Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 466

Chapter 466

Anya sat sandwiched between the two women.

Molly scrutinized Anya’s face. “Goodness, your skin is as smooth as a baby’s!”

She had initially misconstrued Anya’s relationship with Andre and nearly went off on her, but Anya was

obviously so naive.

Anya pursed her lips, turning to look at Mia. She had heard that Mia was a hard-nosed woman, quick-

tempered and a brawler. She also had heard she was well-behaved, lively, and adorable. Then Andre

told her that she was a playful, spoiled little girl. However, she felt that this woman, her aunt, seemed

quite gentle.

“Auntie, may I touch your belly?” Anya asked.

“Of course,” Mia replied generously. She opened her arms, letting Anya’s hand rest on her belly and

gently caress it. “The baby was quite active just a while ago, but it seems like he’s taking a nap now.”

Anya laid her hand on Mia’s belly, careful not to press too hard, tenderly feeling the life within.

“Where’s Leo?” Andre was the first to notice the birthday boy was missing.

The forgotten Leo, standing at the foot of the stairs, finally caught the family’s attention.

Naomi called her son over.

Leo trudged over reluctantly. Taking a seat next to Molly, he sat in the spot Chad had vacated.

Naomi asked her son with a smile, “Do you remember Anya?”

He had noticed her the moment she stepped through the door. She was the girl who lost the fight and

got whisked away in the middle of the night. She was pleasant to the eye but of no use.

“Nope, can’t recall.” Leo said.

Anya glanced at Leo from across Molly. She didn’t remember him either.

Naomi laughed, “Leo, you once saved Anya when you guys were kids. Don’t you remember?”

Mia and Molly’s eyebrows shot up in unison. Their eyes were twinkling with interest. Gossip concerning

their friends was always a sure-fire way to pique their curiosity!

Mia, being the most curious, asked excitedly, “Naomi, tell us about this life-saving incident.”

Leo was puzzled. When had he ever played the hero and saved someone?

Anya also looked bewildered. When had she ever been in danger?

Naomi saw that everyone had forgotten, but she remembered it clearly. “When you were seven, I took

you to a dinner party at Anya’s home. You rescued a little girl from drowning in the pool. That little girl

was Anya.”

Mia and Molly turned their heads to look at Leo simultaneously. “Well, look at you, Leo. Saving lives at

seven.”

Leo furrowed his brow, trying to recall.

Naomi jogged his memory again, “The chubby little girl, don’t you remember?”

“Oh! It’s her!” Leo suddenly remembered.

He jumped up from the couch, pointing at Anya, who was sitting innocently in the middle. “You’re that

chubby little girl who was playing by the pool. Then you fell in, and started screaming that you were

drowning even though the water only reached your waist!”

He had thought someone was actually drowning and jumped in to save her. However, she was so

chubby that he couldn’t lift her and ended up falling in himself. When he got home, his parents teased

him about it for days.

Anya blinked, “You’re Little Leo!”

He was the boy who had scorned her for being fat, saying he couldn’t lift her. However, his disdain had

become her motivation to lose weight.

Mr. Calder doted on his daughter, Anya. When she was young, he would feed her all sorts of delicious

food, which resulted in her becoming quite chubby at a young age. During the pool incident, the boy

who had attempted to rescue her was handsome and well-dressed, just like the prince in her fairy tales.

boy started calling her “Chubby Anya”.

And every time her father tried to feed her something, her mother would say, “Did you forget the name

Little Leo gave you, Chubby Anya?”

No matter how much Anya craved the food, she would resist and not eat. Every time she was tempted

to have a snack, her mother would appear and say, “Did you forget Little Leo called you Chubby

Anya?” And Anya would lose her appetite.

Gradually, her weight returned to normal. Every time she wanted to indulge in something, eat too much,

a phrase would automatically pop into her mind: Little Leo called her a chubby girl.

It turned out that the “Prince” from that year was the boy in front of her, today’s birthday boy.

Anya looked at Leo, standing up with a smile. “Little Leo, I’m not fat anymore.”

Mia and Molly exchanged glances, both wearing mischievous grins. Andre and Chad, the two men

observing their women, could tell instantly what their beloveds were plotting!

Leo retorted, “If you’re not fat, then I won’t have to save you.”

Molly facepalmed. Her clueless nephew was hopeless.

Anya observed Leo’s face, tilting her head as she studied the boy who had clear, bright eyes,

handsome, sharp features, a high nose, and a heroic aura about him. He really did resemble the prince

from her childhood fairy tales.

“Little Leo, happy birthday.”

Leo felt goosebumps all over. “Just call me Leo, not Little Leo. It’s too nauseating.”

Mia muttered under her breath, “Damn, this kid is brutally clueless! Even more so than my husband!”

She and Molly exchanged glances, and Molly got the hint. Molly turned to Chad. Her voice was sweet

and cute, “Chad.”

Chad’s face broke into a doting smile. His happiness was obvious. He responded with a simple, “Yes?”

Molly turned back to her nephew. “See that? That’s how we do it. Anya calling you Little Leo is just

politeness, you dummy.”

“Fake,” Leo muttered.

Mia immediately turned to her husband, acting pitiful, “Honey, I can’t peel this orange, but I want to eat

it.”

Andre, too, was smitten by his wife’s charm. He picked up an orange from the table and began peeling

it.

Leo couldn’t stand it any longer. “Drama queen.”

Then it was Molly’s turn to put on a show. “Chad, how could you eat an orange? It must hurt the orange

so much.”

Leo cursed under his breath, “Damn, that’s sickening.”

Immediately, the living room erupted in laughter.

Although it was Leo’s birthday, everyone seemed to be teasing him.

“Exactly,” Molly chimed in.

Soon, it was mealtime.

Hansen rose, leading the way to the dining room with everyone following suit.

To ensure that Anya didn’t feel left out, Mia and Molly always saved a spot for her wherever they went.
