Chapter 99 I've Fallen In Love With You (Part One)
Chapter 99 I've Fallen In Love With You (Part One)
In that moment, Spencer was like a teenager. It was like he was seventeen all over again. He felt too
nervous to hold hands with a girl.
Clasping her hands together, Fiona was overwhelmed with joy. Spencer had just said that he no longer
liked Celine and that he wanted to live a long and happy life with her.
As she stared at his broad back, Fiona wanted to ask him why he kissed her just then. Although she
thought she understood a bit, she wanted to hear the reason directly from him. After all, she wasn't
sure if her thinking was the same as Spencer's.
"You just..." The nervousness in her throat almost choked her, but she eventually shrugged her
shoulders and gave up. "Ah, forget it!" Since she didn't expect anything from him, she thought she had
no right to ask.
She turned around instead and headed to the piano room.
'What did she want to ask?' Spencer wondered. 'Just ask if you have a question! I will answer you!'
But right then, he could only watch as she walked away.
He immediately followed but ensured that he gave her some space.
Fiona walked faster and faster as he followed helplessly. But then she slowed down and he stopped.
The people who saw them turned their heads, wondering what happened.
Knowing that Spencer was right behind her, Fiona kept her silence. She merely raised her hand to
touch her lips. They still felt hot despite it being cold outside.
She continued walking and reached the piano room, followed by Spencer.
"Aren't you going to have lunch?" she asked with a frown as she sat in front of the piano. "Why are you
following me?"
"I want to listen to you play the piano." Spencer crossed his arms over his chest and sat down. He was
determined to stay with her.
"Looks like someone wants to give me a hard time." Fiona cast a glance at Spencer. Inside, her snarky
remark felt like a lie.
"Just pretend I'm not here," he replied.
"You..."
She was quickly interrupted by the ringing of her phone.
It was a blessing in disguise because she couldn't really come up with a reply to him. She quickly took
out her phone and was surprised to see the message on the screen.
"Happy New Year, Fiona! Take care not to catch a cold given this weather. And save my number. I'm
Charles."
Seeing the strange expression on her face as she read the message, Spencer had a bad feeling. He
walked up to her and grabbed her phone.
"Hey! What are you doing?" Fiona stood up and tried to take back her phone.
But Spencer was already reading the message. Seeing the name of the sender, his face instantly
darkened. With a press of a button, the message was deleted.
"Why did he send you a text message?" He entertained mixed feelings as he looked at Fiona.
"How would I know? It came out of nowhere!" She grabbed the phone from Spencer's hand and
searched for the message. "Where's the text? Why did you delete it?"
"If I didn't, would you save the number?" he asked. "It looks like Charles has plans on you. Just ignore
him! Don't send him a text. Don't even save his number."
"He's my boss," Fiona replied, biting her lower lip.
"So what? I care because he's a man!" Spencer placed his hands over Fiona's shoulders, as if
reclaiming his dominance as her husband. "Listen, Fiona! The next time you send a text to another
man, you'll have to ask for my permission first. And never smile at other men. Should you meet anyone
who tells you he loves you, you must reject him immediately and mercilessly!"
Fiona shuddered. "What do you mean? Why should I ask your permission for anything?"
"Because you're mine. I'm your husband." He blurted out his honest thoughts. "Your body and your
heart must belong to me. I should be the only one in your eyes. I should be the only man who can
accompany you. We're married. That's not going to change."
"What? You..." There was no word to describe how Fiona felt. Everything she thought she knew didn't
make sense. While his words sounded clear, she thought them very confusing.
He reached out and stroked her hair. In a gentle voice, he said, "I think I've fallen in love with you. I
won't let you go, and I don't want other men to take you away. So don't look at other men and stop
saying you hate me.
I want to be with you, Fiona."
The things he just said
completely messed up Fiona's thoughts. She had been thinking a lot about him ever since he kissed
her, but he actually told her he loved her! Spencer loved her! Was it all a dream?
Spencer felt a sense of relief after he declared his love. He pulled her in his arms and gently held her,
feeling her heartbeat sync with his.
It was everything he had always wanted.
They remained in that dream-like scene for a while until Spencer noticed that his man was looking for Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.
him outside the piano room. He look at Fiona and said, "I'm sorry. I have to attend a meeting now. But
I'll be right back."
He turned around and was about to leave, but a thought occurred to him before he could take more
than two steps. He turned back to Fiona, bent down, and kissed her on the cheek. "Wait for me."
He then turned and walked out of the piano room, leaving a dazed Fiona. Spencer felt so excited that
he thought he was going crazy! He couldn't stop smiling.
Inside the piano room, Fiona stood frozen where Spencer had left her.
'Was that a confession of love? Or was it more like an overbearing vow?' Spencer didn't even give her
the chance to respond.
But she couldn't deny that she was thrilled.
Fiona sat down in front of the piano and thoughtlessly played random keys.
The loud noise surprised and frightened her.
"Get a grip, Fiona. Don't cloud your thoughts by overthinking." Fiona tried her best to suppress her
overflowing joy by taking a few deep breaths. Positioning her fingers on the ivory keys, she got ready to
play a beautiful melody to relax. But her mood was so ecstatic that she couldn't focus entirely on
playing. She made a few mistakes as her fingers roamed over the keys.
Annoyed, Fiona put the lid down with a loud bang
and merely sat in front of the instrument.
She thought that her mind had blanked but it was actually the complete opposite. Her head kept
replaying the scene that just happened, making her face feel a little hot.
"I think I've fallen in love with you."
"The next time you send a text to another man, you'll have to ask for my permission first. And never
smile at other men. Should you meet anyone who tells you he loves you, you must reject him
immediately and mercilessly!"
His words echoed in her mind like a magic spell. The touch of his lips on her cheek felt so clear.
Overcome with panic, she grabbed her phone and dialed Sophia's number. There was no way she
could handle this by herself!
The phone rang a few times
before the call was picked up.
"Hello? Who's this?" Sophia yawned as she spoke.
