The butler was panting when he said, “Bad news, Mr. Xavier! Mr. Fairchild has returned! He had a gun in his hand, and he shot Mr. Nate! I bet it was hidden all this while. There were two gunshots just now, so maybe one of the bullets ended up in the hornet’s nest.
