Chapter 793
After hanging up the phone, Ellen relayed the news to Xavier.
"Xavier, Yvie wanted me to tell you not to worry about her. She's safe now, so we don't need to go pick her up from Yenosha."
Xavier frowned heavily, concern written all over his handsome face.
"I can't help but worry, Ellie. I have to make a trip to Yenosha myself! The Shadow Alliance's boss is a real piece of work, and there's also the fact that she's on his territory..."
He had to bring Yvette back himself before he could feel at ease.
Ellen sounded as if she was gloating when she told him, "Xavier, the Shadow Alliance's boss is actually Wilson, so the one who should be worrying his pretty little head over anything is him!"
Wilson had offended his fiancée pretty badly this time, after all! He'd even given up the Shadow Alliance's intercontinental ballistic missile just to make her happy!
Ellen felt excited just thinking about the fact that the Shadow Alliance's newly developed intercontinental ballistic missile would soon belong to the Dark Organization.noveldrama
Not only had they mooched a weapon of mass destruction off the Shadow Alliance, but their former archenemies now had to obey them, the Dark Organization, instead!
It felt so good just thinking about it!
Wilson was actually the Shadow Alliance's boss...
Xavier's pupils shrank slightly at Ellen's words, and his hands that had been hanging at his sides clenched tightly.
"What did you say?"
"I know you're really shocked right now, Xavier. When Yvie told me the news just now, I was too," lamented Ellen. "Who would've expected Xavier to be hiding such a major secret identity!"
Xavier lowered his dark eyes, expression unreadable, making it difficult to guess what he was thinking.
Ellen couldn't bear seeing him like this, but still, she decided to remind him, "Yvie will probably take Wilson to see Mr. Maximilian soon. You should be well aware of what that means, even without me having to say more.
"It's time to let go, Xavier!"
Xavier didn't say a word, but there was a frightening air around him, and his eyes reflected a hint of madness.
He had been watching silently over Yvette for so many years, so how was he supposed to just let go so easily?
If only Wilson didn't exist...
...
The next day, Apollo burst into the Shadow Alliance headquarters, looking anxious.
"Where's the boss? I want to meet him!"
"What has gotten you so anxious, Mr. Galanis?"
Hearing the commotion, Samuel immediately hurried over to investigate. Wilson was still having breakfast with Yvette, so he didn't dare interrupt them at this time.
"I just received the news that the boss ordered us to just hand over our newly developed intercontinental ballistic missile to the Dark Organization free of charge!"
After Apollo had received his punishment the day before yesterday, he had been bedridden for an entire day and had only been discharged that day. He hadn't expected to hear this news right after he returned to headquarters.
"It's not true, right?"
The Dark Organization were their archenemies and should be counting themselves lucky that the Shadow Alliance hadn't used the missile on them! How could their boss just give the Dark Organization the missile for free?
Seeing Apollo's disbelieving expression, Samuel cast him a sympathetic look before telling him, "It's true."
"What?" asked Apollo, his eyes practically bugging out of his head. "But why?"
Why would their boss just give their archenemies such an important weapon? He really couldn't wrap his head around it!
Samuel remained silent.
Well now, how was he going to tactfully break it to Apollo that Wilson had given the missiles away because he was trying to get back in his fiancée's good books?
The more Apollo thought about it, the more unwilling he was to accept the fact. Angrily, he questioned. "Does the Dark Organization even deserve to take our stuff?"
Oh, no...
Samuel broke out into a cold sweat at his blustering. He was just about to stop him from speaking any further, but alas, it was already too late.
"Why would the Dark Organization be undeserving?" Yvette slowly descended the stairs, voice cold.
Apollo answered reflexively without even raising his head, "The Dark Organization has been constantly
standing against us, the Shadowet
Alliance, all these years! I say the first ballistic missile we fire should be aimed at blowing up the Dark Organization headquarters!"
What do you think?
