Millie removed her makeup on the way back. She didn't expect to be recognized so late.

"You must be Millie Caldwell, the one who Winston Greer dumped!" He suddenly laughed loudly.

Millie was upset at his words. She sneered, "How can you be so sure that it was Winston who broke up with me and not the other way around?" He replied confidently, "Women are simply men's companions. Do you truly believe that a man of Winston's status will love you for many years?"

He continued to talk, appearing quite sober, "Even though he loves Joanna now, he might fall for Josie and Josephine in the future. Do you understand?" However, Millie had no interest in engaging in idle conversation with him. They were complete strangers, and he was clearly drunk. She firmly pushed him aside. "Hey! Do you want to have a one-night stand?" he suddenly asked with a smile.

Millie chuckled. She looked at the bearded man with disdain, as if mocking him for being unworthy

He felt humiliated by the way Millie looked at him with strong disdain. He approached her. "Am I not good enough? Do you think I'm not good enough for you?"

Millie suggested with a smile, "You should head home, take a moment to reflect, and really take a good look at yourself."

His expression turned grim, and he was about to slap her. Instantly, Millie grabbed his arm and forcefully pushed him away. "Leave me alone."

She couldn't believe that everyone was daring to challenge her now. The thought of hitting him made her feel disgusted.

"You bitch!" He rolled up his sleeves, feeling annoyed.

Millie was already irritated. Hence, when the man approached her unexpectedly, she couldn't take it anymore. She decided to take her frustration out on him and treated him as a punching bag. Thinking of this, Millie felt energized. As the man prepared to kick, she punched him.

He stepped back and looked at Millie in disbelief. He didn't expect her to be so strong.

Millie gestured to him to come closer. "Come on."

He was furious. "You little!"

Millie smiled and repeated, "Come on."

He was angry and moved forward, but someone next to him grabbed his arm. Before he could react, his arm was held behind his back. Then, someone stepped on his calf, causing him to kneel on the ground.

He cried out in pain. "Ouch, it hurts!"

When he looked up again, the person who beat him up was no longer Millie, rather, it was à man.

"Winston?" Millie was surprised.

Winston turned his head slowly and locked eyes with Millie. A slight frown appeared on his face as he seemed clearly concerned. "Why are you here alone in the middle of the night instead of being at home?"

"Why..." Millie wanted to ask why he was there, but she couldn't find the words. She couldn't believe that she had met Winston at almost 3:00 am. "Just got off work." He went to the harbor to handle the batch of cargo and just returned.

Millie noticed Winston's exhaustion as he stood there with bloodshot eyes. There were scars on the back of his hand. She gently asked, "Were you in a fight?"

He glanced at Millie before turning his attention to the back of his hand. Without uttering a word, he released the man and adjusted his sleeves. "No." "Get lost." Winston kicked the man.

Millie was displeased. "Don't let him go."Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.

"Why?" Winston was confused.

Millie was eager to beat him up again. She felt she hadn't quite finished the job yet. She glared at Winston. "He's my punching bag. If he's gone, should I take it out on you instead?"
