Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Leo watched his excitement, let out a small chuckle, then shut the door and flopped onto the bed for some shut-eye.

A loud shout jolted him awake, and sleep was no longer an option. So, he got up, checked the weather, threw on some clothes, grabbed the first draft of his paper, and headed to the university.

After meeting with his professor and making just a few tweaks based on the feedback, Leo hung around outside the academic building, waiting for his girlfriend.

By noon, Anya strolled out, mid-yawn, clearly worn out from her morning classes.

Leo snapped another candid of her, "Ms. Anya."

Anya perked up at the sound of his voice, "Chad!"

Her tiredness vanished, and she dashed over to the passenger seat. "Chad, what brings you here?"

"Do you have classes this afternoon?"

Anya nodded, "Yeah, gym class during the fifth and sixth periods."

Leo grinned, "I'll take you out for lunch. I'll be waiting here in the car after your class, and then we can go check out some houses."

"Already? Isn't it a bit soon?"

Leo broke it down for her, "Our lease is up next month. Finding a place, getting it furnished... it takes time. Plus, once the national exam results are out, I'll be tied up with postgrad interviews and thesis prep. We're on a tight schedule, my love."

Anya felt a warm, fuzzy feeling inside. "Alright then, Chad, let's eat off-campus."

"Let's hit the road."

In the afternoon, while Anya was stuck in class, Leo was busy browsing housing options in his car and even got in touch with a real estate agent. His top priority was, "A big kitchen, close to Havenbrook University."

Meanwhile, Tony dropped some exciting news in their group chat. After seeing the contract, he was so excited that his legs were practically doing the cha-cha, "Did I actually get it? You're not making me wait for a final call?"

The interviewer gave a warm smile, "We're very happy with you. If you want some time to think it over before signing, feel free."

"No, no, I don't need time. I'm just worried you might change your minds."

"That's not going to happen. You really match what we're looking for." The interviewer's gentle, wise, and graceful manner lit up Tony's heart. "Your dedication in the video you sent us was clear. Our boss caught it on TV and was really impressed."

After signing, Tony shook hands all around, "Thank you, sir. I really appreciate this opportunity."

Overcome with emotion, Tony found himself tearing up right at the door.

He called Leo, "Leo, thank you so much. I know it was you."

Leo's laughter was infectious, "Why the tears? You've got the contract. But just so you know, the pay isn't all that great with this company."

"I knew it was you. You asked for my video last night, sent it over, and even got it on the boss's TV. Only you could pull that off. I'm so grateful."

Leo played it down a bit, "What are you saying? just helped out with the submission. I don't have the

anyone's TV. Now stop the waterworks and go share the good news with your family."

"How about dinner tonight? I really want to thank you properly. Meeting you guys has been such a blessing."

Leo spotted his girlfriend running over, "Let's do it some other time. I'm spending today with the missus." Anya hopped in the car just as Leo ended the call. "Chad, who was that?"

"Tony. He just signed with the film company he's been dreaming about. He's over the moon."

Anya pouted playfully, "I knew you were up to something with those mysterious codes the other night. So it was for him.'noveldrama
