Chapter 110 A Surprise For Spencer (Part One)
Chapter 110 A Surprise For Spencer (Part One)
Sophia went back to the company with Jason. She searched everywhere for Fiona but couldn't find her,
so she called her to ask her why she had left work so early. After hearing the reason Fiona had left, she
banged the table and yelled, "I'm not going to work here either!"
Fiona was lying on her couch when Sophia called. "Don't do anything rash."
"I'm not. I'm just pissed off! I should have known he would do something like that. What an asshole!
Charles is a bad man. He's so disgusting. I can't believe that he wants to sleep with you even though
he has so many girlfriends," Sophia said angrily. "Fiona, it's best you stay at home for a while."
"Yes, I need to avoid dealing with him, but I can't stay at home all the time." Fiona's lips curled into a
shy smile as she looked at her computer screen. "I'm going out tomorrow."
"What? Why? Where?" Sophia asked worriedly.
"Hmm... I'll keep it a secret for now," Fiona said.
"Then go. But be careful!" Sophia cautioned her.
"I will," she assured Sophia. Then, after thinking for a while, she asked, "Do you like working there?"
"No, I don't." Sophia took this opportunity to rant. "Guess what? I went to meet a client today. The
woman is a fat swine who looked down on me and insulted me. As if that wasn't enough, Jason yelled
at me as soon as I got back. I hate this job. I have no plans to work here anymore."
"I hope what I told you doesn't affect your work and your relationship with the Wen family."
"Did Charles' actions change the way you feel about Ryan? Do you think they're the same?" Sophia
questioned.
"What? Of course not," Fiona said without a second thought.
"Okay. Anyway, don't worry about me. I'm just concerned about this issue with Charles. Well, it's all
your fault, Fiona. You are too pretty!"
"Are you really blaming me?" Fiona giggled. "Sophia, you're gorgeous too."
"Well, right!" Sophia accepted her compliment with a shy smile. "Is George still working with your
husband?"
Upon hearing Sophia mention the word "husband," Fiona flushed red and timidly played with the
tassels on the sofa cover. "He's gone back to P City."
"What a pity! When can I meet him?" And then, without leaving any room for Fiona to answer, Sophia
asked, "Fiona, what did he look like when he was young? I'm curious!"
"Haven't I told you enough already?"
"How is that enough?"
"I was too young back then. There isn't much I remember."
"Did you two ever play the wedding game? You know, where he played the groom and you played the
bride?" Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
"Well... I don't think so," Fiona said in a thoughtful voice.
"Fiona! I will kill you if you played that game with my George!"
"No! Of course not!" Fiona giggled.
"Good girl!" Sophia smiled and then said in a serious voice, "I miss you so much, Fiona."
"Why do you miss me out of nowhere? We just met this morning."
"Maybe it's because we're going to different places for the holidays. I won't be seeing you for a long
time..." Sophia stopped mid-sentence and quickly changed her words. "Anyway, I shouldn't jinx it. Of
course we'll meet again, Fiona. I was just speaking nonsense. Please don't mind me!"
Fiona smiled. "No, I understand. I'll miss you too. I'm glad that you're thinking of me! Anyway, have you
reviewed your homework? We have an exam on Monday! Be sure to prepare."
Sophia smiled. "I'm not scared of the exam since you'll be there. I'll be waiting for you outside our exam
hall on Monday!"
"All right."
"Well, I'll see you then!"
"Yeah! I'll see you too!" Fiona couldn't help but smile as she thought of Sophia.
"It's pretty late now. Get some rest!"
"You too, Sophia."
They wished each other goodnight and hung up. Then, Fiona looked at the design software that was
open on her computer screen. In the middle of the screen was the necklace of a maple leaf, designed
and ready.
At that moment, something occurred to Fiona, and she immediately reached for her phone and dialed
Terence's number.
Terence picked up the call on the second ring, and his attractive voice came through the speaker.
"You're still awake? What's up?" Terence asked with a hint of concern.
"Terence, you didn't sleep yet?" Fiona held her phone tightly, feeling nervous. Asking for help always
made her feel awkward.
"Yep. I'm still awake." Terence sounded as if he were smiling.
"Are you free tomorrow?" she asked tentatively.
"Yes." She was surprised by his curt reply.
"Aren't you going to ask me what's the matter?" she asked.
"No, as long as it's something I can do." Terence chuckled after saying that. "Anyway, if I help you, it
means that Spencer will owe me a favor."
"No! Don't tell him about it! You're doing this for me, so I'm the one who will owe you. You can ask me
for a favor anytime," Fiona said hurriedly.
"Is that so?" Terence was curious. "What's the big secret that we're keeping from Spencer?"
"Nothing too serious..." Fiona trailed off, not sure how to tell him about it.
As soon as Terence heard her,
he burst into laughter.
"Perhaps you don't know this, but your husband is super possessive of you. If he ever hears that I meet
you alone, he will get super jealous. He won't show it in front of you, but he will surely question me and
threaten me."
Fiona blushed, feeling embarrassed. "So... are you free tomorrow?"
"Yes, of course. I am ready to put my life on the line to meet you. I'll pick you up tomorrow morning."
Fiona exhaled in relief. "Thank you, Terence." She couldn't think of anyone she could turn to for help
except Terence.
The next morning, the sun was bright but the air was cold. Fiona ran downstairs wearing a thick jacket
and saw Terence waiting for her, leaning against his sports car. He looked casual yet handsome.
All the young girls were looking at him as they walked past.
"Terence!" Fiona ran up to him. "How long have you been waiting here?"
"I just got here." Terence gave her a warm grin that looked like it could melt the snow beneath him. The
girls gasped when they saw his smile.
"You are so popular," Fiona joked.
"Not as popular as you are." Terence smiled and opened the door for her like a gentleman. "Get in."
"Thank you."
After getting into the car, they drove out of the community and into the traffic.
As soon as they left, two people emerged from the bushes. Watching Terence go out with Fiona, one of
them said, "Mr. He has gone out with Mrs. Cheng. I think it's a special situation."
"Yes, it is! Mr. Cheng warned us that if any male comes within one meter's distance of Mrs. Cheng, it
ought to be reported to him. We must inform him right away." "Well,
