Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1012

Leo grinned, "Think I could toss him out?"

That evening, they headed to the seafood market. Three women settled at a table up front, while their partners took a seat behind them. Whenever a boozy local tried to charm the ladies with tales of the town, the men quickly scooted over to join the conversation. "What do you guys do?" someone asked.

"We're just sharing a table," they replied.

Yet, somehow, the men's arms ended up draped around the women's shoulders. With the intruder being a tanked-up brute, the women quietly leaned into their husbands or partners for comfort.

Drunks aren't exactly known for being rational. This one attempted to crash their table, but Mia swiftly turned to Andre, "Honey, I'm craving lobster."

Molly, quick on her feet, reached into Chad's pocket and pulled out his badge, slapping it on the table, "Can you read?"

The drunk squinted at the badge, reading each word until he hit "Police." Suddenly, he stumbled back, feigning confusion as he and his buddies made a hasty retreat.

Unfazed, Andre grabbed the menu and ordered, "Lobster, sea fish, fried noodles... and five crabs."

Molly chimed in, "Andre, you don't eat crabs? Order another one, I'll eat it for you."

Andre shot a glance at his sister, closed the menu, and passed it to the waiter.

Mia added, "It's you who can't eat it."

"How do you know I can't?"

Mia nodded at the little bundle in her arms. Being seasoned parents, they knew what was off-limits for pregnant women.

Once the seafood and main courses were ordered, the group of six adults and one little bundle finally settled down for a proper meal. When Andre returned from paying the bill, he had a bottle of coconut milk for his wife. But before she could take it, their little boy, Henry, had already reached out for it.

He eagerly tore open the package and started sipping away. Before long, the food arrived, and Henry wasted no time reaching for a big crab. Unfortunately, he got pricked and burst into tears, running straight into his dad's arms for comfort.

Leo couldn't resist a quip, "We barely have any time left, and Ms. Anya will be taking him home soon. Yet you insisted on bringing him out. If it weren't for family, our friendship

would've been toast ages ago."

Mia tossed a crab at him, "Just eat."

Chad was busy picking out fish for Molly, watching her eat like he was the one enjoying it.

"Think I can fill up just by watching?" Molly teased.

"Absolutely," Chad replied.

Jade's eyes were locked on the big crab. She reached for it, "Then I'll eat for you, and you can watch me get full."

But her hand got a gentle slap, "Chad!"novelbin

Chad, holding the crab, placed it in front of Henry, "I'm with you, buddy; I won't eat it either."

"You won't eat it and won't let me eat it. Stop staring at me while I eat." Molly, holding her bowl, took a bite of noodles, then placed a chopstick-full in Chad's bowl.

Andre was busy peeling lobster for

Mia, placing the juicy meat on her

plate. Henry watched, licking his lips.

Soon, Andre started on a crab,

adding the meat to Mia's plate.

Frustrated, Henry tried to slap the table, but ended up hurting his hand, leading to another round of tears.

Andre fed Henry a few bites of meat, finally calming the little one.

Mia, noticing her husband hadn't touched his food, took some veggies and meat from her bowl and placed them on his plate, "I was saving it for Henry." When Henry reached out, Mia cleared her throat, "Ahem."
