Chapter 891
Chapter 891:
Being trapped in the Vazquez Mansion for so long had taken a toll on Leyla, and it broke Eileen’s heart.noveldrama
Ever since Eileen disappeared as a child, her mother had been in no condition to work. Leyla, being old, could only watch helplessly as Conroy took control of the Vazquez Group.
Leyla had been juggling so much—protecting Eileen’s mother, searching for Eileen, and keeping an eye on Conroy. It had worn her down. Leyla knew how to pick her battles. When Eileen’s mother was in her right mind, Leyla knew that confronting Conroy directly would only make matters worse. That was why she had endured his treatment for so many years. But now, after all this time, her revenge was going to be epic. She would take down Conroy and Gianna once and for all.
“Okay, Grandma. Their wedding is done. I’ll handle the rest. You just focus on keeping Gabriela safe and having my back,” Eileen said.
Leyla smiled. “Alright, I’ll use this time to teach you everything I know!”
Eileen then shared some funny stories about Gabriela with Leyla, lightening the mood.
As they talked, Eileen drifted off to sleep. In the darkness, Leyla’s eyes gleamed with anticipation. She had waited so long for her revenge. The closer it got, the more excited she became. She couldn’t sleep at all.
Conroy and Gianna’s wedding was set to take place at the Vazquez Mansion, and the servants were very busy preparing. It was going to be a massive, over-the-top affair, with a guest list a mile long.
Some distant relatives of the Vazquez family occasionally dropped by to help, convinced that Conroy and Gianna had complete control of the Vazquez family now. After all, whenever they visited, it was Conroy and Gianna who greeted them, flanked by a small army of bodyguards. They assumed all the bodyguards were there to protect Conroy and Gianna.

The gossip mill was working overtime. Some even whispered that after Conroy and Gianna got married, Leyla would die soon. Some said Leyla would be buried alive—or worse.
Clearly, they believed Leyla was completely controlled by Conroy and Gianna. As for Eileen, they didn’t take her seriously at all. They gossiped about her, thinking she was living the good life because she had caved to Conroy and Gianna. Eileen was tired of their gossip, but she had no choice but to listen, since she didn’t want to spend time with Bryan and endure his “harassment.”
Finally, the day of Conroy and Gianna’s wedding arrived. Guests poured in from the early morning. Leyla made a grand entrance in her wheelchair, decked out in a fancy gown.
She was busy greeting everyone. Behind her, Eileen pushed the wheelchair, her constant smiling making her face hurt.
Trailing behind Eileen was Bryan, impeccably suited, holding Gabriela, who was dressed like a princess. The crowd recognized Bryan but assumed he was simply there for Conroy. Warm greetings were exchanged, along with gushing compliments about how perfect a match Conroy and Gianna made.
The guests were all under the impression that Conroy was close to Bryan, so flattering Conroy in front of Bryan seemed like a good way for them to get closer to him. Bryan’s gaze was icy, his expression distant. He had little interest in these people. His eyes lingered on Eileen ahead, her elegant figure standing out. His mood was somber.
For two agonizing days, Eileen had been staying in Leyla’s room, leaving Bryan completely shut out.
