When Joanna pushed the door to Room 999 open, there was no one inside.
Her bodyguard asked, “Miss, is M a reliable man?
She glared at the bodyguard and said, “Of course he is!”
This was the man who could help her find the Showdrop. Whoever said he was unreliable, she’d be the first to call them out.
Joanna sat on the couch and took her phone. She messaged Winston excitedly.
“Win, I’ve found the Snowdrop without your help!”
After she finished, Joanna switched off her phone and waited excitedly.
At eight, Joanna stood up and got ready to welcome M. Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
He seldom showed his face in public. Wasn’t it her pride and joy to meet him?
Joanna smiled and paced.
Time trickled by. However, she didn’t see M even though it was past eight.
“Miss, hasn’t M come?”
Joanna bit her lip. She was feeling nervous as well. However, for the Snowdrop, she mumbled,” Perhaps he’s too busy. Let’s wait a while longer.”
The bodyguard nodded and went out.
Joanna thought for a moment and picked up her phone to log into a link her subordinates had sent.
Inside was her conversation with M.
Joanna messaged him and asked, “M, have you set out? I’m waiting for you in Room 999. We’re in no hurry. If you’re busy, I can wait!”
After the message was sent, Joanna felt rather apprehensive.
She hoped she could get the Snowdrop by tonight with all her heart.
In the room beside, Joanna crossed her legs and sat on the couch..Looking at L’s message, scorn flashed across her eyes.
Millie replied, “There’s been a jam. I’m arriving in around 20 minutes.”
They replied quickly, “No need to hurry! I’ll be waiting for you no matter what time you come?”
Millie didn’t reply. Rather, she began gaming on her phone.
Joanna continued pacing.
20 minutes had passed but there was no sign of M.
However, Joanna was too shy to continue asking. She could only continue waiting silently. Time ticked by. At nine, her bodyguard became restless.
“Miss, the person you’re meeting still hasn’t come yet?”
Joanna looked at her phone with a frown. How had he no concept of time?
One and a half hours had passed from their meeting time.
Was he coming or not? Why wouldn’t he send her a message to inform her?
Millie heard the bodyguard’s question. She opened their chat and messaged Joanna, “I’m almost here.
Joanna’s fury was extinguished by this message
“He’s coming!
“Miss, he’s not a liar, is he?” Her bodyguard was rather concerned.
“What are you talking about? This is disrespectful to M! Get out!”
M wasn’t a liar!
Joanna continued waiting patiently.
At eleven, Joanna couldn’t stand it and asked him when he was arriving. There was no response.
However, the waiter brought two fruit platters.
He said, “Miss, M asked me to pass this to you. He sends his apologies. His car broke down and is waiting for repair.”
Although Joanna was impatient, she was willing to wait, since he knew to send a fruit platter.
At twelve thirty, Joanna was dozing off on the couch.
The bodyguard opened the door, about to say something, when Joanna took her phone and shouted, This liar deserves to die!”
“Miss, are you alright?”
“Alright? I sure as hell am not!” Joanna threw her phone on the couch. Anger made her face flushed.
She asked M why he hadn’t come.
In the end, he replied, “After my car was repaired, we realized that the rain was too heavy. So, we went back. We can’t come today!”
