No one could have predicted that Tom would suddenly turn his attention to Ellory, who was barely
holding on in the hospital. It was easy for Tom to steal a doctor’s white coat, and with a mask and cap,

Andre turned around, picked up the phone on the cabinet and answered, “Hello, Chad.”
“Is Ellory dead yet?”
Andre glanced at his wife in his arms. “I’ll call you back in three minutes.”

“You go ahead. I’m going to sleep,” Mia said with a smile.
Andre said, “You absolutely must sleep.”
Mia raised her hand in a pledge. “I really will sleep.”
“If you don’t do, you’ll gain ten pounds.”
After threatening his wife, Andre left the break room and returned to his office to call Chad back, “Why
bring up Ellory out of the blue?”
“Tom has shown up!”

Jack, in the hospital, was once again detained by the police. “Why are you arresting me?” Jack
questioned Chad. “I merely reported a crime. You should be going after the murderer, Andre.”
Chad replied, “Firstly, Ellory isn’t dead. You made a false police report, which is illegal. Secondly, Tom
is a wanted guy. You saw him and didn’t report it, instead letting him escape the law. I suspect that you
were his accomplice while he was on the run. You need to cooperate with our investigation. If the
situation is severe, you will face criminal charges.”
“I didn’t!”
Chad ignored Jack’s protestations. “Once you’ve recovered, reflect on your actions in jail.”
“Chad, you’re using your position for personal revenge. You’re framing me. I’m going to sue you!” Jack

Chad had the door closed behind him and he glanced at the hospital room. “Idiot!” Jack was used
without even realizing it.
Chad met with Andre at a familiar café.
“Where’s Mia?”
“She’s sleeping at the office. Tell me what’s happening with Tom.”
The two men spent the afternoon in the café discussing Tom. When Molly called to have Chad pick her
up from school, Chad ended their meeting. “I’m going to pick up Molly from school. Once again, Mr.
Rodrigo’s life was saved thanks to their unintentional help.”
Andre nodded. Who would have thought that their precaution against the three kids would inadvertently
help them out? They were indeed the lucky stars of the Cedillo family.
Upon returning to the office, Andre found Mia obediently asleep. He took a look and gently closed the
door.
