Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1199

Mom was buried in her studies, while little Henry, with his pudgy cheeks, snuggled in her arms, fast asleep. Mia let her hair hang loose, allowing it to dry naturally.

Andre walked over and gently lifted their chubby son from Mia's arms. He looked at his focused wife and said, "Mia, now I get why you aced that Havenbrook University entrance exam."

"Really?" she replied, surprised.

Andre playfully tousled her hair. "Go dry your hair; it's getting chilly, and you'll catch a cold if you don't. I'll tuck Henry into his bed."

Henry snoozed peacefully through the night, with his dad sitting by the bed, watching him with a smile. After a while, Andre leaned down and gave his son a soft kiss on the cheek. "You little rascal, Daddy loves you."

Elsewhere, Greg lay helpless on the ground, unable to move, his face ghostly pale and lips drained of color. A few days later, some people suddenly showed up, and just like that, he was gone.

When Greg came to, he found himself in a suburban courtyard, looking at a man meditating nearby. His wounds had been bandaged, and he weakly murmured, "Kon, master."

The meditating man opened his eyes, "You're awake."

Kon looked at Greg, who had become useless to him, especially after losing so many people because of him, all for nothing. Kon's eyes showed no warmth, just a flicker of anger, which Greg could sense. He still couldn't figure out why he'd been exposed and caught. He'd been the Dark Web's mole in Havenbrook, gathering secret info to sell on the Dark Web.

Then, for some reason, the Dark Web switched gears, sending him to infiltrate Cedillo Inc., trying to win Andre's trust and act as an undercover agent.

The night before new employee orientation, out of nowhere, the police stormed in and arrested him. Those who knew him seemed to vanish without a trace.

Sentenced to life in prison, he was being transported when Dark Web agents rescued him. But then, they were ambushed by another group. "It's Conner," they said.

Kon eyed the discarded pawn. "Are you sure it's him?"

"I hacked into the Nettleton family's system. It's definitely him. His men trapped us and captured us. My limbs, gone, all thanks to him. The sniper blinded by Conner; the escape artist, doomed to a

wheelchair... And Andre? Nowhere in

sight. But!"

Greg, weakly and with pale lips, looked at Kon, "I heard the words 'The Silent Ring.""

Kon's eyes narrowed. His assassin had been trying to infiltrate The Silent Ring but had never uncovered the true leader. "Who could it be?"noveldrama

Greg shook his head. "Conner seems to know that place like the back of his hand."

Kon pondered, "Could it be Mars? Nah, he's not ambitious enough."

Meanwhile, over at the Arrowood household, Mars sneezed three times while dealing with his dad's relentless pressure to get hitched.

"Who's badmouthing me now?" he grumbled.

Roberto slapped the newspaper shut at the dining table, clearly annoyed. "You're nearly thirty and still goofing off with Andre. What have you got to show for it? You're always so carefree. I'm not asking you to make millions, but can't you at least leave something behind for the Arrowood family?"
