowned deeply, confused.

” What do you mean? ” She demanded.

” I think the time has finally come to reveal to Axion who he truly is. It is time to reveal to him the secret that his mother, Glinda, and even Phoenix had been hiding from him. He deserves to know, doesn’t he? ”

” And how is that going to help us? ”

” When you tell him about the secret, how do you think he will feel? ” The woman asked.

” Broken, angry, enraged, furious, at every being that hid the truth from him. He is going to hate them with everything in him and when that happens?…

Gianna’s pupil dilated and a happy scoff left her lips.

” I will use that opportunity to make him believe that I am the only good guy in his life while the rest are the villains and I will draw him to his doom without him even discerning it ” She grinned evilly.

” Exactly, Cruella, exactly…
