Shrouded Affections Winning Back My CEO Wife

Chapter 999

Chapter 999:

It seemed to her now that Eileen had just been pretending to bargain with her earlier. She didn’t know which version of Eileen was the real Eileen.

Without warning, Eileen suddenly grabbed a pillow and threw it at Bryan, hitting him square in the face. Bryan caught the pillow. While it concealed his face from everyone else, his expression darkened. Eileen really loved putting on an act like this, huh? He would definitely get back at her later for this!

Eileen turned back to Chana, a triumphant glint in her eyes.

“See that, Mrs. Brown? He wouldn’t dare object to me. We can freely discuss the matter about me marrying into the Brown family.”

Eileen plastered a sweet smile on her face and continued speaking to Chana.

The topic of their conversation shifted from politics to business.

Eileen wanted Chana to leverage her political connections to benefit EB Group and Apex Group. She left it at that, making herself appear greedy, ungrateful, and selfish.

Chana had come prepared for anything, even considering dragging Eileen out of the Vazquez family mansion kicking and screaming if necessary. But she had never expected Eileen to be so eager to join her family. Eileen even seemed reluctant when she saw her off.

“Mrs. Brown, won’t you stay for lunch?” Eileen asked, her voice dripping with false sincerity. “We haven’t quite finished our little chat, have we?”

“That’s all I want to discuss for now. I’ll need some time to think about the matter.” Chana bent down and slid into the waiting car.noveldrama

Just as she was about to close the door, Eileen’s hand shot out, stopping her.

“Grandma told me that my marriage to Benicio was decided long ago,” Eileen said, her voice urgent. “I’ve been away for years, but now, I’m back. You are the one who sought me out. Why do you still need time to think about the matter?” Eileen leaned in, gripping the door handle tightly. She looked like she was worried that if Chana drove away, her chance to worm her way into the Brown family would vanish.

Chana was clearly resigned, but she kept her composure.

“Marriage isn’t something to rush into. We need to think it through carefully. You and Benicio haven’t even met yet—”

“Oh, I almost forgot about that!” Eileen interjected. “When are you going to let me meet Benicio?”

Chana was speechless for a moment. Then, she said, “I’ll arrange it.” Chana quickly slammed the door shut, and the driver sped off.

Eileen watched the car disappear. Then, she sneered, “If you’re not scared of me taking over your precious Brown family, go ahead and try to let me marry your son!”

“Eileen, what did they say?” Leyla rushed out as soon as she saw that Chana and the others were gone.

“Relax. They’re not rushing into this marriage thing. I told you not to worry,” Eileen said with a smile, leading Leyla back to the courtyard.

Leyla was pleased to hear that.

“I knew you could do it, Eileen!”

Just then, Leyla spotted Bryan leaning against the doorframe, cigarette dangling from his lips, acting like his arm was broken. He turned to look at them.
