Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1281

Manager Mason was floored when he saw the tiny tot in the CEO's arms and then glanced over at Andre, his disbelief evident. "Andre, did Henry really decide to try rock climbing today?"

Andre nodded, bending down to set his little guy on the mat. "Go on, give it a shot."

Henry looked around, completely baffled, as some kids were already scaling the

walls like pros.

Turning back, Henry's little hands latched onto his dad's leg, the picture of a clingy kid.

Andre chuckled, picking up his son and placing him at the base of an easy slope, hoping to put a little scare into him about climbing.

Andre's plan was straightforward: give his son a little fright to keep him from climbing recklessly in the future.

But...

That afternoon, while chilling at home, Mrs. Cedillo called her husband, "Hey, babe, where are you? Are we having dinner at your place, mine, or are we just staying home?"

Andre's household was the Cedillo family.

Mia's household was the Irvin family.

Their homes were nestled in Maplewood Estates.noveldrama

Andre watched his son, now totally engrossed in climbing, refusing to come down.

What was meant to be a lesson had turned into Henry finding pure joy in it.

"We're at the climbing gym, and... I don't think we're making it to dinner."

"Why?" Mia perked up.

Andre glanced at his son, lost in the beginner's area, "Can't pry him away."

"Send me the address."

Half an hour later, Mrs. Cedillo showed up at the climbing gym.

All the adults were ready to head home for dinner, except for their two-year-old, who was stubbornly climbing higher. Whenever he got thirsty, he'd holler for his dad to bring him water, which meant Andre had to cater to his little champ.

Mia, arms crossed, walked over to her husband. "Henry, Mommy's here."

With a quick release, Henry was safely in Andre's grasp, who held the rope, letting his son enjoy a couple of gentle swings before setting him down.

Henry wasn't thrilled with the actual climbing; he loved the safety-first vibe of the beginner's area. But he was hooked on the thrill. Floating in the air, he was as happy as a fish in water.

The gym's manager complimented, "Henry's got guts and a strong core. He'd do well in swimming."

Mia grinned, "Swimming? He's already got skateboarding down at our place."

Henry, drenched and a little sweaty, dashed to his mom. "Mommy, Daddy and I went way up high!"

Mia knelt, wiping his sweat. "Daddy brought you here to climb? Did you have fun?"

Henry nodded, "So much fun!"

Mia smiled, "Alright, three more climbs, then it's dinner time. If you don't listen, Daddy might spank, and Mommy's not stepping in."

Henry's little face scrunched up, not thrilled, but he got the gist.

As the kid went back to play, Mia asked her husband, "Honey, why'd you bring him here, of all places?"

Andre sighed, a bit exasperated, "It was supposed to be a lesson." Instead, it turned into him discovering a new passion.

When Henry struggled with a grip, Andre handed the rope to the manager and went to guide his son's tiny hands. "Reverse grip, hold tight down here. Test your footing to make sure it's solid before stepping; if it shifts, don't step."
